Name: Tobias Hayden
Nick-Name: His nanny used to call him Tobi, but all that will earn you is a stony look
Blood: Pureblood
Age: 17
Year: 7th

loud modern music, constant questions, very warm weather, cheap or scruffy clothes, 'minimalistic' decor, being ignored, being belittled and being bossed around.
Hobbies: Tobias's main hobby would have to be the piano. He has a natural flair for music, which has been encouraged with music lessons twice a week since he was three (he only gets them when he goes home for the holidays now that he goes to school). He enjoys it immensely, and takes pride in his talent. He often plays to relax after a hard day. Tobias also has a piano in his dorm room, as well as his bedroom, music room, and main hall at home.
Another favourite pass time of his is archery and hunting. He goes out often with his father through the vast amount of woodland and scrub on his family's estate.

Pet Description: ChouChou is your average Persian cat; a lazy, massive puffy ball of white fluff that just eats and sleeps and looks pretty on a chair. She doesn't particularly enjoy being petted, or played with, and she absolutely loathes being picked up, or washed.
Biography:
Tobias, to put it simply, is absolutely filthy rich. He is the eldest son of an aristocratic family, and more or less the sole heir to the family fortune. His father, Mattias Hayden, is a well known although somewhat unpopular Baron from Germany, and his mother Nina is the youngest daughter of a prosperous Polish business man. Together, along with Tobias's little sister Muriel, they live in a huge estate in the north of France.
The large house consists of four wings (two separate buildings in total), two perfectly manicured gardens in cluding a maze, a courtyard and most of the land for two miles each way around it. Most of the family's bedrooms are in the south wing. Mattias' study and the library take up most of the east wing. The entrance hall, the dining hall and the cavernous dance room are in the north, and the servants' living quarters make up the west. In the middle of the courtyard, which the buildings surround, there are four benches facing a large and ornamental pond with a fountain in the middle of it. Tobias and Muriel played often in and around the pond when they were little, much to their plump and stern Nanny, who had to change them every time they got wet so they didn't catch a cold. The gardens too were once a favourite place of their's to go frolic (Tobias frolicking? I know, it's hard for me to imagine too), and earned them just the same glares from Nanny and gardeners alike. Of course, Tobias and Muriel don't play together anymore. The four and a half year age difference is somewhat to blame, and also the fact that they are like chalk and cheese now they are older. The only thing he plays now is musical instruments, and Muriel rarely goes outside anymore.
Money, power, and influence is not all fun and games, though. The Hayden family have earned themselves plenty of enemies, both of the wizarding and muggle world. Security all around the giant manor house is surprisingly tight, even for a wealthy family. Unfortunately, it can never be tight enough...
The first attack that Tobias can remember happened in the winter when he was four. Late at night they came, when everyone (well, almost everyone - Mattias was in his study with a glass of brandy and a mountain of papers to deal with). The night was rent with the screaming sound of alarms being tripped, and glass, doors and furniture being reduced to a pile of smoking splinters. Eventually, before they could do any physical damage to the family, they were overwhelmed by guards, and everything was more or less back to normal by dawn break.
The second attack came almost a year later. This time it was surprisingly during the middle of the afternoon, and it was wizards too. Five year old Tobias, and six month old Muriel were asleep in their room when the door practically evaporated, and three dark clad men rushed into the nursery. Lucky for the children, that's as far as they got as the house guard was hot on their tails. Aside from a few nasty splinters, the youngster were fine. Since then, there have been no attacks, but the lingering affects of such an intrusion can still be felt. There's no such thing as 'relaxation' in the Hayden house hold anymore.
Tobias' relationship with his family is as good as can be expected, and fairly typical for an upper-class family. He isn't particularly close to any of them, except from his father to some extent. He rarely talks to his sister and mother, who spend most of their time together, doing whatever mother and daughters do together when they have an abundance of idle time.
Personality:
Considering his silver spoon upraising, Tobias isn't as bad as you might think he would be. True, true, he often does come across as a bit of a snob...but that's because he kinda is. It isn't anything to do with money, or status or anything - he simply just can't stand uncouth people, especially in young ladies (his mother was always very insistent that girls should behave in an impeccably pleasant and maidenly way, and he must admit, it had sort of rubbed off on him). Tobias himself is a very quiet boy, hard to read and occasionally apparently distant to others. He is brilliant in class, though he doesn't show off about it. In fact, he can be almost shy at times if he's put in the spotlight.
Neat, controlled, modest, refined, Tobias often feels like he sticks out somewhat among other Beauxbaton students - a bunch quite renown, apparently, for wild and lurid behavior. He goes to church every Sunday, tries not to curse if he can help it, studies a lot, and generally keeps himself to himself, but God help you if you really piss him off. Tobias is one of those people that never shout when they're angry, and he can nurse a grudge for quite a while. He can be scary as all hell when he's mad, which despite his normally subdued appearance is quite often.
Despite being a seventeen year old male, a time when most boys are nothing but testosterone filled sacks, Tobias doesn't seem to be led by his crotch. In fact, he doesn't have a particularly big interest in girls - definitely not boys. Of course, he likes them, but doesn't feel the need to go chase skirts on a Saturday night (though he does enjoy company every now and then, just not that sort of company). Quite the opposite, actually. He'd rather stay in his comfortable warm room, with some hot chocolate and his piano. He has a prudent, and almost frigid approach to relationships. To be honest, he hasn't even had a proper girlfriend yet, and plans to stay chaste until he gets married to a nice decent, comely girl, and finally settles down.
Appearance:
The only thing Tobias takes after his mother with is his hair, and a smattering of freckles. Straight, fine, and a lustrous shade of dark burnt orange-auburn, it comes to just above his shoulders in an uncomplicated style. Everything else, such as the steel grey of his eyes, the slight pallor of his skin and an ever so slightly aquiline nose all came from his father. And when we say "eyes", it really should just be "eye", as Tobias is only left with one. An eye patch, and a two scars is all that is left of his right eye, and it's something of a touchy subject for him. He won't tell anyone what happened, and he tries to hide it behind his long fringe to avoid funny looks and annoying questions.
As expected of someone who goes out hunting on a regular basis, Tobias is rather physically fit. He is slightly muscular, but not overly so. He is quite nimble on his feet, and an admirable runner. Unfortunately, he can't swim very well, or ride a bike as a matter of fact. Like many musicians, he has flexible and skillful hands, slightly calloused but well taken care of.
He dresses well, usually in slightly old fashioned but well made and expensive clothes. He doesn't own one pair of blue denim jeans, and doesn't wear trainers unless he's doing sport. If he's studying, playing music, or doing anything that requires much concentration, he prefers to tie his hair back loosely, but apart from that, it's usually down.
Other: He has two phobias: aviophobia (fear of flying) and lepidopterophobia (fear of butterflies/moths/etc)
