Pet Description: Cove is a solid black cat. His eyes are an emerald green color, and he is medium sized. His tail is long and normal in thickness for a cat.
Biography: Aimee grew up with both of her parents. They were both wizards from rather old families, and their families had each been friends all their lives. Drake Luciano Reynolds came from a well known family whose roots went way back, and his family was wealthy and generous. Lena Effie Reynolds came from another old family, though this one had less money than Drake's. Her maiden name was Gontier, as her family was originally from Canada. So Aimee was raised in a wealthy home, with her parents teaching her about her history and responsibility as a witch.
When Aimee was ten, her mother died during childbirth. The baby was stillborn, and her father was heartbroken. He retreated into his study, and he rarely came out. Aimee was homeschooled by her grandparents and nannies, as her father didn't want her leaving the house. She was his first and only child, and he wasn't going to risk losing her. So her life went on normally, and after a few years, her father began to appear at the dinner table again. He helped in her schooling.
When she was 14, she expressed her desires to attend a school for magic to her father. He didn't want to send her, and he hesitated, telling her he didn't want her to leave him. She returned to her studies as normal, slightly defeated. However, her father left for business one day in early December. He kissed her goodbye and left, saying he would return in a day. He never returned. They found him dead by the docks, and the funeral was held shortly after. Aimee went to live with her grandparents, who willingly took her in.
She told her grandparents about her desire to attend a magic school, and they said they would enroll her that very day. Thus they sent a letter by the family owl to a school in France that day, and she was enrolled. As time creapt closer, she began to pack all that she would need. She gathered her things in a trunk, and her grandparents went out and bought her a cat. She named him Cove. When the time came, she left for the school, hoping her grandparents would still be waiting for her return during the holidays.
Personality: Aimee is pretty smart, and she is often found sitting alone reading or thinking. She has come out of her shell to some degree, and doesn't mind attention as much. She will gladly start a conversation with anyone she meets. Her mind never seems to shut off, and she is always thinking about things, which means she ends up dwelling on most of them. She will overthink things at times, and she will think the worst of the situation, when usually there is nothing to think bad of.
On the other hand, she doesn't hesitate to point out your mistakes and tell you how to fix them. She can be a great, loyal friend if you are able to win her trust. Though she seems rather as a loner, she is truly lonely, she's just not sure of how to make friends. Befriend her, and you'll be amazed at how different she can become. She can be rather sarcastic, though she keeps those comments to herself, and she has many retorts to things people say, but she rarely speaks them.
She truly can't be considered to have a darker personality or a lighter one. She lies somewhere in the middle, and occasionally is swayed to either side depending on circumstances. She knows that someday she will end up on a side, but which it is, she is unsure of. She tends to hide things from people pretty well. She doesn't normally speak of her past, and she is excellent at keeping secrets, especially her own.
She has pride, but she isn't arrogant. She knows when she is wrong, though she will rarely admit it. Challenges thrill her, and they present a chance to see how advanced her knowledge is. She tends to listen and observe more than she participates, and she learns more because of this. When she is deep in thought, her vision will become unfocused, and she will seem to be staring through something. She is not so quiet most of the time, but she is certainly quiet when she is lost in her thoughts, which is pretty often.
Appearance: Appearance: Aimee is 5'7" and weighs 124 pounds. She has a light tan that is genetic in her family. She has a small frame, and she stays in excellent shape. She has the flat stomach, and she is cut, not muscular. She has deep, chocolate eyes, and her hair is a very dark brown. It appears almost black in darker lighting. Her teeth are white and straight. Good teeth habits when she was younger paid off, as did the braces when she was younger. Her eyebrows are thinner than most, but not too thin. They have an arch to them as well. Her lips are bigger than most girls, but they fit her nicely. Her hair is long with relaxed curls that reaches to the middle of her back when it is dry.
