Sasha indulged in a deviant little smile as he shook off the last drop of pink tinted liquid into the punch. Glancing over his shoulder, he slipped the little vial into his pocket, and it chinked off the other he'd already used. Ah, Valentine's Day...What a better way to spread the love with a little love potion in the punch, a little truth spell on the water cooler? Non-permanent, of course. The school was tragic enough without any long lasting effects. Sasha pretended to be laying out cups as another teacher passed close by. What next? Ah, yes, the music...
Alexys sighed. He didn't even know why he was there. The whole thing seemed like a silly farce, with the soft lighting, and the soft music, and the candles, and tables for two...It was laughable really. He was spending his 14th February with Lucan, who wouldn't shut up about his sweetheart Molly, at the school disco of all places. He was sitting at a table, with the aforementioned friend, an untouched glass of punch before him. He looked up at the Fina, who was waxing lyrical about his honey at home. Lexi stood up, muttering about getting some drinks. It didn't matter that both their cups were full.
Serphius was nervous. He hated Valentine's Day. Always he felt obliged to tell his crush, in some way, how he felt. He didn't need any truth potion - it's probably all come spilling out anyway. He'd struck two people off his short list - Cove and Alexys, obviously, which left another two; Ashlei and Gaara. Ashlei was a difficult one - he hadn't spoken to her for a while, so it was decided. He was aiming vaguely for Gaara. Sephy had given Lucan, a fellow Fina 7th year, a little piece of parchment to pass on. It was quite plain, just a little drawing of a love heart, and on the other side there was scribbled: "You're gorgeous, you're amazing, and funny, and brilliant!". Cliche, yes, but he hoped it was sweet in a lame-ass way. Now, he was lingering somewhere by the drinks table, a glass of water in his hand. Serphius looked quite different that night. he was wearing a sharp, well tailored black pinstripe suit, with a red shirt. His normally unkempt hair was straightened, and clipped, with little streaks of red through it. No make-up, not even a hint of eyeliner. For once, he actually looked like a real boy, and not in the Pinocchio way. Looking uncomfortable, he ran a hand through his hair, and drank thoughtfully from his glass. The water was too cold, and tasted a little funny, but he didn't mind. What he did mind, however, was the little Lioano heading his way.
"Serphius." Alexys breathed, stopping an arm's length away from the tall, painfully thin boy, "Um, hey." Serphius blinked, colour stirring faintly in his cheeks. He gripped his water with two hands, and nodded shakily. His heart was beating a little faster, and he didn't know what to do or say. Lexi looked great. Just like someone from the pages of an Anne Rice book, with his old red velvet coat, and his foppish mop of dark brown hair falling into his eyes, full of kinks and flicks. "Hi..." The silence was awkward, both trying to avoid each other's eye. "You look...um...you look good. Your hair...nice like that." "T-Thanks. You look good t-too....Oh, God Alexys, I can't do this! I can't play frosty with you, not today!" Lexi looked surprised, and a little embarrassed. A few people looked round at the sudden out burst from Sephy. "What?" "I miss you so much...I don't want to be apart from you any more..." Trembling hands, damp eyes, shaking all over, Serphius looked like he was on the verge of tears. Again. Never mind 'human hosepipe', he was on the level of a 'human fire hydrant', and I'm sure Alexys would whole-heartedly agree. Lexi reached out, and touched Sephy's cheek gently. The taller boy pressed himself into the warmth of his hand, trying not to cry again. "There's nuh-nothing, nothing happening between me and C-Cove, nothing, and I'm sorry! I want you, and I'm s-sorry...Please, Alexys, please...I belong to you, I'm yours through and through...please!" Lexi was left reeling. What was going on? What...What? He felt a little ill as he pulled his hand away. "Don't," he said, shaking his head, his voice a little hoarse, "Don't say that. You...You shouldn't be here...I have to go. I...I don't know...." "No! I don't want you...I don't want you to go!" But Alexys had already grabbed two drinks, and left.
Charlie was bored. Her short red strappy dress was uncomfortable, and her killer black patent leather heels were just a bit too tight. She was sitting at a table by herself, watching everyone go about their business with friends and lovers as usual. It was an odd dance so far. Their seemed to be an odd feeling about the room, a curious buzz. Arguments were breaking out here and there, but no more than usual. There was also a lot of other little scenes - sudden out bursts, plenty of loving going on, tears and laughter too. Not that it didn't happen anyway, but she assumed she was just noticing it more. Still, it was really rather dull.

