Cove didn't hear Serphius's panicked voice beside him, and he most certainly didn't feel Vance somewhere close to him beside Serphius. He didn't hear the yelling or the noise around him, and he didn't hear Professor Braeden. His attention, what little there was left of it, was focused on Elly. "It's okay Cove, you'll be alright." A hand was gently touching his chest before brushing across his cheek, and it was the contact that caused him to calm down just slightly. Not much, seeing as he was barely able to breathe, but a little, which was a start. He felt Elly's fingers gently take hold of his own, lacing through them, and he felt a small squeeze. He tried to return it, but it ended up being more of a not-so-loose feeling before his hand loosened again.
Elly's hand took his own to his lips, and Cove was aware of his lips brushing ever-so-lightly across his knuckles. His slowing heart skipped a beat, racing a little more than it had been for a moment before the poison slowed it again, and a bout of dizziness closed in on him. "I'm sorry." Despite himself, Cove couldn't help it. A silent tear rolled down his cheek, falling to the floor, but he didn't realize it. It took him a minute to realize that he cried. No more came, though, and he struggled to move. After a moment, he managed to scoot closer to Elly, and he fell over, his head laying on Elly's lap and his body now twisted onto his back. He looked up at him, and made a strangled sound as his vision started to fade, holding onto it desperately.
His hand squeezed, tightening on Elly's own as he forced himself to hold on. It hurt. God, it hurt. He'd been shaken out of his numbness, and now the pain of the poison and the glass he was laying on hit him at once, and he gasped, eyes shooting wide as he groaned. As if from far away, he heard other voices, but they were more like annoying noises in the background and nothing for him to actually make out. He looked up at Elly, swallowing before his lips parted as he whispered just so the lovely boy could hear. "I'm... sorry... too..." He took a shaky breath and continued, struggling,"Just... in case... I die... I..." He paused, catching his breath, his chest rising and falling rapidly. "Know that... I... don't... regret it..." Would he know what he was talking about?
He was silent for a moment, catching his breath, before he tried again, his throat working hard to form the words that his heart longed to say. "You... are special... to me... Elly... I think... I might... love... you..." He stared at him for a second, his chest slowing, before he brought Elly's hand down to him, pressing a kiss to his palm before his eyes slid closed and he passed out. His vision was black, but the image of Elly was still there, and he clung to it desperately. As his breathing slowed, along with his heart, he knew that even if he didn't die, he had said it. He had the courage to tell the beautiful boy the very thing that had been torturing him these past few weeks... It was nice. A faint smile curved his lips, but it was hardly noticeable and far from a true one.

To only be able to sit and and cry watch Cove as the poison ravished him made Serphius feel so helpless, and scared. To sit and cry and watch while he told Elliot he was in love with him made him feel down right sick. His hands clenched into white knuckled fists, and he scrambled to his feet, upsetting the drinks table. He almost tipped it over, sending most of the things on it, including the punch bowl itself, sliding off. The glass bowl shattered spectacularly when it hit the floor, and the cups clattered noisily round it, barely noticed by Serphius. His shaking hands were on his chest, and he looked around desperately for someway to get out and away from the crowds that were starting to gather. His chest was rising and falling rapidly as he started to hyperventilate. The people all around him, so noisy and loud, felt like a wall pushing in on him. His tear stained face was confused and scared. His breath was failing him, his head was aching and nauseous.
"H-H-Help..." he managed to choke out, his knees threatening to buckle again, "I c-can't....gotta get...out..."
Alexys smiled softly down at Gaara, leaning into his delicate hand, covering it with his own. He felt so ridiculously happy, so peaceful just because his friend was there, holding him, kissing him. This warmth, this feeling, this natural high was unlike any he'd ever had before, and he wanted it to last forever...But then Gaara broke away again. He almost sighed.
He looked over at the commotion that his attention had be drawn to, and frowned. Lexi looked back down at Gaara, and smiled again, "If you want to go see him, then we can go. But he doesn't love you like I do...We can see him on the way out, yes?"
