"What are those numbers again?" Adeline asked, grinning. "No, I got it. 1, 2, 3. Yes, pretty mad." She tried following his instructions, but tripped slightly, stepping on Darien's feet and pushing up slightly. She balanced them, putting her head on his shoulder and groaning into it. She lifted her head and tried again, this time doing it right and saying, "Yay! I did it! And, hey, have I proved to you that I'm bad?"

He grinned, feeling her step on his feet and her head on his shoulder for a brief moment. When she asked if she had proved that she was a bad dancer, he grinned and said,"Actually, you proved just the opposite. You have potential. Don't give up yet." He grinned and kept dancing, looking down at her. This was the most fun he'd had all day.

She tipped her head to one side, close to his, saying, "Sure I do. Just make sure to be wearing extra padded shoes, you know, to prevent bruises, if you're going to be dancing with me!" Adeline grinned.

Darien laughed and said,"Nah. I don't believe they're needed..." He smiled and said,"So, Adeline, what do you normally do for fun?"

Adeline thought. "Well, like most of the teachers, I haven't been doing anything other than working and getting things organized, really, but I enjoy painting, singing, and reading." She paused, and added. "And dancing. Now." She smiled.

He grinned and said,"Painting, singing, and reading, huh? So you're just an all-around artsy person?" He smiled and said,"Yes, reading is a favorite pasttime of mine. Singing, I'm afraid, is not a strong point. I leave that to my twin... Painting was never my strong point either... I prefer to play the piano." He shrugged, and grinned at her last sentence. "That's good. That's very good..." He kept a tight and secure grip on her, though it was gentle, and dipped her before bringing her back up to the normal position, a mischievous grin on his face. "Oh yes, and dancing."

"I suppose I am," she said, smiling. "You play? I can't play an instrument." She laughed. "That's where my creativity streak comes to an end." Her sentence was ended with a slight squeal as he dipped her suddenly, and she giggled. She trusted him, with his reliable grip. She knew he wouldn't let drop her, let her fall to the floor. "I'm really getting to like dancing, actually."

He laughed and said,"Yeah, I play. That's about it, though, besides photography..." He grinned as she giggled and said,"That's good to hear..." He smiled down at her, head tilted slightly to the side as they danced.

"It is," Adeline said, in response to the last thing Darien said. "And it's thanks to you, as well." She sent him a sweet smile back. She had to admit, this was a fun turn to a planned out, boring day.

He smiled and said,"Well, that's very good to hear. I'll take that as a compliment, so thank you." He grinned at her and said,"I think the first lesson can be free, but after that, we might have to discuss payment plans..." He grinned at her, his eyes dancing with amusement. He was joking, of course, but it was fun to just go along with it for a bit.

"You should. You're pretty good," Adeline grinned. She let out a great, fake gasp, letting her hand slip from his shoulder, loosening the grip on her other hand, which was still clasped with his. "I'm not paying! Not with money!" She gave him a playful poke, one hand now on her hip.

He laughed and said,"Not with money?! Then with what?!" He pretended to be shocked and outraged, pulling off the serious look rather well. He was a decent actor. He still had that amused look in his eyes as he watched her, looking rather sassy at that point. It was hard for him not to burst out laughing...

Adeline, quite believing his outraged act, thought for a moment, before saying with a small gasp, "I just heard that out loud, and it... just, it didn't sound right." She had to let a little laugh escape as she said, "I mean, I won't pay you with anything!"