Ashlei fiddled with the laces under her knee, she had bought knee length boots that laced up at the front. The heel was about two inches, she did like them...but felt terriably uncomfortable. This was what she got though, shopping with someone like Tryyn. Ash had somehow accidentaly fallen in with her, and sometimes she could hardly stand the fakeness that seemed to reverbrate off everyone in a ten mile radius of that girl. A black mini skirt with pretty white lacing on the hem, and a white boys dresshirt over top a black tank top later and Ash was looking slightly more like herself.
It was better then the odd corset thing that showed off too much stomach and cleavage that Ryyn had originally pushed on Ash. Ash bit at her lip slightly, flicking her strawberry blonde curls over her shoulder and gazing around the room with her pink contacts. For the occasion, she had changed her doe-brown eyes to pink. She smiled as she saw a familiar figure come nearly skipping over.
Gaara lept into Ash's lap with a giggle before dislodging himself and sitting in the chair in front of her like a normal person. " Allo Ash!" he cooed in his normal smooth voice. The short asian boy had finally got around to dying his hair from the bleach blonde, to a soft honey brown. He ran his fingers through it with a smile on his face, he had also straightened it so that if fell around his face like a silk curtain. "Isn't it lovely!?" he asked, letting out a boy giggle. He wore a tight pink t-shirt and white cargo-like pants with a chains crossing the back. (The chains a V-day gift from Elly). He seemed to wiggle in his chair for a moment before he scooted off to find someone else to give a valentines squeeze.
Almond shaped eyes narrowed in on a rather distraught looking Alexys, Sephy being blocked by a passing person Gaara is short after all, and he scooted over. Coming up behind the other boy he jumped up and wrapped his arms around the other. "Hap-Happy V-day Lexi!" He said, letting go and grinning cheekily up at the other.
Tryyn threw her dark brown curls over her shoulder, she had put them into glossy ringlets that framed her face and slender shoulders. A heart shaped nose ring had been inserted into her nose, while stick on jewels made a word across her one cheek that simply read, 'Sexy'. Tight white tube top, and a short pink mini skirt that was clearly more like a belt then a suitable garment was thrown over her lean olive skinned body. She was on the dancefloor swinging her hips and moving her body in waves. Her dancing style provocative and switching to grind with different boys.
Throwing her head back in a laugh, she teased one of them that had clearly drinken too much of the punch and was nearly falling over his own feet to do things for her. Ryyn brushed them off and headed down the dancefloor, eyes searching for different people that she may know.
Cam was roughly pushed into the room by a spunky looking Phoenix. Tripping over his own feet and just nearly stopping himself from falling on his face. He had tried to wear a hoodie and jeans but of course, Phoenix had somehow made her way into the boys Intermise dormitories and changed that. He still didn't know how she got in there. Now he had on one of his tight black t-shirts that he had grown out of, and swore he would throw it out...too bad he hadn't fallowed through. He hated how it clung to his slender figure, Phoenix had also ripped the sleeves off showing his pale shoulders.
He had managed to get off with a pair of black skater shorts with chains hanging criss cross over the legs. His converse had duct tape around them due to Phoenix breaking the laces trying to get them off in the first place. Cam cowered into a corner, eyes staring rather paranoid like from their black inked designs.

