Near the back of the bright, icy entrance hall is a small black door, with a tiny, square, stained glass window set into it. The dark blue patterns of glass in the window change toward the middle, where the delicate panes of thin material - now suddenly such a light shade of blue that it's almost white -mold into the shape of a complex snowflake. Inside the door is a small black room, with just enough light for a single chair to be seen, along with a silver pedestal. The pedestal is emitting a small glow, and atop it is a flat surface, with a dull, stone rune embedded lightly into it. Students are sent into this strange room one at a time. They place both hands tightly on the rune, close their eyes, and make their mind blank. After a second or two, there is a chime, at which the student is to open his or her eyes and look at the rune, which will be glowing either red, blue or yellow...

No New Posts Ice Pass

Ice Pass is the dungeon corridor, so named because of it's extremely low temperature. Even in summer, this passage is freezing, tiny icicles forming in corners instead of cobwebs. Students are required for their own safety to wear cloaks, gloves and other items of warm clothing when going to potions lessons or to the dining hall. Overall, the Ice Pass is a necessary, but horrid, place to walk through.

No New Posts Potions Classroom

With the previous master, who was killed mysteriously by Death Eaters, the classroom was typical. Dark, messy and uncleaned with a slightly unpleasant smell. But the new teacher, Professor Braeden Andrews, everything changed. The room was turned bright and tidy, the stone walls painted white and plenty of light flooded the room. Professor Andrews liked things clean, wanted them clean. And he always got what he wanted.

No New Posts Hall of Snow

The Hall of Snow is, as you all most probably guessed, named because of the contstant amount of snow slowly drifting down. It is fake snow, obviously, made from magic, but the flakes melt normally, just before they touch students - who don't seem to mind anyway - and don't ever make a mess. No water when they've melted, no nothing. Another strange thing about the hall is that, compared to Ice Pass, the hall residing just outside, it is very warm. This can pose as something of a problem, with all the students desperately trying to get out of their cloaks, hats and gloves at the same time, but at least it's a relief from the outside temperature.

No New Posts Entrance Hall

The Entrance Hall is rather surprising. From far away, the thing that sticks out most from Beauxbatons Academy is the huge, circular tower seen shadowing the actual school. This is actually the Entrance hall. The hall is completely circular, without a single corner in it. The doors seem to have been magically built so that they bend to fit the curved walls. Looking up, you can see all the wall up the the ceiling, which is, to match the stained glass window in the sorting cupboard door, made of dark blue glass, paler blue snowflakes and clear glass clouds. There are corridors for all the other floors visible further up the tower, until you can see the people right at the top floor, peering down at you over the silver bars of their 'corridor' type bridge things, built, of course, circle-shaped, around the tower insides.

No New Posts Care of Magical Creatures Classroom

Darien likes things neat and organized, and his classroom is just one example of that. The walls are painted with four different landscapes. One the wall facing the entrance, there is a lovely moving portrait of a waterfall, complete with the sound, though it is turned down slightly. If you sit near it, you'll hear it. On the wall to the left of the door, there is a moving picture of a rain forest, complete with a few animals and their sounds. The same applies for this wall as the waterfall wall. On the wall to the right of the door, a moving landscape of an ocean, complete with the sound of waves crashing against the shore. On the wall that has the door, there is a picture of a cave in the middle of a mountain, the cave being the door's entrance. You can hear sounds, such as bats squeaking and water dripping. Also, each wall has a smell, that if you lean against it, you can smell the scents coming from it. His desk is against the ocean, and the classroom tables are facing the waterfall. There is no chalkboard, but instead, a table at the front of the room for whatever the day's subject may be. He has bookcases against the cave wall on either side of the door filled with books on magical creatures.

This huge, bright room is known as the Hall of Baile, 'baile' being the French word for 'dancing'. Basically, it's the ballroom of Beauxbatons. Usually, the doors to the massive place are tightly locked, as it is used for a store room for chairs and tables, but when the time rolls around for a ball or celebration, the whole room is transformed. Dust is wiped away, unmelting ice statues are placed everywhere and silver tables and chairs are set out everywhere.

