Guess this is where it all beging When we let the music play Wanna drag me in Taste me like champagne And let your hands go everywhere On my body, through my hair Your moves are so amazing You know it makes me crazy
When Lexi's hands wrapped around his waist to pull him closer, Gaara felt a jolt go through his spine. His one hand rose to place itself on the taller boys chest, as his hips moved ever so saucily under his hands. A cheeky grin was on his face, as he let the other pull him in closer. Others moved in to take the space he had previously occupied, and he felt the swell of the people as they moved in the wave of the music. The small framed asian boy had no idea what he was thinking, his thoughts all muddled by a dense cloud, and strengthening a feeling of lust.
Without a thought, his other hand came up behind Lexi's head and pulled the others face down to his where his lips firmly pressed themselves against the others. Every little organism in his body screamed go, but another part of him seemed to tug him back ever so gently. A part that said that all of this was wrong, but the voice was small and insignificant in the whole of the matter. Gaara's lips left that of Lexi's, his eyes looking at the flesh he had just left, since to look into the others eyes was; one something he would have to tilt his head back to look up, and two a strange feeling of remorse and regret stifled through his nerves. However, as the next song's melody rose his own spirits did and he found himself rocking to the music and the little nagging worries being blissfully swept back away and his current infatuation with the lovely Mr.Prso returning.
Even in the pouring rain Even in the stars above I'm here with you again Even if we're not in love We'll dance together in the dark I know how to light the spark I'm burning up with my desire I wanna play with fire
Ash smiled warmly as he denied her compliment. She had two brothers, correct that, she used to have two brothers but now had only one, and she understood the fact that sometimes little things like that could mean all the difference to them feeling like the young man they were becoming and the boy that they were. She leaned over slightly, running an index finger along the edges of the leather boots, her legs were sweating in them and the leather was starting to constrict and rub making her quite uncomfortable. Then there was the jean skirt that was horrendously short, it didnt matter that she had legs that go on forever as Tyyrn said, it was still uncomfortable.
Flicking a few strands of her strawberry blonde curls over her shoulder she shook her head. "No, I havn't seen anyone but you, Lexi and Gaara." she said, thinking about the few moments before when she had seen Gaara pulling the other into the crowded dancefloor. Well, at least someone was taking Lexi's mind off the problematic tension between the young Mr. Prso and Mr.De la Ravin. Taking another drink from her cup, she felt a warm buzz through her veins. Of course, someone had after all spiked it. Her lips parted to remark on it to Serphius when suddenly her emotions shifted. Her eyes squinted ever so slightly for a moment, as she tried to detect what was slowly taking over her. What kind of potion or booze did this? Her mind rattled around as it tried to remember lessons and what kind of potions came out with certain outcomes. However her mind skipped around like a broke reccord and instead she found herself smiling rather softly and looking up through her lashes at Serphius.
"Did I-um...tell you how handsome you look tonight?" she found herself saying, it was if she was viewing herself from another place. What was happening? Why did she feel herself become gravitated toward Serphius, her voice had come out silkily too. Why? She battled her insides, fighting to take control. Ash found herself at a decision, she could sink into the lovely warm fuzzy feeling that emenated from her body or she could fight to keep from being engulfed. Oh dear.
Don't stop it no, surrender to the beat just you and me Just like it used to be, set your heart free when you surrender Don't stop it no, cause I can feel the heat of you and me Just like it used to be, set your heart free when you surrender

It was hot on the dance floor, and it was only getting hotter. Sweat was starting to bead on Lexi's delicately flushed cheeks, and the dancing had nothing to do with it. So close, so close, until they were kissing, sensitive lips pressed hard against each others, the warm metal of his lip ring digging in slightly. The hands on Gaara's perfect hips slipped under the tight material of his pink t-shirt to touch the gentle skin underneath. Lexi's heart gave a tremendous leap, and it felt like his knees were going to buckle when Gaara pulled away again.
All rational thinking was pleasantly smothered behind faint fuzzy haze of pink. The strange feelings for Gaara wasn't just lust - though lord knows he had one immense case of the Screaming Thigh Sweats thanks to those swaying hips and honey-sweet lips - but something much, much stronger, yet confusingly fickle. His liquid movements were slowing down, as though he was too distracted to concentrate on what he was supposed to be doing (which was true). With one hand, he touched his Fina friends warm cheek, leaning in ever so slowly with half lidded eyes to taste those lips again...All the while thinking to himself what the hell was going on.
Serphius watched Ashlei fondle the top of her boots, and raised a dark eyebrow. They must be uncomfortable for her, he mused. That skirt must be hellish too...Oh but that skirt! He shifted from foot to foot, a whisper of a smile gracing his features. It was quickly wiped away, however, when she mentioned Gaara was here. His face fell with his heart. "Gaara?"
He hadn't even come over to say hello...Did he hate him too? Did he find out that he like Cove? Did Gaara like Cove too? Perhaps Alexys had been talking to him, dripping poison in his ear? Serphius took a deep breath, dismissing the car crash of thought that was going on in his head. No. Gaara wasn't like that...was he? No, no, he probably just hadn't seen him...
When Ashlei spoke again, Sephy looked up sharply, surprised. "H-Handswhat?" he repeated fidgeting again. Something in her voice and the way she was looking at him now made him feel suddenly very uncomfortable. His voice went a half octave higher, "W-Why are you talking like th-that? Ash...?"

Ash's smile grew, and she walked closer to him. Whoever had made the potion they had slipped in there, was a professional...they knew what they were doing. It was as if the dilution of the water had done absolutely nothing. She could feel her grip on herself loosen, and her conciouse slowly fade. The warm feeling enveloping her, comforting her. Her long slender fingers seemed about to stretch out and touch the cuff of his jacket but they quickley clasped and she yanked her hand back to her side. A breif moment as her fight gained a small bit of ground, eyes were wide as if she were scared of herself. Whatever it was, was bring up emotions she thought she had pushed down. Then as if someone had folded her in a warm duvet she sunk back down into the sensation and she bit the corner of her lower lip slightly.