Luckily, Alexys had just sat the punch down on the table when his small, bouncy and of course somewhat adorable friend attached himself to his back, or else Lucan would have had a rather unexpected shower. Lexi spun around, his look of distress melding effortlessly into one of mixed surprise and pleasure. "Ah, Gaara!" he said, smiling pleasantly. Brown eyes glanced over to where Serphius had been standing, "Yes, yes, happy Valentines day! What, no flowers? Joke, obv. My, you're looking...delightfully casual." Alexys pulled out a chair, an invitation to sit, before he dropped into his own chair looking almost tired. He nudged a drink towards Gaara, as he didn't really feel like having all three of them, seeing as he didn't actually particularly like punch in the first place. "Having fun so far? I bet you could hardly get out of bed this morning with the mounds and mountains of roses and tokens of affection from your squillion and twenty one admirers, right?" He sad jokingly, with a little laugh. He half expected the tiny Fina to agree with him - lord knows enough people fancied him...
Serphius leaned against the drinks table, quite positively hating himself. God, why couldn't he just keep his mouth shut? He prayed sincerely that somehow, he'd wake up a mute in the morning because it would save everyone a whole lot of trouble, he was sure. He glanced around the room with a lamenting sigh, and stopped mid breath. he frowned. Was it...? "Ashlei!" he called softly, waving his hand a little, "Hey, Ash!"

Gaara plopped himself into the chair, his honey brown hair falling across one side of his face. While he had re-dyed it he had made it longer. It now reached his chin and got a tiny bit longer near the back. He smiled broadly, "Elly had to dig me out." He said, eyes sparkling as he joked. He had quite a few anonymous admirer's, and a whole bunch of chocolate sitting at the foot of his bed, but he of course was exaggerating it for entertainment. He looked at the punch, and grabbed a glass twirling it around between his fingers as he eyed the red liquid suspiciously. There was always a catch to these drinks at a wizarding acadamy, Gaara was yet to figure out what it was the poor oblivious loli-shota. "Where is everyone? You are the first one I have seen out of the boys." He said, bouncing rather animatedly on his chair as the music and loud noises made his adrenline rush and a sense of hyperness taking over.
Ash had been watching Tryyn with a slight look of envy and hate at the same time as admiration. Ugh, the girls you love to hate and please. She kicked her legs up onto the table, crossing her leather knee length boots at the ankles. Her jean skirt fell back slightly, showing more of her long tan legs then she usually did. She pulled at the hem slightly, wishing the material would grow an inch. Ash wore mini-skirts on a regular basis, but this skirt was short short. Strawberry blond head turned as she thought she heard her name, shaking her head she went back to watching the dancefloor. "Hey, Ash!" She then whipped around, legs falling off from the table as she spotted Sephy. A smile spread across her face, and she bounced slightly clapping her hands. "Serphius! Hey, Happy V-day!" She said standing up and jogging over to him. She fished around in the back pocket of her jean skirt, and pulled out a valentine with a grin. Holding it out to him she smiled, glad that she had made friends this year round. Her last year round.

Throwing back the rest of his over-chilled water, Serphius dropped the empty glass back onto the table. "Happy Valentine's Day to you too!" He said, graciously accepting the valentine from her with a delighted smile, as though he was perfectly happy. Ah, how sweet of her! "Ooh, to be honest Ashlei, I've never gotten one of these - not including Lexi's, even if it is just between friends! Thank you." He looked away bashfully (it was hard not to stare at the hemline of her skirt - it made his cheeks redden just thinking about it), and was mildly surprised to see a little familiar huddle of black lurking in the corner. It brought about another smile. He hadn't expected to see Cam here, of all places. "Uhm, I'm sorry I don't have anything for you..." he said almost shyly, "Anyway, I haven't seen you in ages! How have you been?"
"Of course, of course," Alexys agreed, watching Gaara thoroughly inspect the glass of punch with a raised eyebrow, "I haven't poisoned it, you know." Lexi grinned. That was Master Kyrowki for you, he thought to himself. As for the question, he shrugged. "To be honest, I don't really know." He said, trying to sound casual and unbothered as the little Fina bounced around excitedly, "I think Serphius is hanging around the drinks table, talking to some girl he knows. As for Cove, and the rest of them, I haven't seen anyone."

