In one of the more emptier shelves in the library, a few books had been cleared away, and perched on that shelf was a fawn colored falcon. Peircing eyes glanced down, eyes that could read newsprint from 1000's of miles up, watched a peroxide blond head very protectively. Gaara had yet again, dyed his beautiful locks, this time by accident. He sat cross legged on the floor, a pile of books beside him, his finger running down each dry page. His tongue darted out to lick his lips, as he turned the page and continued scanning the print. He was trying to catch up on his homework, that he had somehow neglected, and the dust rising from the books was beggining to make his nose tingle. Wings thumped against the bookcase, as Errabise was startled by Gaara sneezing. The bird clicked his sharp beak, and turned to start preening himself, where dust had fallen to coat his glossy feathers.
Gaara closed the book with a thwack, and put it into a pile of discards, and instead of grabbing another book just sat there. He wore no make up today, because he wasn't actually planning on parading around the school. In fact, he was for once wearing his uniform the right way, and with out the make up looked less like a girl and more like a young asian man. Soft jaw line was clenched, making it seem stronger and making his face look more masculine. The seventeen year old boy was a little stressed, he ran his slender fingers through his blond locks. Frowning he wished he hadn't been trying that new streaks spell, then they would still be their pretty multi-coloredness. Why couldn't he redye them? Well, with magic you had to wait a few weeks before you could perform a hair dying spell again, much like the muggle way.
With a shuffle of feathers, Errabise gliding down and perched on the boys shoulder, rubbing his beak through Gaara's hair as if preening it. With a groan, Gaara stood up, Errabise spreading his wings for a moment to keep his balance as his master stood. Gaara shifted, and picked up the pile of books, replacing them back on the shelf. He shuffled his way toward the brighter lit area of the library, and glanced out the window. The clouds were thick and grey, rain falling from them like a wall of liquid. Everyonce and while lightening would flash, and far off a dull rumble was heard. Gaara thanked god that he was in the warm castle, and that outsides little terror was outside. He was about to head toward the door, when he found that he really had nothing else to do. It wasn't a class day, so he had the afternoon free, and had absoloutly nothing to do. Shifting from foot to foot, he looked about the library, other students studying and getting homework done.
Finally Gaara decided he might as well go sit down somewhere before the librarian kicked him out, so the short slender boy made his way over to a chair that was pressed up against a window. Lowering himself into the comfy cushions, he turned back to looking out the window, Errabise had taken to perching on another bookcase nearby. Gaara sighed, and pressed the knuckles of his fist against the cool glass of the window, feeling the vibrations of the rain against his skin. What a grey day, and absoloutly nothing to do on his part.

Alexys had made a special effort that day. He was possibly even more dressed up that if he was going out for the night. He had changed his hair since the day of the argument. It was now rather sort compared to before, all mussed and spiky. Instead of his normal lip ring, he was wearing a small silver stud. He was clad in skin tight dark grey jeans, a white shirt and a black and red waistcoat. He was trying, he really was. Lexi didn't want to look like he was being affected by those harsh word Serphius had said; though the truth was they'd shot him down like an arrow through a bird.
A book in hand, his shiny black shoes tread softly on the floor of the library. His pale brown eyes had a rather lost, distant look, and he kept going to talk to the empty space beside him. It was hard, adjusting to the total abandonment, but he was doing okay. It hurt, it really did, but it could be worse.
He checked the book back in at the librarian's desk, and began the search to find the shelf to return it. Wandering rather aimlessly, he couldn't help but be a little startled by the sudden sneeze that came from behind one of the bookcases. Alexys looked a little confused for a moment, before he stuck his head round the corner to see who it was. It didn't dawn of him immediately who it was, but when he realized it was Gaara sitting in a chair by the window, a somewhat malicious smile curled round his full lips.
Wasn't he just looking fine today?
He could have shivered with pleasure. Dressed in full uniform, make-up free and apparently rather tense, Gaara didn't look very Gaara-like. Expression changing for sly to non-chalont and deviously handsome, Alexys stepped forward, and announced his presence by thumping the book down on a near-by table.
"Good afternoon, Gaara..." He said, with a sideways glance at the impressive bird perched on a bookcase. Lexi had a plan.

