Darien had just gotten everything unpacked, magically of course, and now he was finishing up things in his classroom. He had alread magicked the walls. It was a beautiful sight, so real, and it sounded and smelled real, too, if you were close enough. With a satisfied smile, he flicked his wand at the desk. A piece of parchment and a pen flew to him. This pen was one that never ran out of ink, and that would come in handy. He walked outside, shutting the door behind him, and turned to the door. He sealed the paper onto the wall and magicked the pen to float just beside it. It couldn't be taken more than two feet from the door, or else it would squirt ink in the face of the stealer and poof back. One of his favorite little spells to disuade stealing.
Students,
Hello. It's that time of year again, the time where you have to sign up for your classes. I will be your Care of Magical Creatures teacher for the term. Read this paper carefully, as it contains information that you will need in the days to come if you wish to pass my class.
Rules:
1. NO talking when I am talking. If you do so, you WILL lose your house points.
2. NO fighting in my class. If you wish to have your quarrels, keep them outside of my class unless you desire a few weekends in detention.
3. Being late for class is NOT acceptable. If you are late, at least have an entertaining excuse we can all laugh at. Points will be deducted for every student late.
4. Turn in your work on time. Late work will NOT be tolerated. I will not accept any late work. You will take a zero for it.
Classes:
Beginners - This class is for those of you who are not so familiar with magical creatures. This will be mostly book work, though there may be a few hands-on lessons. If you aren't comfortable with magical creatures, or you don't like them, this class is probably for you.
Grades: All grades
Intermediate - This class is for students who are familiar with magical creatures. This said, if you are not fully comfortable with them and aren't willing to risk injury, this class is for you. There will be half bookwork and half hands-on, but everything is done in a safer environment. There is more homework here than in the Beginners class, and you are expected to do more.
Grades: 3+
Advanced - The Advanced class is designed for students in the higher grades. They know most of the required spellwork that may be required here, and they are generally more capable of handling the stress, amount of homework, and dangers that accompany this class. This class is almost entirely hands-on, though there will be some bookwork required before we are able to do the hands-on lesson.
Grades: 6+
Extra Help - If you need extra help, here is where you need to sign up along with the class you are taking above. List the class you are taken, and if you need it, list Extra Help afterwards. (i.e. Level: Advanced/Extra Help) If you NEED help, list it that way. If you are willing to GIVE help, list it this way. (Level: Advanced - Willing to tutor) If we don't have enough tutors, or if you wish, I will tutor you to help you catch up.
Grades: All grades
Sincerely,
Professor Darien Edwards