(Whewt, short - but I have to go =[ )

Elliott's mouth fell ajar, h-h-he whaaat!?!?. Elly watched in slight shock, grey eyes wide and then his face turned a bit angry. "As fucking if, you are not going to die after telling me that Mr.Bentley" He said, running his fingers through Cove's dark hair as the boy had turned and laid his head in Elly's lap. Then he threaded his arms under Cove's and hoisted the boy up with him. Putting his shoulder to Cove's waist the other boy folded, and Elly picked him up. Hah! Elly said a silent kudos to Gaara for making him do those tedious morning workouts. The silly little asian boy was a fanatic for Taijitsu, along with his crazy little cousin.
Elly looked to the professor, and said "I'm taking him to the hospital wing since there seems to be a lack of help here." he said, his voice slightly harsh for his normally bubbly personae. He strained slightly under Cove's weight, although Cove was quite light, he still weighed nearly the same as Elly himself. With his lips in a slight pout, like a ornery child, he carried the young Fina toward the exit. "It is so not ending like this." Elly said determinedly.

Ashlei had watched this unfold in stunned silence. Usually one to jump into action, and praised for having common sense when others went into panic mode, she couldn't help but feel shocked. One moment, everyone is trying to cheer up, and the next there is a new boy, and Cove is on the ground dying! Her mouth opened and closed like a fish, and all she could do is watch as Elly picked the other boy up and started walking out of the Hall of Baile. Finally she managed to shake her head, and clear it, turning to see Serphius surrounded in shattered glass and plastic cups nearly having a seizure he was shaking and stuttering so bad. Ash walked over the glass, the frail peices crunching under the soles of her black boots, and took the seeming frightened boys hand. Please don't flinch...I don't know if I could take it, I might end up a blubbering mess like you. she silently prayed and slowly started to pull Serphius out of the mess.
"Come on Serphius, let's go get you a paper bag or something...your nearly blue your hyperventilating so bad." she commented, as if it could calm him and fill the void of unease. She hated this, and yet found that the only way to get over it was to be active in it. She had to rebridge this friendship, it hadn't fallen, but it had crumbled, and she needed to put more mortar into it and maybe some cement. Yeah, some cement.
Gaara smiled up at Lexi as if lovestruck, and turned to walk over to the little group of drama, when he saw Elly carrying Cove out and Ash helping Sephy. His mouth made a little 'o' shape and he turned back to Lexi. "I guess it's taken care of." he said softly, then got a mischevious smile on his face. Then he raised an eyebrow and one slender hip was stuck out slightly. "Well then, are we going to go be naughty in a dark corner or what?" he asked, his voice a low purr for what it was normally a rather high pitched childish one. The waves of lust rolled through him and he felt himself wanting to be closer. Gaara just wanted to be closer, he wanted Lexi's mouth again and to feel the other boys chest nearly pressed against his.
O.o.c// mine was short too...eck.

"You... are special... to me... Elly... I think... I might... love... you..." Vance froze, eyes shooting wide open as his mouth parted, staring at the two of them. Then Cove fainted in Elly's arms after kissing his palm, and he didn't even realize that his hand was at his throat. He felt strange, dizzy, but he couldn't figure out why. Then, as Jon stood up and looked at him, he realized that he was having a difficult time breathing. Love? Love?! Then he heard words, and he turned to see Serphius having some sort of attack, and the girl was helping him. He, being nearly right beside the boy, swallowed hard and looked at him. He looked at the girl, feeling his throat tight as he turned back to the boy.
Then he stepped forward, his hand shaking, as he gently brought it to rest on Serphius's arm. He struggled to form words, somehow managing to get them out through a throat that felt too tight to even breathe easily. "Don't... Don't worry... Let's... get you... out of here..." He swallowed again, looked at the girl, and asked,"You got that side?" He pulled it together, taking a deep breath from lungs that burned, and shook his head a little, trying to clear it. He managed to somewhat, and he looked at Serphius, moving a little closer so that if he fell, he could catch him. "I know... it hurts, but..." His eyes fell on the floor as he whispered, not realizing he was actually speaking to himself now. "You have to... move on..."