A look of hunger in her eyes as she leaned in to the younger boy, for indeed he was younger by a year, and a smile that could be as seductive a smirk as an innocent girl like Ash could muster she whispered into his ear. "Because I want you..." She did not touch him, it was nearly engraved into her mind from previous occasions that you could not reach out to Serphius unless he had started the reach, otherwise he panicked like a frightened horse and would shy away.
Gaara faltered slightly, almost pulling away but then his lips met the other boys for a second time and he simply sank in. What was he honestly worried about? It wasn't as if he had someone waiting for him, but...he thought about how close Sephy and Lexi were. Th small asian boy felt a small arrow of fear as he thought of how he may be hurting their relationship but his thoughts seemed seperate from the will of his body. His arms had crept up to wrap themselves loosely around Lexi's neck and help pull himself up into his lips. An elbow found its way into Gaara's ribs and the smaller boy broke the embrace with a gasp, reminded of the fact that others were dancing around them.
To his releif his body hadn't stopped moving to the music and instead his slender hips were ever so slightly bumping against Lexi's.

Alexys groaned into the kiss. Damn, the friction was killing him, with Gaara pressed up against him, the tightness of his own jeans and the strength of the potion all working against him. It was like a heaven-hell hybrid - unbearable heat, and immense pleasure pummeling him. More frustration came when Gaara pulled away with an adorable gasp. Lexi hadn't seen the elbow to his ribs, but he didn't care why they had stopped, but just the fact that they had stopped. "...Have to get out," he muttered to the space near Gaara's ear, struggling to be heard over the music, "We need..to get away from here..." He took Gaara's hand, and pulled on it slightly, not wanting to hurt the delicate looking boy more than he already might have. Claustrophobia pressed in on all sides with the crowd, and his breath was catching in his throat. He wanted to find somewhere else for them to be together - evidently the dance floor was not the best place to do so!
With each step Ashlei took forward, Serphius shuffled backwards, shrinking away from her. He jumped when he backed into the drinks table, arm jerking and sending a half empty cup skittering away, spilling it's pinkish contents everywhere. What had gotten into her?! Coal black eyes widened in surprise and uncertainty - he knew something was very wrong, he'd caught that fleeting scared look from her. "Ash...Ahslei, don't!" he whimpered, hands up in front of him to keep her at a distance, or at least try, "N-n-no, wait, st-stop..." And then it clicked: the punch! Dammit, she'd been right after all! Sephy cursed every last prankster in the school venomously. He was shaking, cheeks a striking rose red, unable to meet his new pursuer's eye. Oh no, what could he do? She was his friend, that was all right now - he couldn't let this happen!

Post by Cove Bentley on Mar 25, 2007 15:16:41 GMT -5
Cove felt like he'd been dropped from a 50 story building, really. Sleep didn't come easy these days, and it wasn't helping that he had been completely trashed last night and had went home with a friend, who had also been drunk. He'd woke up in her dorm, in her bed, and had been completely horrified. And what a coincidence, she was the girl walking beside him looking killer in a strapless pale pink dress that was actually metallic in color, shining brightly. It whispered softly as she walked in heels the same color, her dress barely brushing the toes of her shoes. A diamond necklace was at her throat, dangling to brush gently at her breasts, but not quite touching them. A matching bracelet was on her left wrist, and her hair was pulled back, leaving just a few hairs out to dangle around her face. Clips matching her necklace and bracelet held back parts of her hair, which fell in pretty waves halfway down her back. Very little make-up was needed, and it was just the basics, her colors not too dramatic tonight.
Cove was dressed in a pair of black dress pants, almost dragging the floor as they fell onto his shiny black dress shoes. A tight black long-sleeve dress shirt was on his top half, made of silk and looking very nice on him. A black jacket was over that, buttoned most of the way up. It was striped subtly, and it was tight enough that you could see his muscles as he moved. His sleeves on his jacket were rolled down, revealing white and gray stripes that reached a third of the way down his forearm. There was no jewelry besides his usual two lip rings and the piercing just above his lip on the left side. His hair was in its usual style - half in his face and half sticking up. It suited him, and as he looked over at his companion, he was preparing himself to face the very thing he had been trying to run away from. They stepped inside, and Cove immediately headed for the drink table as the girl walked and found a small table and sat down alone. She didn't have very many friends, but that wasn't very surprising. Alyssa Winthrop didn't strike many as a friendly type, but lately... Her eyes were a little red from crying, a thing that disgusted her to no end. Why, you ask? She would never tell...
Cove headed for the drink table, his eyes stuck on the ground he was walking on. He bumped into someone, and when he looked up as he mumbled an apology, he stopped dead. It was Ashlei Soudai -- trying to get at Serphius. He blinked a moment before carefully attempting to pull her back from Serphius. "Um, I'm sorry, but -- Ashlei, right? -- I believe that you should try that on someone else. Why..." His question trailed off as he looked at the punch and the look in her eyes. Love potion. He groaned and dug in his pocket. He had thought this might happen... He pulled out a vial -- it was a potion to eliminate the effects of the stuff -- and tipped a few drops into her mouth before waiting for the effects of the love potion to wear off as his own started to work. He'd had experience with this stuff before -- but the potion he had received from Aly. Lovely girl. He made sure to avoid Serphius's eyes. He wasn't quite ready for that yet...
Matt was a little nervous. He had made the reservation a few weeks ago, but he still wondered if things would go as he hoped. If not... He wasn't sure he would ever recover. He was dressed for the evening in a black dress shirt under a black pinstriped suit jacket left unbuttoned. Black dress pants adorned his legs, and a nice belt was around his waist. In place of his normal Converses were a pair of very nice black shoes, and he even wore black socks. The amazing thing was that all the blacks worked together instead of being different shades. He took a deep breath, making sure his wand was tucked into his jacket pocket inside. He then left his dorm, after checking his hair one last time, and left for the dance. He stepped into the hall, looking around, and stood against the wall, waiting for Emerald to get here. She hadn't wanted him to meet her at her dorm, so instead they had agreed to meet here. He wanted to see her so bad, and he especially couldn't wait until this evening...
