Name: My name is Ami Vitaly James.
Nickname: You can just call me Ami.
Blood: Yeah, I'm a pureblooe as far as I can tell. But really, it doesn't make any difference to me.
Gender: Last time I checked, I was definitely a male.
Pet Name: His name is Rolex.
Pet Race: He is a Queensland Blue Heeler, which most people have actually never heard of.
Pet Gender: Yeah, he's a male, like me.
Description: Just look at this picture; it explains it all better than I ever could.
Job Applying For: I'm applying for the Headmaster of Beauxbatons University.
Biography: Ami grew up in London, England. He had an older brother who was 7 years older than him and an older sister who was 3 years older than him, and his parents were both obsessed with their careers. His mother was a fashion designer, and his father was the CEO of a muggle company. His mother designed dresses for muggles and witches alike. Their businesses flourished, and Ami was often left alone at home with William and Elizabeth. Will took care of both of them, and Elizabeth cooked for them. None of them minded their parents' absence much, as they all got along well.
His parents often took vacations alone, leaving the kids at home, though they sometimes took family vacations once a year. For their anniversary, they were going to Paris, France. They were in a car accident, and they were killed on the spot. So Ami, at the age of 11, was an orphan. His brother was 18, so he took care of him and Elizabeth, who was 14, and they lived in their parents house together. His brother never dated anyone, for he didn't want them to take away his time with his siblings. Time moved on, and Will eventually found a girl he liked. He brought her home to meet Elizabeth and Ami, and the two girls hit it off right then. Will was 20, and Elizabeth was 16 at the time. Ami, at the age of 13, liked her well enough as well, but he was often more focused on school and music.
Their parents money allowed them a very comfortable lifestyle, both in the muggle and wizarding world. His girlfriend was a witch, also, one of pure blood, and they were engaged a year later. Elizabeth was 17 at the time, and the two girls worked together to plan her wedding. Elizabeth had gotten her mother's talent at designs, and she designed her wedding dress. They sent it to her mother's company, and they created it for her. A lot of money was needed to pay for it, but they had plenty. Besides, Elizabeth had gotten a generous amount for her work. When she turned 18, the wedding took place, putting Ami at 15. They went home, both of them with a sister-in-law, and her brother with a wife. Will's wife, Rachel, was right at home, and it was a peaceful time.
Soon, Ami was out of school and said his goodbyes to his family before leaving. He travelled for a while, exploring the world and finding many things that thrilled and hurt him in the process. However, nothing could keep him away from his home in England, and he eventually returned and bought his own house with money he had earned from odd jobs around the world. He considered his options for a job before eventually settling on teaching, as being a musician wasn't what he was looking for. At least not full-time. He wanted to make a difference in the next generation, and at the age of 21, he had laid out the next steps down the path of his life. So he packed his things and headed for France to track down Beauxbatons and present his case.
Age: I just turned 21, actually.
Birthday: May 24, if you must know.
Likes:
Playing guitar. In all honesty, it's my sanctuary.
Singing. There's just something about singing that lets you get all your emotions out. It's calming.
Reading. When it's quiet and I'm under a shady tree, it's nice to just kick back and take a look at someone else's life or learn something new.
Learning. I can never stop learning as long as I live. It's just not possible for me.
Friends. I love hanging out with my friends. I'm not biased or snobby; I'll hang out with students too if they give me a chance. I'm all about making them feel more comfortable.
Animals. I love them. Rolex and I go jogging every day and we play all the time. He's my best friend; I wouldn't trade him for the world.
My family. They are my world, really. Yes, I include my friends and Rolex in this category, but above all else I put my brother and sister.
Storms. They are a beautiful representation of the power of nature. Wild and free, it's just breathtaking to watch them and to just stand and let the rain pour over you.
The beach. One of the most amazing places on the planet. I love taking a walk on the beach, or even just standing on the shore with the waves washing over my ankles.
Dislikes:
Bullies. I hate them. Period. I know how it feels to be the victim, and I won't stand for it.
Peas. Disgusting. Who on earth ever thought of these things? They're terrible!
Labels. What's the point of labelling people? What does it accomplish? I think it serves absolutely no purpose, and it just hurts people or causes trouble in general.
Tardiness. In my opinion, if you are 30 minutes early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. And if you are late, you just shouldn't show up.
Spiders. I'm not afraid of them, but come on. Those things are freaky as crap! Especially when you look down and find them crawling on you.
Writer's block. Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE thing to have to go through. Especially when you have something that's tearing you up inside and you just need to get it out, but you can't because something's blocking it.
Needles. Let's just... not even go there.
Patronus: It's actually a snow leopard. Don't ask me why; I have no clue.
Boggart: I'm not entirely sure what it is exactly, but there are a lot of contenders I'm not going to go into.
Quidditch Team: Ireland.
Broomstick: I have a Firebolt, actually.
Favorite Food: Oh, man. I would probably have to say spaghetti.
Least Favorite Food: I'll eat pretty much anything, except for peas. I hate those things.
Favorite Drink: Non-alcoholic? Water, definitely. Alcoholic? Corona Light with lime; gotta watch my figure.
Favorite Class: Definitely Defense Against the Dark Arts!
Least Favorite Class: It was always Divination; never got it.
Favorite Color: Depends on my mood.
Least Favorite Color: Depends on my mood.
Personality: I'm a pretty easy-going guy, really. I love to make people feel comfortable around me, and making people laugh and smile gives me a sense of accomplishment. I'm a great listener, and if you need advice, I'll give it to you straight up. I try to be fair in any situation and look at both sides before choosing one, and I think I do a pretty good job of not jumping to conclusions and such. I have a lot more fears than anyone will ever know about, but I've learned how to keep them to myself and not let them get to me. You face your fears so often these days that letting them get the best of you isn't going to keep you alive; it will only get you killed. When it comes to my family, friends, fellow staff members, or students, I will do whatever is necessary to protect them and keep them safe.
I can get along with all types of people. I try not to judge people, and whatever I think, I keep to myself. I'm all about second chances; I think it's only fair. People make mistakes, and as long as they learn from them, they shouldn't be punished for the rest of their lives for it. Music is my passion and the thing that keeps me grounded. I keep my guitar within reach, and I've gotten better about not being so shy around others with it. I was in a band for a couple of years as a teen, but we all went our different ways after graduation. When it comes to love, I'm pretty new to it. I've always known it existed, and I've seen it in others, but I haven't been fortunate enough to experience it. It's something that I'm constantly reminded of, and it always creates this ache in my chest. More than anything, I'm afraid that I will be alone for the rest of my life; it terrifies me.
Physical Appearance: I'd say I'm of an average height; I dunno. Is 5'11" average? I have no idea what my weight is, but I'm always told I'm skinny, and people tend to guess around 160? Let's go with that, then. I'm definitely not muscular. I'd say I'm "cut" or "toned". Whatever it is, I'm in pretty good shape; I run a few miles daily. I don't really tan or burn much, so my skin is pretty natural, even though it looks like I'm tanned. My eyes are green, actually. I rather like them; they're pretty cool. People always say something like "dreamy" or something, but I just say I'm easily distracted and it looks like I'm lost. My hair is darker underneath, a medium to dark brown. But now it's blonde on top; I think it looks better. I mostly just wear t-shirts of various colors and designs and jeans, but sometimes I'll mix it up with a jacket or something. Generally, though, I keep it simple and comfortable; though I have to admit, I stay away from baggy clothing. It's too big for my taste.
Other: Aimee is addicted to new characters. xP
