"Do you think the teacher will mind us-"
-THUD-
"Ow, son of a-"
"Lareina! Shh, there's people working down here! Like I was saying, do you think the teacher will mind us popping into the lesson so late? I mean, we have just moved over here, so we have a good excuse, but what if they're really nasty? I mean, we could go and get Adeline. We have to see her anyway, and I'm sure she won't mind us going-"
"For the love a' God... SHUT YOUR GOB, CHARLOTTE."
These muffled voices of two females could be heard along the Ice Pass, just outside the Potions classroom, as well as a muffled thump a one of them slid to the floor, and a moody, "I told you to call me Emerald..."
"An' I told you to shut your mouth. Open the friggin' door..."
The door did open, and it revealed the most different pair of people you could ever wish to meet. One was tall, blond, and shivering, and the other was short, dark and rubbing her elbow with a pained look on her face.
Braeden turned his head to look at them, surprised at the noise made, and Emerald walked over to him quickly and started gabbing her apologies and excuses about their lateness. Lareina, on the other hand, walked briskly to the back of the classroom, where she sat at the desk in front of a gray-eyed lad and a dark-haired girl (Alex and Aimee). They seemed very close, and Lareina raised her eyebrows as they kissed briefly before returning to talking. That explained that, obviously.
She watched Emerald nod her head a few times, before walking away and sitting at a table near the front, near a dark-haired boy with green eyes. There was a desk with two girls on, one blond, the other the Head Girl. Another desk that was originally to the left of the first had been pushed against it length ways, so that another blond Fina (Christina) could sit next to the Head Girl. Sitting at the desk directly in front of one of the blonds (Roxie) was the dark-haired boy, and Emerald sat next to him and in front of the Head Girl.
Emerald smiled at the girls behind her, and said, "Hi. I'm Emerald. What're your names?"

He laughed and said,"Well, thank you..."
He looked at Roxie and grinned. "Maybe. But I suppose it would be better to say I hoped..." He smiled, reaching up to tug gently on a strand of her hair. He played with it for a minute, twirling it around his finger, before releasing it and letting his hand fall onto the back of his chair again.
He grinned at their joking, shaking his head lightly. "In that case, I'll pick you up at 7. Reservations are for 8, so we can take our time getting there and don't have to rush." He smiled.
A girl sat down beside him, and he looked at her. He didn't remember seeing her before, and she immediately turned around to talk to the girls. He looked back at Roxie, waiting for her answer.
She laughed, and at the last part, lightly slapped his arm. "Hey! Watch it, mister!" She grinned at him.
She laughed and said,"Yes, hide behind a tree..." Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she said,"Secluded, huh? Hmm..." She grinned, leaning over to kiss him again, this time lingering longer.
Natalie made her way through the hallway, managing not to slip in high heels. She walked to the door, slipping inside and smiling at the teacher. So she was late. Who cared? She was dressed in a cute little red dress, silk of course, that went down to just above her knees. Her high heels were red, and her purse was red leather with a silver heart in the middle on a belt-looking thing that wrapped around the purse, stitched to it.
She looked around, spotting Matt asleep in front of two girls and with two boys and another, younger girl. She rolled her eyes. He was always surrounded by girls. She tried to find a seat, eventually ending up sitting in front of Emerald. She neatly wrote her name on her book, writing down the groups in the notebook. She wasn't as talented as Jon or Belle with magic, but she didn't much care. She then stared off into space, not bothering introducing herself. She was waiting for this to be over with...

"It would. Because it just wouldn't be nice to imply that I was predictable, now would it?" Roxie said, grinning and watching his hand as Jon messed with a strand of her hair for a second. She loved t when he did things like that; it was like the thing with the flower at the waterfall. Things like that just made her feel... well, wanted, you know?
She patted the hand of his on the back of his chair. "That's good. I don't like being rushed." Roxie glanced at the girl who had just sat down, named Emerald, and said, "Hey. I'm Roxie." The other two girls did the same, and then Roxie added, "And this is Jon." Emerald smiled and said hi, writing her name on a book she had been given by Andrews.
--
"Oh, yeah!" Alexander laughed sarcastically. "Like I'm really gonna develop a mad crush on the Headmistress... I know better." He grinned. "I know you'd kick my ass, for a start..."
"Very..." he agreed, leaning in more, closer to Aimee, in order to kiss her better.

He laughed, looking to Emerald as they introduced themselves. "Hello. Pleasure to meet you." He then turned back to Roxie, a thoughtful smile curling his lips pleasantly.
He then leaned forward to softly press his lips to hers, his hand coming to gently cup her cheek in his hand. He didn't linger too long, leaving it short and oh-so-sweet. He then smiled at her, his hand dropping to the chair once more. No one else really mattered then except her. It was like everyone else had disappeared...
Aimee grinned and said,"Oh, yeah. I'd definitely kick your ass..." She laughed.
She didn't pull away for a bit, staying there. Her hand had come to rest behind his neck, her fingers idly playing with his hair.

Emerald smiled. "Right back at you." She noted the look on his face when he turned back to Roxie, that girl with the blond hair, and decided to busy herself and leave them alone. She wrote out the names herself, instead of using her wand to transfer them; at least it would give her something to do, right?
The other girls had no such manners, and both Christina and Mirabelle stared, open mouthed, as Jon kissed Roxie. Roxie herself looked a little surprised for a moment, before relaxing and enjoying the kiss with closed eyes. It was short, and she found herself regretfully kissing air slightly when he pulled away.
She looked over to her friends, a light blush coloring her usually pale cheeks. Mirabelle said, "Wow. You guys move fast." It was as if she thought kissing, in the middle of the classroom in full view, was totally unacceptable, and should be stopped immediately. Then, she noticed a couple in the back (Alex and Aimee yet again) kissing much more ferociously than the sweet, innocent kiss Jon and Roxie had just shared, and relaxed a little, lounging back in her chair.
"Hmm..." Observed Tina, scratching her chin thoughtfully. "You close your eyes when you snog, Roxie..." She leaned her head on one hand, propped above the table.
Roxie glared at her slightly, and replied with a sniff, "I prefer kiss, actually, but... whatever." She flipped her blond hair over her shoulder, and hesitantly asked, "Um... your point there being what, exactly?"
"Nothing in particular." Christina shrugged. "It's just that I prefer keeping my eyes open, to see the guy's exact reaction when I sn- kiss him, I mean." She shrugged once more, and Roxie shot her a funny look, still blushing, that quite clearly read, 'Dear God, please stop talking right now.'

Jon looked at the other two, as if just realizing they were still there. He smiled slightly, looking at Roxie's blush. He let them talk as he sat there, thinking. It seemed that it was just yesterday that he had been with his ex, given her everything, only to find it shoved in his face. He pushed the thought away, knowing Roxie could never do that to him. That smile was still in place as he looked at Belle and said,"So, um, do you think we'll have too much trouble from everyone this year?" Trying to start up a conversation that wasn't so... personal, and that all of them could take part in.
