It was warm and deliciously humid in Underground Paris that night. Early summer thunderstorms were still lingering after a day on rain and thunder, and the cobblestones were wet and slick beneath Asmodeus's feet. Still, surefooted and confident, he made his wandering way aimlessly through the delightful maze of tiny streets and back alleys, humming a cheerful little stanza under his breath. It was a nice night. Still, heavy and dark, the air warm and curiously fragrant. It made him happy, and put him in the mood for fun, or mischief.
Paris was unusually quite that evening. It was just past midnight on a Sunday, and there was no-one around, excluding the occasional drunken homeless squib, or deceptively beautiful whore that walked the streets, regardless of weather, time and day. Asmodeus smirked to himself. There he was, dressed up to the nines and with nowhere to go and no-one to go with. It was true that he was looking almost flashy that night. He was dress in a flattering sharp navy pinstripe suite, with a white shirt. The suit jacket and top few buttons of his shirt were open - he was enjoying the sensation of the thick air on his smooth warm skin.
Asmodeus looked a little different than usual. His blond hair, usually fairly short had been grown out a little, and now fell to roughly jaw length. It gave him more of a casual, inviting air to him. His eyes were the sweet blue they always were, but the way he walked, and the walk he talked seemed to have been toned down a notch - a little less strange, a little less invasive. It was hard work, but Asmodeus found that it paid off. People fell so much easier for the nice guy.

You might wonder what on earth Alyssa Winthrop was doing here, but that question was easily answered: she was lonely. Yep, make it a world record, but Aly was lonely. Aimee had a boyfriend she was with every night, and Faith had Kai to be with, and when she wasn't with him, her and Aimee were doing something. Cove was obviously busy, and a guy, and she didn't want to disrupt him. Not when he was happy with Elly now. So she really had nowhere to go and no one to turn to. Okay, there was Matt, but he had Emerald. There, now you see? Her friends had lovers, and she didn't. Frankly, it hurt now. She was tired of just meaningless sex, and she had learned the hard way that it couldn't fill the hole that love could, that a relationship could.
So here she was, dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans and a red top. The top was low-cut, the v coming down to reveal a little cleavage, but not too much. The sleeves were three-quarter, and otherwise it was pretty plain. Her hair fell in waves tonight, not even pinned or otherwise tamed. Her pants were looser than usual, but they were still rather tight, and a pair of black shoes were on her feet. They were heels, a pair of boots tonight after the rain. Silver bangles were on her right wrist, and a silver ring with a diamond heart outlined in rubies was on her right ring finger. There was no necklace tonight, instead a nice scarf wrapped around her neck, the shade a deep black. She also wore silver hoop earrings.
Her arms were currently crossed close to her body, as she was rather cold. She'd left her jacket in the dorm, having left in a big hurry. Now she was paying for her rush, and all she'd done was take a wall in Underground Paris. How lame was that? Very. But then her eyes fell on a male walking along too, headed her way, and she paused, eyes narrowed. He looked vaguely familiar, but she couldn't exactly place him. He was rather attractive, but she wasn't looking for anything like that tonight, or any night for a while. Instead, she was looking for company. She waited until he was closer before speaking. "Hey, you look familiar... Do I know you?" Her voice was light and soft, very feminine and even, you could say, fragile.

Asmodues had noticed the girl as soon as she had came into sight, with the soft click of her heeled boots on the cobblestones, and the slightest glint as her ring caught what little light there was. However, he didn not change his easy pace, but carried on humming his little tune as though he was still quite alone. Only when Asmo heard her voice did his step faulter. He looked up, surprised as though he'd only just noticed her. It was quite a convincing act.
"Oh, hey," he said with a stiff little wave. His eyes narrowed slightly - he didn't know her name already. He knew the face, but not the name. It irked him slightly, "I'm go to Beauxbatons - maybe you've seen me around there or something? Or out around here somewhere? I'm Asmodeus, by the way. Or Asmo. Yeah, just Asmo."
Asmodeus flash her a careless smile. She looked a little cold, and he wondered if he should perhaps offer her his jacket. Deciding against it, he shuffled his feet restlessly waiting for her reply, expecting her to introduce herself. She looked lovely in red...it had always been a favourite colour of his. Asmo didn't like the little black scarf though. It meant he couldn't see her neck, and he thought it didn't go perfectly with the dark blue denim of her jeans. Of course, this was all hidden behind his placid casual smile. After all, he didn't want to freak her out...
(Er, sorry about spelling. The checker isn't working for me. D:)