Aimee was walking with her friend -- and roommate -- Faith Halliwell. The two girls had helped each other get ready for the night, each wanting to impress someone. Faith really hoped that Kai would be there. She missed him; they hadn't seen each other in forever. Aimee couldn't wait to see Alex, for obvious reasons. The two were talking and laughing together as they entered the hall, and they waved a cheerful greeting at Matt. Then they turned and saw Aly at a table, and Faith left to go keep her company. Faith was dressed in a dark purple dress that brushed her toes, which were in a pair of open-toed heels that matched the shade of her dress. It didn't dip very low, not revealing really any of her assets. Instead, there were no sleeves. Sheer fabric the same shade as the rest of her dress draped around her upper arms, on the front and back, but it didn't get in her way. A small arrangement of light purple flowers was on her left shoulder, and small hoops were in her ears. Her hair was pulled back, curls dangling free in the back. Her bangs on the right side were smoothed down and out of the way. A small silver tiara sat atop her head, a little crooked, but it was supposed to be the way. She was looking pretty cute tonight.
Aimee was dressed in a shorter dress than Faith. Her dress was a suntan color brushed mid-calf, the last four inches (from about her knee and below) were sheer. There were layers to the skirt half, and the upper half was a halter of sorts, dipping a little low but revealing nothing. The split between the sides of her dress between her breasts reached the midsection of her dress, which was pulled a little tighter, revealing a pattern of horizontal strips of fabric and such. She wore very high heels matching the color of the dress, adding gold bangles on her right wrist and a gold locket with a heart on it at her neck. Gold earrings with many different branches were in her ears that dangled down, clinking a bit if she moved her head fast. Her hair was down and the tresses were delicately curled so that instead of actual curls, it revealed a very relaxed wave look. She looked fantastic, and she decided to go join Faith after giving Matt a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek, whispering good luck in his ear. He grinned at her nervously, kissed her on the cheek before she ran off to sit on Aly's other side, immediately starting up a conversation with the two girls.
((www.barijay.com/dress/popuppics/284bg_suntan.jpg Aimee's dress, by the way. And if/when I bring in the others, it will be in my next post... xD))

Post by Elliott Laurier on Mar 25, 2007 20:35:47 GMT -5
What to wear...what to wear. An event should call for something formal, buut then there was the fact 'since when did Elliott Charles Laurier EVER wear formal at a formal event? Never.' The seventh year Fina paced the short distance between his bed and his dresser pondering quite fully what he should wear. His bare chest was ever so slightly toned in a healthy way, showing that he wasn't much into sports but that he wasn't totally underdeveloped. A pair of pinstripe boxers hung low on his waist, of which he kept hiking up every few steps. Damned things were too big and he refused to return them for the replacement white pair. TOO EFFING BAD. Even his little collection of lip rings lay in front of him, spread out on his gold blanketed bed. Grey eyes narrowed across the room, not many people had ever seen his actual eye color, but there it was. Elly needed to buy some new aqua colored contacts. His face was free of all eyeliner, and his hair wasn't styled making him look almost 'normal'.
That is when it did hit him. How to shock and awe the friends...not to be himself. A smile spread across his lips like wildfire and he gave an almost impish giggle as he ran back to his closet giddily. He grabbed a two tailed waistcoat, white dresshirt, and a pair of black trowsers. Pulling them all on rather fast, he managed to give them a few wrinkles. Looking at himself in the mirror he could see his natural handsome face, clean shaven, high cheek bones, slightly cleft chin and long black lashes. The grey eyes were a shock to see even for himself, along with the lack of eyeliner and bright coloured peircing. Elly smiled to himself through the mirror, seeing the slight space between his two front teeth but loving it. He wouldn't change it for the world because it made him what he was.
Elly didn't own a pair of dress shoes, so he strapped on his trusty black and white converse but laced them with black laces. Then he looked at the array of peircings, he would have to put one in, it looked funny to walk around with a hole in your lip. Grabbing the black one he prodded it through the flesh of his lip. He then managed to realize how late he actually was, and proceeded to run down the stairs, jumping down the flights that only had five staires to them. When he arrived at the doors, his cheeks were slightly flushed and he had a rather healthy glow. It was hard to tell that he had actually been through a Death Eater attack not too long ago. His fingers touched his side ever so slightly where the ribs were still bruised.
He was ready. Looking totally unlike himself, and actually still managing to look spectacularly shocking. Walking into the room he almost immediately zeroed in on a few mishaps. 1) People were mulling around like lovesick teens. (Obviously the punch was spiked, note to self: Don't drink it.) 2) What was Lexi and Gaara doing leaving the mosh pit of people looking completely up to something incrediably naughty. (Probably as a result of the punch. Oh dear. And his pretty little Gaara too.) But voices by the nearby punch table halted him in his long strided walk toward Lexi and Gaara, and he turned his head ever so slightly. A grin spread over his face and he turned to bascially pounce on them.
"Ash, Cove, Serphius!" He wrapped one arm around Cove's neck and the other arm around Ash's his smiling face pressing in between them as he pulled them close to him. He smiled to Serphius, wondering if he should give the other boy a hug...but the teen looked absolutely distressed and spooked like a scared animal so he decided against a sudden movement toward Serphius. Post by Ashlei Soudai on Mar 25, 2007 21:00:38 GMT -5
Gaara felt Lexi's hand wrap around his small slender fingered one and was tugged gently but forcefully from the gathering of withering bodies. Dark honey brown hair fell into his almond shaped eyes as they held a question as to what was happening but too lost in a rather pink fluffy cloud to care all that much. His lips still throbbed with his heart beat and the feeling of Lexi's against his own and he could almost still feel the other boys lip ring digging into the flesh of his lips. Gaara floated around through these thoughts and feelings as he was pulled behind Lexi. He managed to mutter a rather soft, "Where we going?" accompanied by a string of japanese words that didn't possibly make sense coming one after another. Mosting like an anxious rambling of radom words.
