"Oh, come now. Just think of a way to keep warm. You have a wand, don't you?" Charlie said, pulling herself heavily into a sitting position. Light-hearted conversation. It was distracting. It was strange. It was almost nice. She leaned back a little so she could fit her hand into the pocket of her tight fitting jeans, and pulled out her wand, muttering 'lumos', so a gentle light softly illuminated both of them, "And true, when I think about it, shockingly enough, I don't think there's been one incident when you've been a true gentleman. Well, around me anyway..."

"Yes, I have a wand," he said, rolling his eyes. "I just don't happen to know where in the world it is right now." He moved a little closer, but the wand only succeeded in gently warming his hands. "Thank you, Charlie, this has managed to warm my finger." Well, at least the girl had come up with something to warm them a little. "I may have a jacket stuck in the hedge, but... I can't remember." He looked over at the hedge expectantly, as if waiting for it to spit out a jacket or coat.
"Hey!" he exclaimed indignantly at the last part of what Charlie said. "You aren't supposed to agree with me, you know! But still, I'm strangely proud to be right for once. even though... I shouldn't be." Oh, here we go... he was talking again. Or rather, babbling...

"Yeah. Saying that is like saying you're proud to be a bit of a jerk. Not exactly something to boast about, is it? Though I s'pose I'm hardly one to talk...So be grateful for a warm finger! I'm bloody freezing all over." Charlie chuckled softly, "Now, pray do tell how your coat ended up in the hedge? oh, that reminds me of one time I ended up getting stuck in a hedge, in fifth year. Not exactly what I'd call...fun, 'specially if you're wearing a skirt!...Not that you'd ever be wearing a skirt, I hope...."

He stared at her in amazement as she went on, then said, eyebrows raised, "Ahem, yes. It takes one to know one, after all." He rolled his eyes, and replied a little sheepishly. "Like I said... I don't remember. It was earlier in the night, so... God knows what I was doing in the hedge. And, you hope right. I don't wear skirts, Miss Sonata, and I am glad not to, thank you very much."
{BLEH.}

"Mm, yes, that's good to hear, that's good to hear," Charlie said, cracking a cheeky grin, before her expression quickly changed to that of exaggerated hurt and mock surprise, and she rushed, "And I do hope, young Sir, that you arn't implying that I'm a jerk! I'm offended. I'm not a jerk, I'm a bitch. There's a big difference, however subtle! It's a matter of class, really..."

Adam laughed, and replied, now just a single brow higher than the other, "Ahem. I'm not kidding when I say that, babe, if class is the only difference, it's not that significant." He winked, and leaned back comfortably again, silent. There really wasn't much more that he could say...
{Okay, now, dude: THIS post is short. xDDD}

"Mudblood," Charlie muttered darkly, and jabbed Adam with her finger. Of course, she didn't mean it in an offensive way. More just to tease him. She didn't reurn his wink, but just grinned slyly. Leaning forward, she rested her head in her hands, and her elbows on her legs, which were crossed, so she was more comfortable. Her whole mind was pleasantly blank for the ime being, though she knew it wouldn't remain so for long. Her whole body, on the other hand, felt like lead.

"How dare you, you naughty girl," he said wearily, head back on the bench, eyes closed. He opened one, though, as he said this, and lifted up a leg to rest his hand on it, surveying Charlie's new position as she moved. There was another silence, which he interrupted with a vague, "Wind's dropped. It's not so cold anymore."

"Oh, excuse me. You're not a filthy mudblood - you're 'Muggleborn'. I do beg your pardon..And I think it's still bloody freezing..." Charlie said, with a sigh, "And I'm pretty damn bored."
Charlie glanced over at the looming outline of the school. Here and there in the giant building, a few lights glowed through the windows. A shiver went up her spine, but passed as quickly as it had arrived. Beauxbatons was her home, her only place to go, aside from her dreadful Aunt's house. But her sactuary had been breached. It didn't feel like home anymore. She didn't feel safe there, and it was almost a physical pain she felt for it.
