Charlie looked, and felt, absolutely drained. Her hair was slightly damp. She had been to the gym for a hard hour or so, and then went for a nice, long swim. Sloping into the Common Room, she rubbed her aching arms, and flopped into a seat by the fire. Ooh, never had one of those old chairs felt so comfortable as it did then. Dropping her bag by her feet, she stretched, and yawned. If she could have been bothered, she would have dragged her weary bones up to bed for a quick nap before dinner. But then again, the chair was just as good (plus, it involved less moving). Smiling quite contently to herself, Charlie folded her legs beneath her, and curled up like a cat. All that hard work...for what? Why did she even need to stay 'in shape'? It was stupid, really, that she should care what people thought of her, but she had always been a body-conscious person. Always wary of eyes upon her, strangers scrutinizing her, with their acid tongues, and bitter opinions. And then again, there was always the boys...Yes. The boys. That was one good reason...

"No! Squirell! Come back!" Astra shouted in a rampage as she ran down the stairs from the Girls Dormitories. In-front of her ran a tiny black cat with a pouffy tail. Astra gave a slight yelp when she nearly tripped down the stairs. "Rascal" she muttered. She wipped the hair from her face and jumped down the three remaining staires.
"You're dead cat!" she yelled. By now, practically the whole Common Room were staring at her with shocked faces. "Look away you nosey punks!" she shouted with her British accent. Yep, this gal was from London, England. Just like her sister.
Squirell ran around some shelves, around a table, behind a couple chair legs and then jumped onto a lap of a exhausted looking girl. He started purring and lay down on her lap, expecting a belly rub. The suck.
Astra sighed and plopped down in the seat by the girl. "Ugh, don't mind him" she said with a glare towards Squirell. He pretended like her didn't see her. "I swear, if it were just him on the planet he'd go crazy. No one to give him attention" she joked with a smirk. "Erm, if you're uncomfortable with him on your lap I could take him" Astra said, reached her arms out towards the cat.

Charlie had quite happily been on the edge of dozing off when out of no where a fast moving puff of fluffy blackness dropped into her lap. She jumped abut a foot in the air. Blinking in a tired, and confused manner, Charlie looked around. It took her a moment to register what the owner of the puff-ball was saying.
"Cat? Oh! 'S a cat. No, it quite alright," She said, prodding the tiny cat tentatively with a forefinger. It was purring away quite happily. She smirked. She liked cats, and apparently cats quite liked her aswell.
"Gave me a fright, horrible little thing," She said in a good natured mannered way. It was quite a cute little cat.

Astra smiled and pulled away, leaning against her seat. "Yes, the little devil tends to do that alot." she said with a small laugh. The cat by now was lying on her lap in a little ball, dozing off. "He loves company" she said as her eyes turned to the fire. "His names Squirell. Named him after that bushy tail of his and tiny body" she said, eyes darting back to the girl.
"My name, on the other hand, is Astra Rainstone. My sister's Beatrix Rainstone. Un-fortunatly she was sorted into Fina. Dunno why..." she said. She leaned her head on her arm, her hair falling to cover her arm. That week, she dyed her hair blue. Only under-neath though. It was nearly black but it looked blue. Some of the blue strands were hanging out now, showing off to the world.

Charlie laughed lightly, and gently stroked the small, furry cat that had fallen asleep in her lap. Oh, how she envied him at that moment.
"T'is a pleasure to meet you Astra - which is very pretty name by the way. My name's Charlie. Charlie Sonata. Not short for Charlotte, though. Just Charlie. My sister August is...somewhere. I dunno if she even goes to this school anymore. We sort of hate each other. You know, the sibling rivalry thing, but on a whole new level..." Once again, she laughed, "Do you get on with Beatrix?"

"Why thank you. The pleasure is all mine, Charlie" she replied with a smile. She ruffled her hair and sat back up in her seat. "Ah yes, sibling rivalry. Well, me and Beatrix have had it a couple times but we don't hate each-other. She's my sister and I love her. Naw, we're great friends. Whenever we go out to parties we do each-others hair, make-up and so on" she said, the good and bad memories coming back.
Astra looked down at her nails. They were painted black with gold stars on the corners. Her name meant 'star'. Astra loved stars. Both fake and real. Night-time was her favorite time of the day because she could watch the stars. Day was okay, good for joking around and hanging out. Nights were great for partying and of course, watching the stars. Haha.

"Groovy! Me and August...we've hated each other for as long as I can remember, really. See this scar?" Charlie traced a line along her jaw. It was faint, and you could only really see it if you were close, "I was...five? Six? Right in the face with a porcelain doll. After that, blood everywhere, I threw her down the stairs, and she broke her ankle - that was just in the beginning!" She shook her head, remember the memories, and all the years since.
"So, have you been at Beauxbaton's all your life?"

Astra's eyes widened. "Oh Charlie! That's terrible!" she said as she took a closer look at her scar. How could two, blood-related sisters do that to each-other? "How old is she now?" Astra asked as she rubbed her chin, thinking there was a scar there.
Astra did have some scars but none were from Beatrix...well...they weren't there on purpose. Mere accidents that were forgiven and forgotten. Astra sighed. Her little sister was dear to her. Yes, Beatrix was Astra's little sister even though Astra was born in January and Beatrix in September and they were both in the same grade. Astra lied and said she was 15 when she was really 16. She failed a grade but never told anyone. They'd think she was stupid. It wasn't her fault that she accidently made the Charms teacher catch fire and make her fail.

"Oh, jeez, let me try and remember this..." Charlie said, trying to mentally work it out in her head. Now, just how old was August? "Now, I think, I think, she's a year or two older than me, so she's seventeen, or maybe eighteen. And don't be so shocked. August was a nasty piece of work. She always hated me. I don't know why, either. I guess I was no better than her...Still arn't..."
Charlie sighed and shrugged. She hadn't seen August for a few months. She would be surprised if she'd just ditched school, and went her own way, or died or something. And to be honest, she didn't care, just as long as she didn't bother Charlie.

Astra shook her head in disbelief. "That's terrible..." she trailed off.
She looked back up at Charlie. "So, you have any other brothers or sisters I should be worried about?" she asked with a chuckle, trying to make a joke. She smiled and licked her lips. They'd been dry for quite a while now. Astra stood and walked ove to a mirror hanging on the wall. She pulled out a lip-gloss named: Toad's Foot and applied to to her lips. They started glistening. She smacked them up a few times and felt them becoming soft and moist once more. "Can't live without it" she said, holding it up. She smiled and put it back in her light blue robes pocket.

Charlie laughed again, and shook her head, "Oh no, thank fuck. My dad went and died before my parents could bring another demon child into the world," She said, quite casually despite what she was actually saying. She didn't care if it was disrespectful. To be honest, she blamed her parents for a blatantly crap life, and didn't really mind joking about what she'd been through, "You just got Beatrix?"

Astra shook her head. "Just me and her. But I do love big families. What I'd do to have a little brother" she said with a smile, drifting off. Her eyes had the reflection of the fire she was staring into. The fire illuminated the beauty of her face, a gaze of a random male on her. He quickly turned away, glancing at Charlie too.
Astra snapped back. "Huh? Oh, haha. I suppose I drifted off into my usual day-dreams" she said with a small laugh, slightly blushing.

Charlie smiled slightly, "Personally, I think family causes more trouble than it's worth. But that's just my oppinion..." She shrugged, "And daydreaming's fine. God knows I do it enough too!" Charlie ran a hand through her hair. It was drying off, but was still a little bit damp. It would be completely dry soon.
((Wrong account!))