Ash giggled as she watched the familliar blush slowly creep at the hollows of Serphius's cheeks. At least he wasn't stuttering, the poor fellow could sometimes not even get a word out straight. It was cute though. "Thats quite alright Serphius. Im doing...well alright. Do you know Ryyn in your year? She has decided that I need to be socialized." Ash said, motioning with her index fingers downward to the overly short skirt and knee length leather boots. "Althought, I dont understand where these come into play." She frowned then laughed, flicking her strawberry blonde curls over her shoulders.
"What about you? How are you and the boys, I feel like its been years since I spoke with all of you even though its only been what...a month?" She smiled warmly, happy to be standing beside Serphius and feeling comfortable then with Ryyn and her clique and feeling completely akward and like an ostrich on roller blades. Ash was taller then Ryyn and most of Ryyn's friends, and always felt huge around them.
Gaara giggled, "Of course you didn't Lexi. I was more thinking of the teacher lurking around the table earlier looking like he may have a hidden agenda." He whispered the last part, wiggling his eyebrows then taking the glass of punch he took a tentive sip. He wasn't really all that thirsty, felt more like getting up and dancing or possibly just bouncing around the hall visiting his friends like he did even when there wasn't music blasting and a party going headstrong.
O.o.c// OH NO! Gaara drank the punch...

Serphius smiled and nodded, glad that she didn't mind. Her little giggle was quite un-nerving though - was she laughing at him? He was feeling so awkward in his fancey suit, and he missed the hair, the make-up, the mask that he could hide behind. It was strange to be normal. "Ryyn...Ryyn...Oh, yeah, her....You hang out with her?" He couldn't quite hide the tint of surprise from his voice. It seemed like a rather unusual pairing, "I think - uhh...I th-think they're quite nice. I think..." Serphius slipped out a small laugh himself. He forgot how easy it was to talk to Ashlei. It was nice to know he still had a friend somewhere he could get along with. How could he screw this up? "Well, I'm not actually doing that good. Me and the boys....well, I-I think I can safely say I've royaly fucked that one up. And yeah, it has been a while..."
"Who? That weird music teacher guy? Yeah, I saw him hanging around too...He's a bit...strange that guy. Someone told me he's a pervert - saw him kissing one of the students..." Alexys picked up his own glass, and looked at it closely. He swirled it a little, and smelled it, took a little sip. "Mm, it tastes normal enough. Nothing wrong with it..." Alexys trailed off, and a funny little shiver ran down his spine. His brown eyes were fixed firmly upon Gaara, and his insides gave a temendous leap, as though he'd just done a somersault on a broom, "Oh my...Oh wow. Oh!"

Gaara wrinkled his nose, "Huh." he said thinking about the music teacher for a moment. However his mind just slipped back to Lexi and how nice his hair looked. Gaara shook his head, what? Then how soft the other boys lips looked...a pressure started squeezing his chest and he felt like his stomach was flipping. Almond shaped eyes glanced at Lexi with a huge imploring look, he giggled a blush coming over his cheeks. "You look pretty Lexi." he said, leaning on the table his head supported with one hand as he tilted it.
Ash giggled, "Yes, her...fake yet irresistable isn't she? Ashlei's mouth dropped slightly at Serphius's next words. What could Sephy possibly do to fuck things up with the boys? Everyone simply adored him, Sephy was what attracted the group together...he was the glue. She saw the sorrow in the younger boys eyes and she took his hand slowly and gently remember the last time she touched him he had flinched and looked like a scared animal. "Want to talk about it, or forget about it?" she asked, wide brown doe eyes watching him reproachfully. If he wanted to talk about it, she was interested to what he could have possibly done and they could go sit in one of the secluded tables. If he wanted to forget...she would find a way to distract him.