She usually dresses in a cute, comfortable top and dark jeans on the weekends. She wears necklaces a lot, it just depends on her mood as to what kind she will wear. Her most common are: a silver locket with a picture of her parents in it, a silver key hanging from a simple silver chain, and a silver necklace with a simple ruby drop dangling from it. She has earrings to match the ruby drop, and she wears silver hoop earrings with the other necklaces. She also has bracelets she wears. She has a Blue Confidence Bracelet that stands for loyalty and sterling silver bracelet with 12 heart shaped links with swirl designs. She always wears a silver ring on her left ring finger that has a heart outline in place of a gem.
Other: Aimee is becoming less and less shy. She is in love with love, and has found herself head-over-heels in love with a boy she recently met at Beauxbatons, named Alex.
Role-Playing Sample: Sunlight streamed in the sky as the sun rose, starting a new day. The sky was painted with pinks, purples, yellows, oranges, reds, and blues. It was a glorious array of fine colors, a picture perfect moment. Would Aimee Reynolds have had the talent, she would have painted it gladly, just so she could have it to admire when her days were dark or gloomy. She stared out the window, eventually rolling out of bed. She walked over to her closet, grabbing her clothes. It was a Saturday, and she was just going to chill out, but first she was going to get some real clothes on besides these shorts and t-shirt.
She pulled on her jeans and slipped on her slightly tight t-shirt. It was white today, and her jeans were their normal dark blue. Her belt was black leather with silver rings for the buckle. She put in her silver hoops, slipped on her blue confidence bracelet, and put on her silver necklace with a key dangling from it. Only she understood what it stood for, and she intended to keep it that way. That is, unless she fell in love with some guy, by some miracle she doubted ever would happen. She shook her head at her thoughts. No, a girl like her was meant to keep her head in the books, and not in the clouds where it didn't belong.
She grabbed her latest book and headed for the door. She shut it behind her and left the dormitory, heading straight for the entrance door. Once there, she slipped outside, walking quickly to her usual tree. She smiled slightly and sat on the ground under it. She felt the dew soaking into her jeans, and she merely shifted slightly she she was sitting more on the large root. Surprisingly enough, the root was large enough that it made a comfortable flat seat for her. It was very convenient. She smiled absently as she opened her book and began to read.
It was an old classic. She was reading Eragon today. She enjoyed reading of the fantasy lands muggles cooked up. Some of it was real, but most of it was simply absurd. She still found it enjoyable, though, and it came in handy when she was talking to the muggles around town. She had to get groceries for her grandparents when she was back at home, so she had to go into town for them. They were getting to old for that kind of stuff, and she was still young. Besides, she didn't mind it, really. It was another chance to get fresh air and to think on her own.
She had just gotten to where Eragon and Saphira had met Murtagh. She knew what was coming, but she couldn't stop reading. In fact, she wouldn't stop reading. Afterall, reading was her escape. It was her way of living someone else's life instead of her own. She had adventure, knowledge, friendship, and romance within those pages. It was more than what she had now. She desperately wished for just someone to call her friend, but she was being foolish. She didn't have time for that, and no one would care about the new girl. She shoved the thought away.
She read through Brom's death, stopping once they had buried him and left. It was the end of a chapter, and it was the best place to stop. She set the book aside and leaned back against the tree, closing her eyes. Thoughts came to her easily, winding through her mind. She thought about the book, wondering how their lives must be within those pages. What was everyone feeling? What did everyone look like? She smiled at her own folly. There was no use in dwelling over book characters. They lived in the imagination and on the pages of the books only, never to escape into reality.
She sighed and sat up, grabbing her book. It was nearly lunch time. She headed up towards the school, slipping back inside. Other students were out enjoying the grounds, but she didn't mind. She wasn't stopping to chat. There was no need, afterall. She made her way back to her dormitory, dropping off her book on the table beside her bed. She ran a brush through her hair and sighed as she set it down. It had been a normal day for her. There was no adventure in her life, no excitement! As she headed down for lunch, she looked at the other students. And she definitely needed some excitement in her life...