He leaped forward a few steps with his short legs to catch up to Lexi's long stride. Half dreamy eyes found a grouping of kids that sparked a little thought of recognition. "Oooh look its the boysies." he cooed and stopped for a moment like a five year old might when they see a dog across the street. Before his mind tugged him back toward the sole subject of the dashing young man beside him.
Ash edged a little closer, and could feel her heart hitting her ribcage. She just wanted to...touch him...her finger tips reached out again. They nearly glided the fabric of his shirt when she found another body between them. Slightly shocked and a little disoriented she looked up into the eyes of Cove. "Cove." she said with a little smile before a few drops from a vial in the other boys hand fell onto her tongue. The strong sour taste caused her to cough and make a strangled sound. She nearly stumbled backwards if it weren't for another force suddenly grabbing her around the neck and pulling her close to a warm body.
Now totally aware of herself, it was as if a cloud had suddenly arisen. As if everything were now clear as crystal, and a sudden feeling of shame washed over her. Despite the happy face that was thrust into hers, and the greeting she felt like vomiting. Oh god. She didn't...she would never...her brown eyes were as wide as saucers and they looked up at Serphius but immediately a feeling of shame came over her and she looked down at her feet. Suddenly a feeling overtook her, it was if she felt a sense of betrayal, that she herself had betrayed him. She had nearly just knocked down that little bit of progress where she could hold his hand without him flinching as if she were about to hurt him...no..she had just stomped all over that.
She turned her face into the shoulder that belonged to the Mr.Laurier. Tears falling down her cheeks ever so slowly as she found herself appalled at how she acted. Her face was nestled into the area between Elliots chest and arm, and she was glad that the young man had come up and thrown his arm around her and Cove. His body hid half her face, and her strawberry blonde curls fell forward to hide the other half.
He was surprised. Kai Soudai was surprised that he had been allowed to come to this dance. He was standing ever so slightly in a corner, most likely overlooked by everyone else. Blonde hair was longer then before, it nearly fell to his shoulders. It had been a few months since the attack of Lioano, and a week since he had woken from his coma. The last few days he had been striving to recover his sense of balance and be able to function properly in order to attend this. No one except his sister knew he was out of the hospital wing that night. His palor was slightly pale from the lack of sun that he usually got, and his eyes seemed slightly agreived. Kai hadn't much to wear, he had only a few minutes before the dance that he had been told he could go.
So he wore a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt with a white dress shirt over top. The buttons were undone, and a silver chain glinted from around his neck. He watched everyone fall for the spiked punch, dance and the basic havoc of teenage horomones that overpopulated the room, feeling a sort of detatchment. That had been until she had walked in. At first he couldn't move, he was paralysed by her. His eyes watching her as she walked in and sat with a friend, how the fabric of her dress moved around her frame. My god, she was beautiful. When he remembered to breath, and that he could move, he walked slowly toward her. Green eyes fixated on the back of her head, as he came up to stand directly behind her. His breath caught, and his hands reached out. One touched her neck and grazed down the soft skin to rest on her shoulder while the other hands fingers touched under her jaw.
With a gentle pull he turned her head to look at him, he was now kneeling slightly behind her chair, he drew level with her. As soon as his eyes caught her face a smile appeared on his so far somber looking face. "Faith." he said, the name sounding foreign and yet delicious on his tongue. To think, Kai hadn't said a word since he had woken up, until right then. He knew it was slightly fast, but he couldn't help it, his face turned up to hers and his lips pressed onto hers almost hungrily. In a last fleeting moment of sanity he tore himself from her and gave her a rather shy smile.

Post by Mirabelle Miette on Mar 26, 2007 11:49:17 GMT -5
{You know what I'm like. I tend to write my posts with several people in them without changing the colours, but follow this as best you can. xDD I couldn't be bothered to do all of the girl's posts at one time, plus, I wanted them to have a conversation so that you see a little more into Mirabelle's mind, which you don't get to that often. xD}
"Have you seen Emerald?" Mirabelle asked, with a look of awe on her face for a reason that her friend, Roxie, couldn't understand.
"Nope. Do you think she's not coming, or something?" Roxie replied, a question in her own words.
"No, that's not what I meant," Belle said, her words now a little irritated-sounding. She motioned with her hands up the corridor, and said, "I didn't mean, have you seen her. I meant have you seen her?"
Roxie shot her a funny look, but glanced up the corridor anyway, where Belle's hands were waving so impatiently. "OH." For there, a little way up, wandered Emerald herself, making her way slowly to the Hall of Baile. "Wow!" the younger Fina exclaimed to Mirabelle. "She looks different! Way more... what's the word I'm looking for? Way more..."
"... girly?" Belle cut in helpfully, nodding along with her friend as she said, "Yeah, definately!"
Emerald spun around, as she had heard the voices behind her, and she waved, calling back, "Hey! You guys look great!" They complimented her, too, especially on her sudden change of dress sense. Mirabelle had expected her bright friend to have come in some thing huge, bright and deamatic. Either that, or jeans. But no, this was nothing like she expected.
What Emerald wore was ladylike and pretty- and, of course, green. It was a satin, knee-length, strapless, emerald-green dress that flew out and in a circle when she twirled. There was a thick ribbon around the middle that was silver, and it tied at the back in a bow. The back that was at her side was also silver, as well as silver ballet-style pumps on her feet. Her blonde hair, forever green-streaked, was curled for the occasion, something that Emerald didn't do everyday, and it was up in a messy bun on the top of her head, held up by a glittery clip. A green head band finished off the whole look.
(Emerald's dress: www.prom-dresses.co.uk/wp-content/pimages/thumb-EmeraldIslePromDress.jpg)
It was strange for her friends to see her looking so... clean and well-dressed, you know? The other girls supposed that it was partly because, now, she had someone that she wanted to impress, whether she needed to or not.
