Where were the dormitories, again?
So, her twin Mohana had lied to her upon giving directions to the common room after all, and Lila now found herself outside, on a dirt path that led over the grassy hills. Where did it lead? The girl still had her trunk with her - as the sisters had only just entered the school - and it was quite cool, but, what the heck? There was a path here, and it must lead to something, and Lila Saryu wanted to know what it was. Dragging her trunk, which was, thankfully, on wheels behind her, she started up the small hill up which the path led.
Lila shivered, and switched holding her trunk over to the other arm for both comfort and warmth. Her thick, puffy pink jacket kept her top half warm, under which she had a white jumper, and thick cream cords were covering her legs. Pink walking boots - which she had received from dear Asha for Christmas - adorned her feet, dry as there was no dew on the grass. It was quite a nice day, for Winter. Speeding up her pace a little, Lila reached the top of the hill, and looked over curiously and, if she could admit, a little excitedly. What was the first thing she'd see?
And then she gasped, because in front of her very eyes was a huge, crashing waterfall with a crystal clear pool beneath it. There was no noise, however, because the waterfal was... frozen. A sparkling arc of ice swept from the rocks above into the frozen pool below, and the sight took your breath away. Lila felt herself wondering if it was suddenly going to crack and the water would spill again. She didn't even know that this was possible; she'd never heard of a waterfall freezing before. Was it magic? Perhaps the teachers had done it. Whatever the cause, it was beautiful, and strangely eerie.
Eyes sparkling with happiness and sweet innocence, she advanced until she was a couple of feet away from the pool at the bottom, at which time she dropped her trunk on the grass and sat on it. Her imagination started to roll, and she imagined she was some sort of royal figure of old times, perhaps a princess or a daughter of an important figure. She was in her grounds, at the waterfall that she had gotten as a present, and the whole castle was hers. She imagined that she was beautiful, that she was wearing a wonderful, medieval-style dress. and lifting one hand, she pulled her hair out of it's bun and felt the shiny, dark, curled locks fall around her shoulders.
Nothing else mattered apart from her thoughts and imagination- and, childish as it sounds, it was true. When Lila went off into her own little world, she could do anything, she could be anyone. She loved these games, even if they were a little immature for her age. Even if, sooner or later she'd have to come back to earth, she'd have to deal with the real world and the fact that things weren't as good there as they were in her imagination and her game. But, for now, she could be by herself, wishing that evil didn't exsist and the land was pure.
Now. She needed a prince charming.