Almond shaped eyes had been staring quite blankly out the window, watching the rain fall and the clap of thunder making his skin rise into goosebumps on his neck and cheeks. He blinked, and licked his lips thoughtfully when a voice behind him and the smack of a book made him nearly leap out of his chair. Hands were now on the backing, and he looked as if he were about to vault over and hide behind the crimson upholstered furniture. A cheeky smile melted over his features after the shock slowly melted, and he laughed softly. "Lexi! Your out of the hospital wing? Welcome back into the world." He cooed, and settled himself back into his chair, short slender legs crossing so that he sat indian style. The cushion of the chair pressed comfortably into his back, as if he were lounging back into a cloud.
Eyes slowly drifted back to the window after making sure Lexi wasn't going to suddenly collapse. The death eater attacks had been a scare for all of them, Gaara had somehow missed the one on his own house. Yes, it was an interesting story. He was overlooked, for being small and slender he had fallen between the wall and his bed. If you looked closer a bruise was seen slightly on his right knuckle were his hand had been stuck between him and the bed frame. He had woken up rather stiff and with surprise when he got up and the dormitory was in such disorder. By the time he got downstairs and found out the gist of it, his whole body had gone into OMG! mode. Another clap of thunder, and he shifted slightly away from the window, an edgy look to his facial features. He really disliked thunder...and lightening, while it was fascinating it was also quite intimidating to the small asian.

"Thank you," Alexys replied with a polite smile. He grabbed the nearest chair, sitting down on it with a small sigh. He crossed his legs, and loosely crossed his arms, "I must admit, I'm so glad to get out..."
Well, he had been so glad to get out. Sometimes he felt himself yearning for the tranquil, disinfected sterile peace of the white walls and the pleasantness of the stern but cheery nurses. He glanced round the library, at the rows and rows of dusty old books, and the smothering old feel about it all. It was the wrong sort of quiet.
Of course, being in the Hospital Wing meant he didn't really know what had happened with the Fina house, or to be more exact what happened to Gaara. In his own little room, out of the way, the only thing he noticed was the nurses were a little more strung out than usual. Alexys smiled. He had only been in there for a few days, and he was picking up on little things like that. It was odd.
"So how have you been since we last met?" Lexi asked, shifting all attention to the curious short boy, practically balled up in a chair by the window. He noted how Gaara almost flinched every time there was the deep throaty rumble of thunder. Alexys could have clapped his hands in delight (strange boy that he was); was Gaara afraid of thunder and lightening? His smile grew. How adorable!
"Are you okay...?"

Gaara gave him a smile, and watched the outside sky wearily. Then his head turned back toward Lexi as the other boy asked two questions in a row, both percautiously close so that Gaara was forced to answer the later first. "I'm fine..." A roar of thunder that sounded so close, Gaara was sure it was just outside the window made the slender boy jump and fall over the arm of his chair. He got himself back up, brushing off his school robes before sitting rather heisitantly back into the chair. "Im just have a little phobia...is all." He added, blonde hair falling into his loli-shota gaze. "I woke up about a day ago between my bed and the wall, and found out that my house had been raided like yours." He said calmly, although a rather cheeky grin was on his face.
"Talk about waking up on the wrong side of the bed and perhaps on the wrong day. I should have just kept sleeping for once." He rubbed the back of his neck with his palm, then shuddered slightly as the thunder lioned the window near him. Dear god, that really was quite close and intimidating. He edged over further into his chair, as if cowering and brought his knees up to his chin and his short arms wrapped around his thin legs.
"Okay...I hate thunderstorms...they absoloutly terrify me." he finally admited, his hazel gaze not leaving the window as if he were afraid the thunder would pounce through with the lightening and rain and sweep the little asian boy away.

Ah, so he was scared of storms. Alexys smiled in what he hoped was a kind way, and nodded, but when Gaara mentioned that his room had been raided too, he was genuinely surprised.
"And you managed to be over looked by accidentally getting stuck behind your bed?" Alexys asked, raising his eyebrows, before he chuckled, "Well damn, some people just have all the luck!"
Lexi uncrossed his legs, and leaned forward, resting his elbows in his slender thighs. Poor Gaara, he though, cocking his head to the side a little as he observed the pocket sized guy, his light sable eyes focused. Personally, he wasn't affected at all by thunder and lightening. If anything, he quite liked it. They were loud, and exciting, even if he was seventeen now, not seven.
"I don't like storms either," he said slickly, the lie effortlessly sliding out, "Perhaps you shouldn't sit by the window? I find the best way to wait it out is with a friend, in a room with no windows, or at least with the curtains shut...Will you be okay, Gaara? Serphius doesn't like lightening either..."
Whoops, there he went. He'd been trying not to mention a certain Master de la Ravin, to avoid an awkward questions from anyone. Lexi rubbed his eyes wearily with his knuckles. He didn't want to think about him.

"I know exactly how Sephrius feels." Gaara grumbled, shooting himself off the chair and under a table with the next large crack of thunder. Errabise gave off a disgruntled sqwuak and resettled himself on the bookshelf. Gaara simply crouched under the table, hands pressed firmly over his ears as his chin rested on his knees. Back was against the stone wall, and he shuddered slightly as lightening lit up the dim light under the table then the thunderous ovation that fallowed it.
O.o.c// Despicable...but I felt obliged to type SOMETHING lol .
