"I'm just going for a walk." Kay mumbled, standing up from the armchair in the Fina Common Room.
"With your homework?" Her friend asked, raising a brow.
"Yeah, I need to concentrate, maybe the library will help." Kay replied, heading for the exit to the common room.
"Okay, see you later." Was the call she heard before hitting the halls.
But Kay wasn't going the right way for the library. It seemed she was going to Charms Corridor.
Kay couldn't believe she was doing this so early in the term. Kay was a smart girl, but this time she just didn't get the Charms homework. With a slight sigh she headed for the Professor's classroom, hoping her teacher would be there. If he wasn't then she would just have to ask her friends for help. She couldn't even remember what the homework was, and glancing at a piece of paper in her hand she realized she didn't even get the first sentence.
With a groan she stopped in front of the office. She knocked.
"Excuse me, Professor." She called, hoping she would get a reply. She was tired, and hoped it wouldn't take to long. Charms was one of her least favorite subjects, she wasn't even sure why she had taken it. But then she remembered she needed it for the job she wanted. Then again, she wasn't even sure she wanted to be an Auror any more. As she looked down the hallway she frowned. It was deserted. If someone caught her and the Professor wasn't in his office she was in trouble. Kay hardly ever got in trouble. She didn't want her Aunt and Uncle displeased.
One minute and she was going.
Kay looked at the paper, trying to see if she had missed anything out and she did indeed get it. But nothing dawned on her. She still didn't understand. She was annoyed, she had never been this in need of help before.
Fifty seconds.
With an irritated sigh she knocked again, this time not saying anything, would the Professor get impatient? Was he going to tell her she would never pass?
Thirty seconds.
Wait, that was stupid. A Professor wasn't aloud to say those things to a student anyway.
Was she being impatient? Was anyone in there? She still didn't say anything.
Twenty seconds.
She looked around, hoping someone would answer, her friends would be concerned if she asked for help.
Ten seconds.