A voice in the back of Alexys' mind was yelling that something was funny here, but it was definitely drowned out by the rest of him that was screaming Gaara. Those eyes, those lips, the sweet honey blond hair. His breath caught in his throat with that look, and the comment. He said he was pretty! Pretty! Lexi just about melted. "You're gorgeous!" he blurted out, all his 'suaveness' just about imploding, "I mean...you're not too bad yourself..." Alexys's breath was catching in his throat. His mouth felt dry, so he shakily picked up his punch, and half drained the glass. He was trying to remember the last time he felt like this. Flashes of memories from long ago came to him...a dark corridor...black hair boy with a bloodied lip...the first time he met Serphius. The first time they kissed... But Lexi couldn't, and quite forcibly wouldn't think about that - wouldn't think about him. It was considerably easier than he thought, seeing as every fiber of his being felt like it would much rather think about the amazing little Adonis perched right in front of his. Honey...honey...honey....
Serphius rubbed his eyes with his hand. "Well, the just of it is...I love Alexys, and I love Cove too, but Cove doesn't love me - I pretty sure of it - and now Alexys hates me because I love Cove and also because I told him I hated him and he hates Cove because I loved him and now nobody likes me except maybe you and then Gaara is still just so darn cute!" he took a deep breath to avoid collapsing, and offered a weak smile to Ashlei, "Did you catch all that? Yeah, neither did I...But I think I might just break down if I dwell on it...So yeah, I do want to forget about it. Want a drink?"
l'ooc//: Fiiiinished finally! ;D

Ash blinked rapidly for a moment, her brain racing to process the quick blurt of information. Oh dear. It sounded as if poor teenage hearts were being trampled. Then she giggled, "Yes, Gaara is quite adorable, much like a little rabbit that you may carry 'round in your pocket all day." she smiled as he relayed to her how he didn't understand the situation and wouldn't blame her if she didn't either. She thought it over for a moment, not paying attention as he asked her a question. She looked back at him, "Oh,...drink..sorry yes." she said catching up with herself, she was still holding his hand, whether he had noticed it or not.
Ash gave it a reassuring squeeze, telling him that she was there for him if he ever needed to talk. She led him to the table where the punch was, looking at it curiously as she tried to decide what kind it was.
Gaara couldn't help but let a satisfied smile creep across his lips when Lexi called him gorgeous. He cocked his head slightly, almond eyes glancing at the other boy through his lashes. In a way, this didn't feel right. Gaara knew, just like every other member of their group about Lexi and Sephy. But the small asian boy's thoughts were pushed into a little corner of his mind and a pleasent warm fuzzy feeling took over their iron grip. He leaned forward slightly, "Would you like to dance?" he asked, a rather tempting smile on his face.

Mutely, he nodded, and let himself be pulled gently towards the drinks table by Ashlei. Ah, yes, gently...Was there really any other way with that girl? Or at least that's the way Serphius felt. He couldn't help but stare at their hands, long fingers loosely entwined with each other. It felt odd, to hold fingers almost as delicate as his own spidery digits. Everything felt odd that evening, and it wasn't only him that was feeling the effects of it. When he felt Ashlei squeeze his hand, he looked up at her with unsure eyes. He was scared. He knew that to anyone else, it was stupid, being like this because you've fallen out with a friend, but for him, it was different. The years of abuse he'd suffered at the hands of his father and brother had isolated Serphius. He had no trust, no love for anyone, because nobody had ever had any for him. Alexys was the first one to try and breach that barrier. First contact. First friend. First kiss, first willing time, first love...And for years, he'd been the only one, Serphius's link to the world he lived in, until recently when he found a proverbial goldmine of wonderful people. Ironically, finding them had pretty much ruined everything. Serphius looked away, pulling his hand out of Ashlei's and holding it close to his as he hovered uselessly near the little cups. "Uhm, would you like punch? There's...There's water over there too, if y-you'd like...."
Alexys felt his pulse quicken sharply when Gaara smiled. Smug little bastard, he though to himself in a confused but intensely affectionate way. His cheeks coloured faintly red, and he was feeling weak all over. This wasn't good, this wasn't right! It was his own job to make people feel like that, not the other way about...But then Gaara had that ability, that special knack that reduced even the slickest and coldest of people to mumbling, bumbling ukes. It was his special gift. Alexys knew he didn't stand a chance trying to play it "cool". But did he want to dance? Of course wanted to dance with him, but there was just the question of if, and how. Dancing had always been a puzzle to Lexi. Sure, he knew a few waltz steps, perhaps a reel too, and he could just about get by without seriously injuring anyone, but when it came to any other sort of dancing, he was clueless. He didn't really know what to do. It looked and fine and easy, gyrating and rubbing yourself against someone on the dance floor, but it was damn easy to make a complete tit out of yourself too, which was one thing he really didn't want to do there and then. But none the less, he nodded eagerly and stood up, offering his hand to Gaara. "Shall we then?"

