After changing into her muggle clothing, a bright green short spaghetti strap tank-top with a longer bright pink spaghetti strap tank-top sat under-neath. Her black bermuda shorts reacher her knees and under the shorts were white leggings with black polka-dots that reacher her middle calves. On her feet lay a pair of black and white high converse, Beatrix had her hair down. It was dry and flat by now.
Beatrix looked at her make-up once more, black eyeliner, pink and green eyeshadow and black mascara. Then she headed out into the courtyard. She looked around for a sign of Matt but she didn't see him anywhere. She sighed and whistled. Striker flew over to her and landed on her arm. Beatrix purred to him and then sat down on a stone bench, crossing her right leg over her left.
She let out a small yawn and looked at her lovely bird. He didn't like strangers. He loved Beatrix and if her saw someone attacking her he'd attack the attacker. Although he probably would do much damage but he was quite a large bird. Much big than a normal owl. He was 2/3 of an eagle. That was quite large for an owl.

Matt had left upstairs with Duchess, and he had left her in his room when he had went to take a shower. He had came back upstairs to his dorm with a towel wrapped around his waist, holding it tightly with one hand while he dried his hair with the other. He shut his door behind him and dried off, pulling on boxers. He then walked over to his dresser and picked out a pair of dark jeans that were faded in places. He then pulled on a 3/4-sleeve light blue shirt and threw on the brown leather jacket over it, rolling the sleeves up to above his elbows.
He then brushed his hair into place, seeing as it was dry, and put it on his table before he looked at Duchess. He had refilled her water and food bowl, and she was currently eating. So he sat down and took out his wand, conjuring a bowl of macaroni and cheese. He ate it and brushed his teeth, feeling better. At least he wasn't hungry now. He opened the door and Duchess went out, and he shut it behind them.
They walked down to the courtyard together, looking around at all the sights. He grinned as she chased after the squirrels, loving to watch her play. They walked on, and he began to look out ffor Beatrix. He hadn't seen her yet, so he enjoyed the view instead. He had left his Corona in his dorm room this time, so maybe that would take some of the apparent awkwardness out of their conversations. Obviously she didn't approve of it. He finally spotted her, and he and Duchess headed over. "Hey. Sorry I took so long. Have you been waiting here for too long?"

Beatrix smiled and shook her head. "No, not long. Just came out." she then looked down at Striker. "Matt, this is Striker, my owl" she said lifting her arm. Striker starting flapping his wings and screetching at Matt. Beatrix quickly lowered her arm. "Oh dear. I'm sorry! I forgot that he doesn't like strangers" she said with a smile and shrug. She lifted her arm to the sky. "Go on Striker!" she called. He flew off her arm and back into the Owlery. "So..." she said, looking back to Matt.[/center

He smiled and said,"Good. I wouldn't want to keep you waiting..." He looked at the bird as it screeched and flapped its wings at him. He watched it fly away and shrugged. "Well, I can't say I get that reaction a lot, but it isn't the first time..." He smiled and said,"It's very beautiful here, isn't it?" He turned to look at the scene before them, a small fountain in the very center.

Beatrix nodded with a smile. "Very lovely. Shall we take a walk?" she asked as she stood. She went over to Duchess and pet her a bit, waiting for Matthew to start walking with her.

He smiled and said,"Sounds great." He joined her, Duchess tagging along beside him. He started, quiet for a moment, before he said,"So, I don't believe we ever covered where you were from... Or am I mistaken?" He turned his brilliant blue eyes on her, waiting patiently for her answer. He didn't have anywhere else to be, and it was a lovely day. Perfect. What was the rush?

"I'm from London, Enlgland...if that's what you meant..." she said with a smile. She was quite surprised that he didn't know she was from England, especially since her accent clearly showed.
She yawned and stretched her hands into the air, her shirt lifting to show her belly-button. Clearly not pierced. She found it gross to have belly-buttons pierced. But she was quite attracted to males with only their eyebrows pierced. She didn't know why. There was just something there.

He smiled and said,"London, huh? That's pretty cool..." He hooked his thumbs in his pockets, looking down for a moment as a gust of wind breezed through, ruffling his hair. He looked up again and said,"I'm from Ontario, Canada..." He grinned at her and said,"I suppose it's faintly evident in my voice... I do often sound like I'm just another American, but I've only been there once. Briefly." He shrugged and looked away from her, staring straight ahead. "We moved to London when I was 15. I was there for two years..." He trailed off for a moment, pausing. He wasn't aware he had, but he had simply gotten lost in his thoughts. Suddenly coming back, he smiled and looked at her. "And now I'm here, in France." He had wiped the slightly pained expression off of his face, and he had allowed the emotions in his eyes to melt away, leaving them with a rather happy look.