Mirabelle was dressed in a sky blue dress that showed a lot more skin than she was used to showing. Her hair was down, just plain, and she wasn't wearing much make-up- but, then again, she hardly ever did. She clutched a bag in one hand and a shawl in the other. She had shoes on that were almost identical to Emerald's, but in blue. She didn't want to have to wear heels, as that would be uncomfortable, seen as she'd most likely be standing around alone, doing nothing, for a good portion of the night.
(Mirabelle's dress: www.promgirl.com/_cache/b3eaa3e39f5aa2325ae06e241cb05654.jpg)
Roxie's dress was strikingly different, as she had taken a break from her pastel colours to go dramatic black. There was band of silver-gem-studded ribbon around her middle, and her shoes were black stilettos. She carried no bag, as she had oh-so-kindly shoved all of her things into Mirabelle's bag. Her blonde hair was loose, and fell over her shoulders, straight and long. There was a sparkling heart clip on one side.
(Roxie's dress: images.quizilla.com/G/GR/GRE/GreenMaidenTwin/1131051584_ssesclassy.jpg)
As the girl's travelled down many hallways, Emerald was practically skipping, a grin never leaving her face. Mirabelle was lost in her thoughts, as usual. Roxie could hardly believe that Emerald could still manage to smile after everything that she had been through, and she promised to remember to thank Matt for that. "Look at you!" she said, smiling herself.
"What?" Emerald asked, suddenly a little more self-concious.
"Nothing. You just look really happy."
Emerald's grin grew a little more, but she blushed a little also. Was it that obvious how happy she was? If so, then was it also obvious that she was thinking about Mattie? "Thanks," she said, quietly. "You know."
Mirabelle had stayed silent the whole time, and Roxie nudged her. "We need to get you a boyfriend, Belle." Maybe it'll make you smile once in a while, she added silently, in her mind. "Yeah," Emerald agreed. "Or at least someone to like. Someone to impress?"
Belle looked sideways at them quickly, and then sped up her pace. "Maybe... well, maybe there is someone on my mind." She got incredulous stares after this statement, but she stayed silent. "And I'm just significantly more shy than you two, and don't broadcast my news all over the school!"
"You have news?" Roxie cut in hastily, eyes eager to find out if there was someone that her friend liked.
It was then that the Hall of Baile came fully into view, and Belle smiled cruelly, muttering, "Well, nevermind. We're here!" With a grumble from Roxie and Emerald, the three girls entered the ballroom, ready to have a fun-filled night with surprises around every corner.

Post by Alexys Prso on Mar 26, 2007 13:15:53 GMT -5
Alexys stopped quite suddenly. They were clear of the dance floor now, and he was remembering how to breathe again. His eyes were fixed on the group of people gathering by the drink table, his friends, smiling, talking, and in two cases crying and shaking, though it was more like he was looking through them, than at them. A brief moment, and his day dreaming spell was broken. He turned suddenly to face Gaara, kissing the hand he held in his own like it was the most precious thing he had ever touched. Lexi smiled warmly at his small love, and pulled him closer so they were nose to darling nose once again. "We can go anywhere in the world you want, Gaara," he whispered, "We could go to the moon together, for all I care. I just want...you. Just you....kocham was, mój piêkny, cudowny wielbiciel*... " And though Polish was hardly the most romantic language he could have said it in, he sealed his sweet statement with a sweeter kiss, deep, longer, more meaningful than before. Two very different boys, two very different languages and an altogether strange situation - no wonder people were looking.
Serphius had squeezed has eyes shut when Ashlei reached out for him again, clenching his jaw, and bowing his head to hide the tears that were sure to follow closely. Oh hell, he though, I'm going to be fucking raped over the drinks table by my hot girl friend, and all I can do is cry about it? His hands were fists now, his nails stinging as they dug into the delicate skin of his palms. The table was hurting dully too as it pressed into the back of his thighs.
SomeonepleasehelpmefortheloveofCHRIST!
Oh, hello Cove.
Serphius's eyes flew open, and he breathed out his saviour's name. He was trembling all over, and had relaxed about three hairs now Ash was better. With the sleeve of his jacket, he pushed away the saline than was streaking down his cheeks again. He was grateful that he hadn't been wearing any make-up, or he'd look even more of a state than he already did. Sephy felt sick to his stomach, and all he really wanted was a quiet place to sit down, and a stiff drink. But Cove was here, and Elliot had bounced over, and Ashlei was crying her little heart out. He felt like such an idiot that he had made her so upset. "I-I-I-I'm so suh-sorry, s-so sorry," he wailed, hands flitting from his mouth, to his brow, to his chest, to each other like he didn't know what to do with them, which was true. His bottom lip was shaking, and in the end, he just hid his face - tears and all - behind his hands as he was getting more and more prone to do these days, "I-I g-g-ave you the-the punch - I didn't know, I-I didn't know! Ah-Ah-Ashlei, I'm sorry!"
l'ooc//; Wooo - t'is of the much suckness....xD
*MIGHT mean "I love you, my beautiful, wonderful lover" - but I don't speak polish, so I don't actually know. xD

"Oh Jesus."
Alex had been halfway down to the ball when he realized just how cold it was. Ah, yes. The whole 'February' deal. He had also forgot his jacket. Oh, yes. That was very wise. Turning back, he ran back to the Lioano dormitories. When he got there, however, he found that he couldn't find the jacket at all. He scrabbled through all of his clothes, throwing most around the room or on the floor in a desperate attempt to find the bastard jacket. It wasn't in the wardrobe! Sighing loudly and running a hand through his hair, he turned around to see... a smart black suit jacket flung on his bed, near his pillows.
Oh, great. Now he was going mad- or very blind, that is.