I cant help my feelings, Ill go out of my mind These players come to get me cause theyd like my behind I cant love my business if I cant get a trick Down on santa monica where tricks are for kids

"Hai!" Gaara said, momentarily slipping into Japanese and nodding his head excitedly. He darted out of his chair, and grabbed Lexi's hand. His fingers were slender and delicate, yet they had a strong force that was almost shocking for such a child-like looking boy. The chains at his pants clicked slightly, reminding him breifly of the young man who had given them to him. Elly...where was Elly anyhow? Gaara's mind switched tracks back to Lexi, and he really didn't care. The dancefloor was already full of kids dancing, it was like a mob. Unless you danced on the outside (which was no fun at all) you would be dancing with at least four people instead of just one. Everyones bodies bumping against each other, everyone seeming to find that intimate side of themselves with the others around them.
Gaara pretty much dove into the mosh dragging Lexi with him. Feeling the music and an undefined heat course through his veins, the young asian boy turned and his one hand snaked up to the back of Lexi's neck. He pulled the other boy further into the mass of grinding bodies, his face quite close to the others, his nose almost touching Lexi's. Before he let go and turned, hair flicking into the others face in a most teasing manner before letting the music simply absorb into his movement.
Ash smiled to Serphius, her nose wrinkling slightly. "Your cute when you stutter." she said, before looking back to the punch with narrowed eyes. She didn't trust it all that much, so she took a cup and filled it halfway with water, then filled the rest of it with punch diluting the substance. At least if there was anything added to it, it would only be a quarter as strong as it was before. "I don't trust the school's many pranksters to leave the punch alone." she said as way of explanation as she took a sip of the liquid. The sweetness of the punch was still there under the bland taste of water. Her eyes wandered to the dancefloor, and then back to Serphius.
At times like this, she missed the fact that her only girl friend Lei had been killed in the Death Eater attacks. The girl with the short blue hair and the spunky yet quiet attitude. "Have you seen Elly around?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. She had spotted Gaara and Lexi on the dancefloor, but hadn't seen Elly yet. Elly was permanantly attached to Gaara's side at social functions and she began to become curious as to where the boys whereabouts were. Her brown eyes even found his younger cousin Cam lurking in a corner where his friend Phoenix was trying to drag him in to dance.

Serphius frowned fleetingly, and shifted from foot to foot, trying to smile for Ashlei. "I'm n-n-no-not cute," he said, obviously a bit flustered. He hated people telling him his stutter was cute. He hated it, and it had plagued him for years and years. As for the comment about the pranksters of the school, he eyed his punch worriedly, and sat the cup down. He wasn't thirsty anyway, he decided.
Serphius shook his head slowly. He hadn't seen Elliot, or anyone....appart from Alexys, of course. "Have you see C-Cove anywhere?" he asked in reply, sticking one hand behind him to cross his fingers. He didn't want to see him there, but he needed to. They had to talk about all this.
If Alexys was going to object, he didn't have any time to as Gaara snatched him away to the dance floor before he could so much as blink. In a flash, he was jammed amoung a sea of hot, damp twisting bodies on the dance floor, with Gaara (evidently on his tip-toes?) so close - my god, so close! - and the music smothering his senses. He felt like he was drowning in it all, but it was the best feeling in the world there and then. As for the dancing, there was no problems there so far. There was hardly any room to move properly, so if you just shuffled and wiggled around a bit to the music, you looked as effortlessly cool as everyone else. As Gaara let go to go dance a little bit more, Lexi made a needy noise that was easily lost in the general noise of everything, and his own hands sought for, and snuck around the smaller Fina's deliciously trim waist to pull him closer again. He wanted him as close as possible.