Walking into the room, automatically many are awed by the beautiful stained glass windows. They rise high up on the walls. Crimson curtains hang at their sides, tied back with silver and gold tassles. Light filters through here in different colours, leaving speckles of retro all over the red cherry desks. Rows of desks ment to seat two, go back a few rows. Same type wood stools are at each deask. Two stools per desk. Engraved on these are flowers and animals, if any were to inspect them that is. At the front of the classroom, is the wide black chalkboard. Notes are always seen on their, either from the day before, or class before. The teacher doesn't have a desk. Rather a round table at the front of the room, equivallent to that of a tea table. Small, with a stool made out of oak beside it. The kinds of stool and table you would find in a cafe. This magestic place is the Transfiguration classroom. Taught by Professor Ameera Joven, this is a friendly place.

If you happen to find yourself walking along to the end of the corridor on the third floor, you may just come across a small, rather old looking heavy wooden door (fifth on your left), wrought with iron studs, with a heavy metal ring for a handle. Through this door is a surprisingly large room, with high stone ceilings and plenty of shadows. This would would be the classroom of music Prof Sasha di Angelico. The room is a curious mixture of old and Gothic, and new and gaudy. The dark stone walls are mainly draped with heavy dark crimson velvet wall hangings, with a large mahogany desk up near the far wall, and smaller little desks and tables dotted around the room. Along with desks (which seat up to three, with a squeeze), there are a two large and inviting sofas - one leopard print of sorts, the other dark green velvet with silver stars. Sheets of music, and ink blotched parchment are strewn everywhere - on tables, desks, couches, squishy chairs and on the two old pianos situated at opposite ends of the room. The entire room is lit by many flickering candles, dotted all over.

The waterfall is agreed to be the most beautiful and romantic element of the Beauxbatons estate by far. Cool water cascades down the mighty rock, bubbling into a tranquil spring, which flows peacefully around the grounds and is used to fuel the fountain in the garden. It is located rather remotely and is unknown to most students in their first and second years. It is the farthest of anything from the castle, but is worth the journey. Caves behind the falls, although a bit hazardous to venture to due to the slippery rock, provide a delightfully private area. Trees and other sorts of vegetation surround the fountain, some of which grow fruits that are rumored to give eternal youth. Nobody dares to consume the fruits, though, because more prevalent rumors claim they are poison. Brightly colored wild life slips undisturbed through the spring, giving the whole area an air of liveliness and purity.

If you happen to be walking along outside the school grounds, you might just come across a club. You'll hear the pounding rock music from far away, and once you open the door, you'll be blinded by the flashing lights. It's dark, and all the lights are dance lights that flash and move. There's a bar to the right of the door, not too far of a walk, that stretches along the whole wall. There are many stools, and there is always at least one bartender, if not two, working here. There are ash trays placed along the bar. To the left of the door, there are small tables for two with dimmed lighting. Here's where you can chill with your date and perhaps order some food. The dance floor takes up the rest of the area. It is large, and it is always filled with bodies dancing to the loud music. The corners are best to watch out for, as drunks enjoy getting some there. There is a restroom between the couples' tables and the dance floor. Boys are on the left, and girls are on the right.

The Paris above is known worldwide for its magnificence and splendor, but not many can attest to the fact that Underground Paris is even more worthwhile. Of course it isn’t really located Underground (if it were, one could hardly expect to fit Le Baril De Balai!), but is located, rather, in a secluded area of Paris enchanted to keep Muggles away. The cobblestone streets are lined with everything, from Joke Shops to Cafes, Book Stores to Pet Shops, and Witches and Wizards of all statures fill the sidewalks. Perhaps you’ll make your way through Amherst Boulevard to visit the Train Station, or D'Aubigne Trail for the Cauldron Shop, or even Newbury St. for a visit to the Post Office. Just be careful venturing through these roads at night; Paris is not without its shady characters.

The Waldgrave Train Station, located along the entire Amherst Boulevard, takes up half the town. The train itself is relatively old-fashioned, and runs mainly on coal, but a bit of magic helps to coax the speed just enough to kick it up a few notches beyond normal. Its exterior looks just a little too out of date, but when you’re inside it’s as if you’ve walked right into a 5-star hotel. The compartments are separated by ornately carved wood walls and sliding glass walls with a foggy tint. The interiors of the compartments consist of soft, cushiony chairs in a shade of majestic red. It would seem as if there is room on this train for all of France, but that, of course, is a myth that has yet to be proven.

When you enter through the constantly open tent flap, you are immediately struck by a revolting smell that may just remind you of the zoo, only numerous times worse with hideous accordion music repeating the same stanza of music over and over again. Rather than the welcomed feel the kind owner hopes you receive, it prompts you, rather, to examine the exotic creatures, choose one, and leave as quickly as you can.
