Name: Aeryn Bridget Brady
Nickname: Most people shorten Aeryn to ‘Ryn’ or ‘Rynnie’, but Aeryn doesn’t really care less if you shorten her name or not, so long as she‘s able to answer to whatever you call.
Blood: Muggleborn.
Age: Sixteen.
Year: Sixth.
Birthday: 10th January. Ryn’s astrological sign is Capricorn.
Gender: Definitely female, and, of course, proud to be.
Likes:
*Reading. Aeryn’s one of those girls who loves nothing more than to sit down and get lost in a fantasy world, just to keep her mind off of the real one.
* Writing. Unbeknownst to anybody but herself, Aeryn loves to write. She does it all the time, in her diary, as well as a little rough book that she writes random stories in.
* Movies- let’s just say… HIGHSCHOOL. MUSICAL. KICKS. YO. ASS.
* Singing along to musical movies and buying their soundtracks. Yes, it’s beyond the realm of total nerd, but you’ve got to admit that it’s damn fun. So long as no one catches you.
* Staying calm when everyone else is panicking. Hey, it beats screaming and running around in circles, right?
* Being so much smarter than you.
* Staying single. Who needs a guy, right? She can do fine on her own. She hopes.
*Playing guitar. Sure, she’s not the best at it, but improvising and making a noise is pretty fun. She can play a few of her favourite songs, but, yeah… she’s not good at playing the instrument.
Dislikes:
* Slimy jerks trying to get in her pants. Though that doesn’t happen often… she doesn’t want it to start, you know? Boyfriends suck, right?
* People who call her names because she’s a bit of a nerd. She doesn’t think she is, but… other people do.
* Cruelty to animals. I mean, no one likes this, but Aeryn hates it. She wants to work in the creatures department for the Ministry when she’s older, but the way she’s going… she’ll end up a Healer, like her parents want.
* Loudness. Just shut up, will you?
Patronus: It’s an owl.

Favourite Drink: The blue mix of those little bottles of Vodka Kick. Parents don’t know she’s had it, but her and her friend had four bottles at a sleepover once. It was lovely.

Biography:
Irish doctors Bridget and Thomas Brady, both Muggles, fell in love and got married, and Bridget soon got pregnant. The couple had absolutely no idea - of course - that the little girl that they’d have would have magic running through her veins.
Little baby Aeryn was born nine months later, with big, dark brown eyes and a red fuzz of hair on her tiny head. She grew up normally, went to nursery and then school, and everything was fine. Until the day she made the blackboard in her class explode, that is.
Ryn had as always had - and still has - a temper like hell, and she happened to have got into a very large argument with someone in her class. She was right at the back, behind the tables, and the person who she was having the argument with was right at the front, near the blackboard. Most of the other children were outside on the playground, so it was just them and one other kid that was hovering about trying not to get hit by anybody.
Anyway. Aeryn finally blew her top, and spun around and pointed at the board - which, if you couldn’t guess, was most likely that cause of the argument. They were only nine, after all. The blackboard exploded immediately, spraying bits of debris everywhere, as well as filling the room with white chalk dust. The children were stunned, and everything - though they all had no idea what really happened - got blamed on Ryn. She was sent home for that.
There hadn’t been any other traces of magic since that one, though, and everyone soon forgot about it, until two years had passed and Aeryn was eleven. That was when she received her letters from the schools. She received one from Hogwarts, of course, and only that school because of where she lived. They would have to move into London, so she could catch the train up to Scotland, where the school lay, and the family didn’t particularly want to do that.
They contacted the Ministry - Aeryn’s Muggle parents adapted to the fact that she was a witch very quickly and immediately set about finding her a good school to go to - and found out that no matter where you lived, you could go to any school that you wanted. There would be a way to transport you there.
Beauxbatons Academy looked like a good school, but that was in France. Bearing in mind that even if they stayed in Ireland, Aeryn could go there anyway, Bridget and Thomas decided to move to France. After all, why not? It surely had better weather than where they already lived, right? There would be a lot of preparations, though, and, for the meantime, Aeryn was sent to Hogwarts.
But, then Thomas’ mother died, and they had to stay a bit longer to look after his father. In the end, they stayed in Ireland until Aeryn was ready to go into sixth year. Thomas’ dad had died also, by that time, so they really had nothing to stay for, and so they moved to France so that Aeryn could go to Beauxbatons.
Personality:
Aeryn is quite a complicated person to understand, and even more so to become a true friend of hers. She’s not very trusting - she’s had her heart broken badly in the past - and she’s utterly cynical. She doubtful about anything nice someone says to her - I mean, if it’s big, not if they just say she looks nice or something - and is constantly worrying about the sincerity of people’s actions and if they’re just kidding her.
Oh, and yeah; she doesn’t date. No, seriously; you cannot find a more unromantic person than her. After she broke up with her first - and, apparently, last - boyfriend because of his cheating and conniving nature, she’s decided that guys are officially jerks. You can’t blame her though, really; all she’s done is made an opinion because of what she’s been through, and no guy’s happened to have come along to change her mind.
What’s a girl to do, eh?
This leads to another trait; Aeryn doesn’t particularly like to take risks, because, after all, there are stakes, and if something goes wrong, you could use everything. She really needs someone to come into her life and take her by the hand, take her to all the great places in the world and inspire her to take some crazy chances. Her friends always used to tell her that, and she’s roll her eyes and say in reply that as long as it wasn’t a guy, she wouldn’t mind. And then they’d sigh at her, and shake their heads.
So, instead of taking crazy risks and getting things done faster, Aeryn tends to take her life slow step by slow step. There’s no need to rush. She’s always be able to look after herself and, however much she tries to hide it, she finds herself feeling a sense of responsibility after everyone else. Like she cares; but she shouldn’t. Feelings aren’t good; they get in the way of other things, don’t they?
If you manage to claim Ryn as your friend, though, she’s a good one. She’ll stick up for you in the best and worst of times, against the best and worse of people, and God save your soul if you’re on the receiving end of Aeryn Brady’s rage. She doesn’t stop to think which spell will land you in Saint Mungo’s, she just picks up her wand and jinxes you all into next week. So it’s not so much of a good idea to get her very angry with you, as this is one girl that would stand her ground, and do it well.
Although her outside is often quite stony and emotionless - though this would have to be on a pretty bad day - she really does feel. She tries not to let it show, though, and this redhead never cries.
Physical Appearance:
Aeryn would be one to stand out in a crowd. Not because of her personality or voice, but because of her flaming, orange-red hair. She doesn’t dye it, as she got it from her father, and she doesn’t particularly like it, but that’s the hair she’s got. Apart from the colour, though, it’s alright, because it’s not unruly. It’s relatively straight, and all Ryn has to do to it is wash it and give it a brush now and again. Good; low maintenance.
In her opinion, she has quite a plain face. Full lips, a long, straight nose and dark brown eyes that are almost black in colour, which is about right. She’s no big deal to look at, really, but she is a bit prettier in truth than she thinks she is.
Aeryn dresses pretty simply, in just jeans, usually, and a collared top. She favours a leather jacket - ooh, risky - and has a couple of denim ones that she wears a lot. She doesn’t have as big a selection of shoes as most girls, just a pair of white trainers, black and pink converses and a pair of rarely-worn black wedges. Too uncomfortable, they’re only worn - if at all - in summer.
Other: None.