Grabbing the jacket, he actually slipped it on, and headed out the door. He sighed with relief on finally getting out of the damn room. Having spent half his time in it today trying his best to look good for tonight (gasp), Alex was truly sick of the sight of the place. Bring on the ball! Lots of dancing, drinking and... Aimee. She'd be there, he was sure. She was going, wasn't she? Of course. She'd told him she was. Hadn't she? Shaking his head, Alexander decided that now was not the time to stand around worrying that he'd be alone. He'd cross that bridge when he got there, right?
As I said before, the Lioano male had tried his absolute best to look... handsome tonight. Girls try to look their best, and he did have a particularly beautiful girlfriend, so why shouldn't he? This was why he was seen, on the night of the ball, striding down the hallways with a white shirt tucked in. And a tie on. He even wore the jacket! What was wrong with him? Don't know. But love was what was right with him. Hm. Maybe that was what was making him act so... un-Alex-like?
Whatever it was, it was even making him rush- because, truthfully, he was late. And, if there was anybody that was there that he'd want to see... he'd want to turn up at a reasonable time, right?
Rummaging around in his pockets, he produced a bottle of water. Taking of the cap, he took a long drink. Perhaps it was his fast speed of walking, or perhaps it was the fact that he was going a bit blind, but whatever it was, it caused him to go around the corner and bash into someone, spilling the water all over the hallway. He looked shocked, and when the person turned around, he saw that it was a girl. She was around his age, wearing a satin, chocolate dress that reached the floor, and he hoped against hope that the water hadn't gone on it.
There was a long moment of silence, but then Aeryn Brady - the girl in question - broke it by saying, "Dude, that was close." She looked sideways at the stone floor, where the water had splattered when it missed her. It was a good job that she was excited for the ball and in a good mood, or else Alexander would probably have been screamed at for almost throwing the liquid all over her. "I am so sorry," he then said, causing her to smile and say that it was alright. He put the bottle back in his pocket with the top screwed tightly on, and then began walking again. Aeryn walked alongside him.
"Am I allowed the name of my near dress-wrecker?" she asked playfully, her red hair swishing in it's high ponytail. She flicked a few strands of hair from her dark eyes, and waited patiently.
"My name is Alexander Aindrea," the male replied. "And again; I apologise for nearly ruining your beautiful dress." He smiled sheepishly. "I've been clumsy and jittery all night." As he said this, he thought back to his room, and all the clothes and objects that were now slung onto the floor. Great. He'd just have to hope that his carelessness and clumsiness hadn't broken anything. He could clearly see his wand, now, on the bedside table, about to- oh crap. He'd forgotten his wand. Well, there was really nothing that he could do about it now.
"It's fine," she said. "You didn't ruin anything. My name is Aeryn. Aeryn Brady." And, with that, they were met with the sight of the Hall of Baile, and entered after a small group of girls. Alex paused in the doorway, looking around. He couldn't see Aimee. Was she here?

His name was spoken as Ashlei turned and saw him in her path. Then she was getting over the effects, but before Cove could do much more than slip the vial back into his pocket, an arm was wrapped around his shoulders and a voice called out his name, along with Ash's and Serphius's. The arm pulled him closer, and he tilted his head back a bit and turned it to catch sight of a very 'normal'-looking Elly. His eyes widened a little, seeing no sign of make-up and no blue eyes. Plus, his hair was different, too, and he was dressed up for the most part. He took in his appearance quickly, a small smile appearing at the sight of his shoes. It looked very nice on him, then Ash was crying into Elly's chest and Serphius was upset, stuttering apologies, and sobbing.
He finally managed to breath and said lightly,"Well, if it isn't the lovely Elly looking delightful in such a fantastic ensemble!" He grinned at his friend before turning his attention to Serphius first, seeing as Ash was currently crying into Elly's chest. In a soft, gentle voice, Cove said,"Serphius, it's okay. How were you supposed to know? Whoever did this probably just wanted to see all the problems it would start. It's a prank, and you both were a victim. Don't worry about it. That goes for you too, Ash. It wasn't either of your faults, okay? It was whoever decided it would be funny to slip some love potion into the punch. So why don't we dry our tears and try and forget this little incident, or at least put it aside so we may have fun?"
He smiled at everyone, trying to lighten up the mood. He didn't try to reach out to Serphius; he knew that would probably only upset him more, maybe even frighten him. The entire time, he was very much aware of the pleasantly warm body behind him, and he tried to push any thoughts of the tennis court out of his mind, at least for the night. After all, Elly didn't want to ruin their friendship, and he didn't want to lose his dear friend, so it was best to put it aside for now. Those were thoughts for another time and another place...
Faith felt a presence behind her, and then fingers were gently brushing along her neck to rest on her shoulder. On the other hand of the person, fingers caressed under her jaw. Her breath caught, and her eyes widened slightly, all conversation and thought forgotten. Could it really be? Her head was turned to meet green eyes, and blonde hair that needed to be cut. She gasped, her eyes brimming with tears. Then he smiled, and she felt herself smiling, for the first time the smile reaching her eyes. He spoke her name, and she breahted,"Kai!" Then his lips were on hers, a slight hunger in them, and she returned the favor. When he pulled away to smile at her in that shy way of his, she threw her arms around his neck. "Oh, Kai, whenever did you wake up? I was so worried!" Her eyes closed, and she felt a few tears leak out. Then she pulled back, blinking them out of her eyes so she could press her lips softly to his, wanting to enjoy this moment as much and as long as she could. He had come back to her!
Matt had been watching the entrance, and suddenly he found himself speechless. Emerald had walked in, looking completely and utterly gorgeous in a green dress that reached her knees. Oh, and it was strapless. Her hair was fixed, too, and she looked amazing. He moved like a ghost, barely noticing anything else. It was as if time had slowed, and the moment she had gotten inside the door, he was at her side. He grinned, picked her up, and spun her around before setting her down and pulling her into his arms. "You look amazing, Emerald..." He then pulled back and pressed his lips to hers in a soft, sweet kiss, lingering for a time before pulling away, kissing her forehead, and smiling at her. Then he turned and blinked.