((Working on the rest, so it's coming. Patience, loves.))

The room was slowly spinning by now, doing nothing to help Serphius keep his already poor balance. The constant noises of people shouting and talking so loudly in the excitement was reduced now to an incessant drone that rattled round his head and the only person he could clearly see was Ashlei, coming towards him again, reaching to take his hand. Sephy's first instinct was get out of her way as quickly as possible. Shuffling back rapidly, he accidentally stood on a cup on the floor and nearly went sprawling in the glass and mess all around him. He stuck his hand out to break his fall, and yelped in pain when the shards pierced his delicate skin. Serphius scrambled to his feet quickly, almost sliding again. He looked like Bambi on ice, long limbs everywhere - you'd be forgiven for thinking he'd been drinking.
"D-Don't take me...t-t-to the Med-Medical...Wing," he struggled to say, fighting to take control of his breathing again. The room was coming to a stand still again, but he still felt so very woozy - the sight of his own blood was enough to do that. Serphius couldn't look at Ashlei in the face. He knew that people didn't like it when he flinched away from them, but he couldn't help it, he really couldn't. What the fuck is wrong with me? It was Cove that drank the wine, he chided himself, not me. Now look what you've done! Chest still heaving, he shut his eyes, feeling his throat tighten up again, "I-I-I'm sorry...I'm a-a-an i-i-idiot. M-mess eh-everything up - just l-look at me!"
Gradually, he reached out to take her hand again as Ashlei had intended, but did jump a little when Vance took his other arm. Serphius looked at the boy a little reproachfully, but was secretly happy that someone was making sure he was going to be okay, even if he didn't know him. His words, though they were meant to be comforting, unnerved Serphius a little. It was as though they weren't meant for him.
"I-I-I w-want to go...b-back to th-th-the Common R-Room - n-not the Medical...W-Wing...please..." he panted, trying not to lean too heavily on the stranger, or get blood on Ashlei's lovely outfit. Black eyes flickered shut, saving him the sight of Cove and Elliot, Alexys and Gaara, and all the other folk that seemed to have paired up, "I'm s-sorry..."
Alexys laughed a little at Gaara's provocative actions. He reached out for the little Fina, one hand on the sticking out hip, and other slipping round his small waist, pulling him as close as he could. He grinned wolfishly, and kissed him quickly.
"In the corner? I'm ready for bending you over this here table, never mind going all the way over there," he whispered, stooping to bring his lips to the warm, soft skin of Gaara's neck, running his hand up his back. Alexys shifted slightly, nibbling on his ear gently, "Or you could...come up to my room, perhaps? I have a bottle of wine or four on ice. We could crack one open...see where it takes us, hmm?"

((Not done. I have most of what I need to reply to in my post as references, so don't freak out on me, 'kay? xD I'll try and finish tomorrow. I should have time. My only plan is a lesson at 2. ^^))
He laughed and said,"Well, it's nice to know that I can push aside the thought of having terrifying ankles. Or any other part of me, for that matter." He wiggled his eyebrows at her before bursting into laughter. Then he grinned, chuckling, and said,"Well, you see, usually they were either extremely drunk, or, well... just not very bright in general." He laughed, kissing her softly. "Ah, yes. Somewhere we need to be about... Well, not too long from now. So, yes, we should leave, and I think you'll enjoy it. And no, I will not tell you what it is. You'll have to wait to see for yourself." He winked at her and took her hand, leading her out of the dance, not hardly even seeing anyone else but her or where they were heading. Destination: their future.
She smiled and said,"Better. And necessary. Deal with it." She stuck her tongue out at him before pressing a kiss softly to his neck as she rested her head on his shoulder comfortably, closing her eyes. She laughed when he said the last part, feeling his heartbeat against her chest and his warmth all around her. Even his smell was enveloping her, taking her breath away. "Oh, yes. Most definitely. So you had better be a good boy, because I'd hate to have to miss out on that." She smiled, her lips still against his neck, and kissed him again before simply dancing and letting herself get lost in him and everything else, but mostly him.
