"I will. You'll see me like this, and you'll think, 'hey, what a great guy!'. Then something will come along, maybe something to do with Aimee or Charlie or one of the other girls who could tell you that I will hurt you, and you'll wish you'd never met me. I know you will. It's bound to happen at some time or another," he said sadly, looking down at her next to him.
Adam looked straight back into her eyes, blue eyes meeting hers, and said quietly, "It's not me that has to make the decision now, Gabby. Do you want to take a chance?" He guessed she'd say yes, although he hoped she wouldn't. It wasn't that he didn't like her; no, not at all, she was fabulous. It was just... bad things seemed to happen to the people that he liked whenever he was around, and he didn't want anything bad to happen to this one.

"No, that won't happen. And even if Charlie or Aimee say something... They're just jealous. And anyway, I'm glad I met you, even if it's been raining for ten minutes and I'm quite wet." Gabby offered a weak smile, running a finger down his arm.
Gabby gazed into his eyes for a second, then a small smile came onto her lips. "What do you think?" That meant 'yes'. She smiled and laid her head on his shoulder, still keeping eye contact with him. God, he was gorgeous. Gabby didn't even care that her clothes were drenched - at least her top was black.[/color]