"Oh, hello, Mirabelle. Roxie. Um..." He blushed a little. He had completely not even seen them. "I'm sorry. I, uh, didn't really see you there..." He looked down for a moment before looking at Emerald, a small grin curving his lips and showing his white teeth. Then he looked back at them and said,"Mind if I steal her away? I believe it's time to make all the boys jealous with my completely drop-dead gorgeous girlfriend..." He smiled and looked at Emerald. "So, my lady, what shall it be? Drinks or dancing? Though I believe I heard something about a love potion in the drinks or something... So maybe we should skip that and go straight to the dancing..." He smiled, once again forgetting that anyone else existed, much less were around them. His arms were on her waist, and his eyes were only on her. He still couldn't believe she was his...
Aimee had been staring in amazement as Faith greeted Kai, and she had smiled, finding their reunion so sweet she almost started to cry. Aly had her mouth slightly parted, and a hand to her mouth in surprise and happiness for her friend. It was like those movies... She found her eyes watering and had to blink a lot to stop the tears from coming. Then Aimee looked up at the door, and her eyes fell on Alex. A smile spread across her face and her eyes lit up. "Aly, I'll be back shortly... I just found my boyfriend, and I'm going to get him on that dance floor if it's the last thing I do!" Aly couldn't help but smile, and Aimee got to her feet, running fast for a girl in extremely high heels. Aly raised an eyebrow. Well, that was most certainly a talent.
Aimee ran, and she didn't even stop as she got close to Alex. She finally stopped once she threw her arms around his neck, saying,"Alex!" She buried her head in his shoulder, holding onto him tightly. God, she loved him. Then she pulled back, smiling up into his eyes before she said,"Took you long enough. But I'm glad you're here." She then stood up on tiptoe (though she didn't need to much because of her added height) and brushed her lips softly across his. She deepened the kiss a little, lingering for a time, before pulling away. Then, remembering, she peppered him with a few butterfly kisses, grinning at him after she had finished. She knew how much it drove him crazy, and that was what she was going for.
Adam had no idea what he was doing here. He was dressed pretty simply. Black dress pants, black dress shoes, and a t-shirt under a forest green sweater with faded designs. Over all that was a buttoned black jacket, the collar not buttoned and sticking out on the sides. His hair was black, for the moment. He was going to be dying it soon to its original brown color, and cutting it a little. It would be interesting, but it was time to ditch the "bad boy" image, especially since he was a father. He looked at his friend, Cal, beside him and smiled. Cal was dressed up tonight. He was wearing a white dress shirt with a black jacket over it that was very nice, the sleeves buttoned up. The white flared out of it. The front was left unbuttoned, showing the white, and black pants and shoes finished off the ensemble. His hair was cropped shorter than usual, not quite reaching his eyebrows.
On Adam's other side was Ana, looking very nice in a deep crimson dress. The top half wrapped around her neck in a loop of black with silver stones on it. Once it reached her collarbone, the fabric covered it, dipping into a 'v' before coming together with the silver-beaded black fabric. Then it opened at the base of the 'v', revealing creamy skin to about an inch above her belly button where it joined with the remainder of the dress, which flared out and reached to her knees. She wore a pair of heels to match the dress, no jewelry to be found. Her hair was worn in waves, reaching to her shoulders and spilling down her back and front. They walked in and looked at each other, trying to decide where to go.
Ana spotted a table of fellow Intermise, and she slipped over to sit with them. Cal walked over to visit with Mirabelle, walking over to her and pulling out a red rose, stepping in front of her and offering her the rose with a small smile. "Hey." It was simple, but short and sweet. He then continued to say,"How have you been?" Adam, on the other hand, walked over to a table in the corner and sat down, his back to the wall. He sighed, then leaned his chair back against the wall, resting his head back against it and letting his eyes slide closed for a few moments. He had been dragged here by Cal and Ana, who both seemed interested in either someone or just coming. He, on the other hand, had seen no reason to have to suffer along for the ride. But here he was, and his thoughts turned to his daughter. She would be sleeping now, her mother singing her to sleep with a lullaby. A small smile appeared before it fell, and his eyes slid open to watch everyone dancing and talking.
As he looked at himself in the mirror, truth be told, he felt like hell. His head still ached, but mostly he was just one big sore, stiff mess. Of course, the Death Eater attack had been not too long ago. He was still hurting, of course. Right now, though, he just wanted to get to the dance. He was running very late, but considering the facts, he thought he was doing pretty dang good. He was dressed a little more simply than most. He didn't usually walk around in extremely dressy clothes, so this was a little new to him. He was dressed in a simple pair of black pants, a white dress shirt, and black dress shoes with black socks. A black jacket was thrown on top of the whole ensemble, and his hair -- which had received a trim -- was finger-combed.
Okay, he was presentable. His wand was tucked into his pocket, and he took a deep breath. Time to get out there... He left his dorm, walking into the hallway. He had to go a little slower than he used to, mostly because he was still hurting pretty badly. Somehow, though, he finally made it to the dance, and he opened the door, slipping inside. He looked around, spotting Cove with his friends. He saw Aimee in Alex's arms, Aly sitting at a table with Faith, who had just been reunited with Kai. He then saw Matt with Emerald, but he couldn't find who he... Ah. There. He walked over to Mirabelle and Roxie and tapped them on the shoulder. "Long time no see..." His voice was a little hoarse from not being used. Besides that, Jonathan Halliwell looked alright on the outside. On the inside, he was still a mess... But hey, he'd just come out of a coma. He should be allowed to be a mess, right? Right...
((Okay, so I just HAD to bring Jon out of his coma. =D I couldn't wait anymore!!))

“I love this song!” Roxie exclaimed, the second the girls got in the door. She caught Mirabelle tightly by the hands, in a grip that the other girl would have almost no chance of getting out of in a hurry, and spun her around in a rather crazy-looking dance. Belle looked a little shocked, but she, too, recognized the song and got into the spirit of the dance, splitting a smile and bursting into laughter as Roxie almost tripped over her own feet, her heels causing her feet to almost have a mind of their own. And, it seemed, they wanted to trip her up, not dance at all. Emerald stood nearby, laughing also, and scanning the room lightly with her eyes for any signs of… well, you know.