Again, Roxie just nodded at first, but she felt the need to speak in reply to Jon and said, “I suppose. But I’m sure you’ll get better.” She wasn’t really sure. She wasn’t really sure at all, but it was the best that she could do in ways of reassuring Jon- as well as herself, selfish as that sounds. Roxie shook her head to clear it of any morbid thoughts, and replied, “Er… I think that I might just have a simple water.” But they never got that far, as something started happening with Cove…
Lareina followed the male to a seat at a table and flopped onto it, in a way that was less that graceful. But, let’s face it; this was Lareina Darcy. She had been smiling softly when she first sat, but she soon cottoned on that what Adam wanted to say to her was important, and the smile disappeared. “’Kay.” She said when he said that he needed to tell her some things. As he spoke, starting with his parents and their relationship, she just nodded along, listening intently for once and not saying anything at all. She sympathized with him, she really did. She hadn’t grown up with good parents, either. Adeline was the closest thing she had to a parent.
She looked, surprisingly, a little upset by the next thing he said, and she said quickly, “It don’t sound cheesy, Adam. I know what it’s like, ‘cause our dad was always beatin' on us, too, whenever he was there.” But this wasn’t about her, she realized, and she soon settled into quiet once more and listened. The speed at which he spoke rapidly increased, until he almost babbled the last bit about regretting being a Death Eater. Contrary to what he seemed to think, she wasn’t that shocked. She didn’t know why, but it didn’t affect her too much. He was still Adam, whether he was marked as a Death Eater or otherwise.
Which was why the young Darcy didn’t appreciate it at all when he got up and simply… left. Looking baffled, she exclaimed out loud, “What the… what the fuck?!” She stood hastily and followed him, wherever he was heading.
Braeden smiled faintly and responded, “I guess we are.” He closed his eyes lightly, involuntarily, when her hand brushed against his cheek, and they stayed closed until she whispered her question to him. Then he opened them and glanced at Elizabeth’s stomach, before murmuring, “I- I don’t know, Elizabeth, I-” He looked around her, however, stopping speaking when his name was bellowed. He didn’t say anything, and he squeezed her hand when she pulled him after her, not caring who saw anymore. It didn’t matter. Her pregnancy had been the big thing that had their relationship - whatever it was - out in the open anyway.
He rushed forward to see that it was Cove that had been poisoned, and he checked to make sure it was the right poison and that he would know how to cure it, ignoring the whispers around him as students asked each other if they thought that it was him that had done it. He‘d had a shady past, after all, and he was the Potions Master... Then he turned around to a red-haired girl that was named Aeryn. “Do you know what a Bezoar stone is?” he asked her, to get a hasty nod in response. “Get me one from the store room down the hall, and get it fast.” She took of right away, dashing out the door. Braeden just hoped that she would get back in time…
Before this happened, however, Adeline Darcy had been talking to Darien. “N-no!” she exclaimed. “Everything’s fine!” She didn‘t have to say anything more, however, as he rushed off to see to the yelling student. Alec, however, did no such thing, and spoke to her. “I can’t tell him,” she replied. “And neither can you.” She touched his arm pleadingly. “Not yet. Not so soon…”
Kai was about to respond to her, parting his lips slightly to speak when her mouth was back on his a second time.Catching him with his mouth open, he decided to be daring and gently ran his tongue over her lip, one hand coming up to rest at her jawbone. He had missed her so much, he hadn't quite realized it until now. The fifteen year old boy was the first to pull away, and he took her hand as he stood up. "I would like to sweep you away to a corner and ravish you...but I don't think that's aloud at school, so do you want to walk or dance or something?" he said, his voice cracking from misuse at certains areas of the sentance. His green eyes staring down levely at hers.
He shifted his feet slightly, and then remembered that there was someone else sitting at the table with Faith and he gave them a small nod in greeting. Blonde hair shifting down to cover his one eye. Where it used to just fall to touch his eyelashes, it was now nearly to the end of his nose. His blonde hair had grown while he had been in a coma and he hadn't yet had a chance to cut it.
