How could she have been so stupid? How could she have trusted him? It was all a bet. She knew that now. She knew it had all been fake. And the worst part? She still had feelings for him. Not that she would admit that to herself, of course. She had taken care to avoid Jace, of course she had, and she’d blanked him in lessons, hurrying off as fast as she could after them. But she couldn’t avoid him for the rest of the school year.
She rested her head in her hands, trying hard not to cry. She didn’t want to cry over Jace, like so many girls had before her. She was right all along. In fact, he was probably kissing another girl, right now, as she sat under a tree, depressed and lonely.
“Bea? Bumble Bee? I’ve been looking everywhere. I heard about what happened- are you okay?” Bea looked up at her nickname, knowing that the only person she would ever allow to call her that was her brother. He sat down next to her, waiting for an answer. “No. I’m not okay. I fell horrible.” Bea didn’t bother lying, or asking her brother how he knew about it. “And you know the worst part, Dylan? I STILL have feelings for the jerk.” Dylan didn’t say anything. He just nodded awkwardly. “Anyway, can you go? I need to be alone.” Bea mumbled, resting her head against the tree. She listened to Dylan say goodbye and walk off before closing her eyes and sighing.

"Give them to me."
"How about no?"
"Give them to me!"
"Piss off, Cait- OW! Bitch!"
Of course, as with the usual, small, rather loud groups of Bradys that wandered about the school, causing havoc now and again, there was a little fight going on. Today it was between Jason, one of the older Bradys, and his much younger sister, Caitriona. This 'much younger sister' happened to have just pinched her brother hard, certainly hard enough to make his eyes water, so the fight was, unexpectedly, going her way. Though she had quite an advantage really.
"I won that stupid bet!" the younger girl was bellowing, trying to snatch the Bertie Botts' Every Flavoured Beans and the two chocolate frogs out of Jason's hands. "So I win your lame pocket crap! THOSE SWEETS ARE RIGHTFULLY MINE, JASON. RIGHTFULLY MINE."
Jason scoffed, shoving the winnings into his pocket. "Er, how the hell did you win it, exactly?"
"Well, I hardly see any pretty girlfriend walking beside you right now, do I?" she shot back, eyebrows raised. "So obviously, you cannot pull any girl you want." Beat that logic.
Obviously he could, as he replied, "Uh, hellooo? 'To pull' hardly means 'to make her my permanent beau for ever and ever and ever'. I took her out, and I took her home. Who's to say that we didn't have-"
"Fine, FINE, I believe you! Shut UP, please!" Cait interrupted. "Do not finish that sentence, I beg of you. I don't need to know exactly what you did or didn't 'have'. Fine. I said it, YOU WIN THE DAMN BET." Jason laughed at his sister's expression, which clearly betrayed what was going on in her mind. "Good," he said, with a nod. "Now you just owe me some sweets, yes?"
"Whatever," Caitie said, emphasizing the last part of the word, giving his arm a stinging slap and then turning the subject slightly. "So, without much detail, please, what on earth happened after the bar? Why isn't she clinging onto your arm and nagging you to buy her pretty, sparkly things like all your other girlies do?"
Jason sighed. "So, I take her back to my dorm. She's pretty much smashed, so I basically carried her back, and then stuff happened." He rolled his eyes and waved his hands in a hurrying motion, fast-forwarding past all the late-night activities and saving his sister from throwing up her breakfast.
"In the mornin'," he continued. "she wakes up and she's freakin' out. Seriously. So I dunno, she musta peed me off or somethin' 'cause the next thing I know we're arguin' and everythin's crap again. Then I make it all worse by lettin' the bet thing slip out an' she gets even more angry and upset. I haven' seen her since then." He shrugged, and sighed. "Which kinda sucks, as I got to like her, after a while. But whatever."
Caitriona looked shocked, and for a second Jason thought she was going to comfort him or something. But then she let out an angry roar, and kicked him in the leg. "You ass! You took advantage of an upset, alcohol-influenced girl, and- ugh! I can't even believe I'm related to you, sometimes." She crossed her arms and looked away from her blinking, surprised brother, shaking her head. "Finn would never do something like that."
"You pyscho!" Jason yelled in reply, rubbing his painful leg. The last comment about Finn aggravated him, and he snapped, "Well, boo-fuckin'-hoo, right? Sorry that I'm not as damn perfect as Finn! And I hardly took advantage of her, thanks! You weren't even there, so you can't talk. What do you even know, anyway? You're just a-"
"SHH!!" Caitie made the noise, before violently shoving her brother sideways. She had just seen Beatrix herself, and Jace's big gob was about to betray their position. Jason himself let out a yelp as he tripped over a low hedge and disappeared from view, and Caitriona stepped into the small area in which Bea was sitting, so upset.
It was likely that Beatrix wouldn't recognize her as any one of importance, as the girl looked relatively normal- and none of the Bradys looked alike in any way. She was dress normally, in a long, green, smock-like top with a white and black dotted belt around her waist and black leggings. On her feet were black converses. The sleeves of her green top were rolled up to the elbow, and there were green and gold bangles jingling on her wrists.
As normally dressed as a Brady could get, anyhow.
Taking a deep breath (she didn't particularly like confrontations, so she hoped that this girl wasn't the angry sort), the multi-shaded-haired Fina approached the other girl, who was sitting by a tree, and began to speak. "Um, hello." She smiled, and bit her lip, continuing with the next line even though it sounded ever so slightly creepy. "You don't really know me, but I know you..."
She sighed, and got on with it. "See, I'm the sister of the late 'Casanova'," She gave a couple of sarcastic hand motions there. "Jason Brady, who will surely die when I get my hands on him later. I just wanted to apologize for his atrocious behavior towards you, and tell you that... well, you're not the only person who thinks he's a bit of an ass. Sooo... don't get too sad over him." She gave her another smile. "Yeah. Bye."
Then she walked off, adding over her shoulder, "My name's Cait, by the way."
As she left, Jason entered, looking somewhat apprehensive. He stayed, thankfully, silent, ignoring the glares he received from his sister on her way out of the courtyard. Oh, dear God, why was he always stuck with her when he was in an awkward situation?

Beatrix listened, slightly confused. Who was this person? It was only when she said she was Jace's sister she started to pay attention. So this was his troublesome making sister. She seemed nice, but then again, at first glance, so did Jason.
"Well it was nice to meet you, and I second your opion on the ass thing." She smiled slightly, watching her walk off, and sighed. If she was here, then maybe Jason was too?
Not that she wanted that at all. But they needed to sort things out...