She was only laughing at her happy friends for a second, though, as she was soon met by the sight of Matt- who she had been waiting to see all night. It had been a good job that he had been ready to pick her up, as she had flung herself into his arms anyway, laughing in a pleased way into his shoulder as he spun her around. “Thank you!” she said into his ear. “So do you!” She smiled into the sweet kiss he gave her, and then snuggled up to him after he gently kissed her forehead.
Turning around with Matt, Emerald was met with the sight of Mirabelle and Roxie watching them. Belle was smiling faintly and Roxie was grinning stupidly. She giggled when Matt spoke, and said, “Hey, Matt.” Belle waved, and then Roxie spoke again, “That’s okay. You steal her away. You go make all those other lads jealous!” She smiled, and she and Mirabelle wandered away a little, off to the side, leaving the couple with a little more privacy that before. Emerald looked back at Matt when they’d left, and said, “Really? A love potion? Well, I agree with you. Let’s skip that, because, frankly, I can’t be any more in love with you than I am now.”
She kissed him lightly on the cheek, and said, “Though, I must admit, I’m not the best dancer, either. Our choices are somewhat limited, I suppose.” Taking his hand, she took a couple more steps away from the door, taking them further into the room. Where they would go, however, and what they would do here, she had no idea.
… You bet Aimee was here. Alex was surprised, a little, to see her rushing towards him at such a startling speed. He grinned, and caught her when she barrelled into him and threw her arms around his neck. “Why, hello, my beautiful lady!” When she moved away a little more, he said with a smile, “Who really is looking stunning tonight, might I add.” Then he listened to her speak about his, er… time-keeping, let’s say, and he replied, “I know. But can you blame me? You’ve seen my room. It’s hard enough to walk around in there, let alone find clothes. God forbid if I try and find a pair of socks.” He laughed.
She kissed him, and he responded right away, immensely glad to be rid of those butterfly kisses he had been getting for so long. Oops. Spoke too soon. There they were. Alex raised an eyebrow, staring straight at her. He shook his head and smiled, moving forward to attempt to get another proper kiss again. As he did so, there was a movement to his right, and he saw Aeryn wave before disappearing into the darkness of the room. His grey eyes watched her lonely figure for just a second, before his attention was back on his girlfriend- where it belonged.
Meanwhile, a little further across the room, Mirabelle was being dragged across the room by Roxie, hand in hand. Where were they going? To the punch table? But Matt had mentioned there being love potion in there, and Belle was not going to stand for that. Nope, she wasn’t drinking any, and if she could find out who was the one to make the stuff, she’d go mad. She pulled on Roxie’s hand a little, trying to distract her from getting a drink, but then someone tall stepped in front of her and she let go of her friend’s hand. Belle blinked, and frowned, looking up at the person in front of her, whom she didn‘t recognize right away due to the darkness and her annoyance of losing Roxie.
“Cal!” Her features changed, and she smiled, looking shocked as well as pleased. “Hey.” She took the rose in her right hand, her left gently brushing the soft petals. “For me?” Oh, well done, Head Girl. Shaking her head as a slight indication for him to ignore her pretty stupid question, she said, “Oh, I’m fine, but that doesn’t matter. How are you? I’m glad that you’re here.” She smiled. “I missed seeing you around.” She had visited him in the hospital several times after the first, but she didn’t know he had left. Or maybe she did? She didn’t know. Maybe it was just due to her exhaustion.
Roxie was, at that moment, behind Cal. She couldn’t see Mirabelle, and she was biting her lip. It had been alright when Emerald had left to have fun with her boyfriend, but now Belle was going to wander off with someone, too? It wasn’t fair. It was then that she was really wishing that Christina-Daniella hadn’t left. Then, at least she’d have someone to talk to, dance with, drink with and, basically, have some fun with. But no, Christina had left, too, and Roxie felt her mood instantly turning a little sourer just thinking about it.
"Long time no see..."
A hoarse voice behind her then spoke, and she felt a tap on her shoulder. Being met with the sight of Jon was even more shocking for Roxie than seeing Cal had been for Mirabelle. “Jon!” Roxie exclaimed in a similar fashion. “Are- are you better? Did… when did you get out of the hospital? When did you wake up? Why didn’t the nurses tell me?!” She looked briefly annoyed, but then she reached up and kissed him on the cheek, reluctant to hug him or anything of the kind in case she hurt him in anyway.
“Jon!” There was another call of the male’s name from behind them, and Belle flew past Cal and said to her Head Boy, patrolling-friend, “I’m so glad you’re out of hospital, and awake! Are you feeling better?” She shook her blonde head and glanced at Roxie, patting Jon so gently on the arm that she barely brushed his clothes. “Roxie and I were upset when we found out that you were hurt so badly, weren’t we?” Roxie responded with a, “Yeah, we really were.” She grinned also. “I’m so glad that you’re here.”
{BLEH. There we go, my postie. ><; Keep in mind that I am SIIICK. =(}

Elly looked rather surprised when the girl he was hanging off suddenly burst into tears at his chest. He awkwardly patted her shoulder with the hand of the arm that was wrapped around her neck. His grey eyes looked rather worried and almost panicky. He wasn't the best with girls, perhaps why he stuck mostly with guys. His tongue touched his lipring rather nervously before he head Cove and a smile broke over his face. "Of course! Always something out of the ordinary. You look quite fetching yourself Cove, and you too Serphius." he said, shooting a smile to the rather distressed boy. Oh how incrediably awkward and draining this was, he shifted his hand to pull back a bit of the girls hair and tuck it behind her ear.
"Come on now, cheer up." he tweaked her small nose with his thumb and forefinger with a giggle. Waiting for a reaction from her, perhaps a smile, anything to break the depressing atmosphere.
