((Okay, this is between two of my characters, so it will all be in one post. I mean, if you want to post here, feel free, for it will just make it all that more interesting seeing as I'm not bringing her in just yet... =D))
Oh God. This was not happening... Was it? No. There was no way. It just wasn't possible... She couldn't be here. A groan escaped the very distressed Fina as he entered Shaded Nights, sitting down at the bar. Matt came over, eyebrow lifting elegantly. He was always smiling lately, and Jon knew why, of course. He was now dating the lovely Emerald Darcy, who had somehow managed to tie him down, though Matt had some serious commitment issues. I mean, if you looked at Jon after what Alyssa had done to him, and you looked at Matt before Emerald, it was about a million times worse. The guy was actually terrified of getting involved in a commitment. It was so strange...
Matt spoke, and Jon's attention snapped back to his buddy. "You look like Hell, mate." Jon laughed dryly, and Matt grinned at him. "What'll it be?" Jon paused, thinking. He could really use a drink, but did he really want alcohol? No, he just wanted to relax. Matt, knowing what he was thinking somehow -- they never could figure out how they understood each other perfectly without even needing to speak -- smiled. "I'll bring you a beer." Jon whispered a quiet thanks, and Matt disappeared, coming back with a Corona and a lime. Jon smiled at him. "Ex coming to town?" Jon looked up as he took a large gulp, and his eyes told it all. Not just any ex... Matt understood. "Ah. Yes. Well, if you need anything, just call, okay?" Jon nodded, and Matt disappeared. Little did he know that his ex was on her way to the very same place with less-than-angelic plans...

It was almost Christmas and things were just fabulous; the attacks hadn't come back - and didn't seem to be - so Lareina had calmed down a bit, it was an all round joyful time - being Christmas, and all that - and Emerald had finally... well, although there isn't a very easy - or normal - things to say, but she had finally slept with her best friend, Matthew Jerrolds. Strange time of year, aye?
Strange, but good as hell, that was for sure.
This male Intermise was one of the main reasons that Emerald had taken a visit to the bar that he worked at. Another was that she hadn't got much else to do, she had a decent, clean, new pair of jeans that she felt like showing off, and Lareina was off roaming the streets at night. Like she used to before the Lioano attack. So poor Emerald had been left wandering around and around her dorm, wondering if she'd see Mattie at all tonight, when she got the idea of just going to see him.
That was so a light bulb-worthy idea.
So, the girl had pulled on these black jeans, coupled it with a cute little red vest top with a little bow on it and a denim jacket over the top, along with a pair of dark blue - which she hoped she would look black in the dark Shaded Nights - trainers. Then she had left her Fina common room, letting her - now unstreaked - blond hair fall free. It was a long-ish walk to the club, and she was shivering when she reached it, but felt relief flood through her along with the warmth.
Miss Darcy soon caught sight of Matt, and strolled over to the bar. Tapping her fingers lightly on the bar surface, she grinned, and said, "Hey, how much would I have to pay for one of you?" She said this cheekily, still grinning, and waited patiently for him to recognize that it was her.

The door had opened, letting in another customer, but Matt didn't look up. Afterall, that was a normal occurance. He hadn't seen Adam in a few days. He had left the bar in his care, saying that he had some business to attend to. He had seemed so... out of it. Matt knew something was wrong, but he figured his friend would tell him soon enough, such as when he returned. But soon his attention was taken from the group of girls he was serving in the corner -- who were all trying their hardest to get him to dance with them -- when a familiar voice called out to him. He looked over, and his eyes fell on Emerald as he listened to what she said. He grinned and headed her way, sliding his arms onto the bar in front of her.
" Well, that depends, darling. I'm free if there's an empty bedroom and you in it." He winked at her, grinning, and leaned over to press his lips against hers. He then pulled back, lifting the bar up a little, amused at the mutters of disappointment from the group of girls. He then picked Emerald up, putting her on his shoulder, and went back behind the bar, shutting it and locking it. He carried her a little ways off, putting her down behind the bar and grinning at her. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her long and slow before pulling away, taking her hand, and dragging her along to Jon. "Hey, Jon. I'd like you to meet my girlfriend..." He grinned at his friend, looking over at Emerald afterwards.
Jon looked up as Matt came back over dragging a blonde girl that looked vaguely familiar. Girlfriend? Oh yes. He smiled and said,"It's a pleasure to meet you... Emerald, is it?" He thought that was right... Of course, he was a little relaxed now due to being a little ways through his first beer. He was almost ready to order a second now, but not quite yet. The timing wasn't right... His mind was so busy with everything, though, that he had trouble sorting through it to discover her name. It took a deal of work, but he had eventually dragged it to the surface. He took a large gulp of his beer, begging those thoughts to leave him. He really didn't need them. However, Jonathan Halliwell was about to get the biggest shock of his life in the form of a girl stepping into the bar...
Alyssa had managed to pinpoint the exact location to find good partying pretty quickly. She looked around, seeing people eating dinner and dancing. Her eyes then shifted to the bar, and a victorious glint appeared in her eyes as a pleasant, delighted smile curved her lips. She stepped up to Jon, watching as Matt was called by another person who wanted a drink. He left, and she merely gave the blonde a simple look. She hadn't been able to get a good look at Matt, which was probably a good thing, for then she probably would have tried to take him from Emerald in time. The longer he stayed away, the safer he was. She turned all of her attention to Jon, however, and she smiled down at him, leaning over to whisper in his ear.
"Hello, babe. Long time no see, huh? You never even said goodbye..." This got a start from the Fina, and he turned to see who was speaking. His eyes fell on Alyssa, and his heart skipped a beat before beginning to race. Oh no... She grinned, knowing what was running through his mind. She grabbed the stool next to him, pulling it very close and sitting down. They were now so close that their legs were completely pressed against each other, and she turned in her seat so her legs were under his on his own stool. He stared at her, eyes wide, and she smiled. "What, no greeting? You make me sad, Jonny..." No one had called him that since he had left her... No one. That had always been her name for him. He swallowed, emotions flooding through him. "Um... Hey, Alyssa... How... How have you... been?"
She smiled, a hand placed on his leg. His eyes got really big then, and she smiled, speaking to him alone. "You always did have gorgeous eyes... How have I been? I've been pretty good. I've missed you, baby." She pouted a little, her hand sliding up his thigh. A shiver went through him, and he swallowed hard, trying to find the words. He knew if he tried to stop her, she would just make it worse for him, so he tried to ignore it, which was hard as her hand moved farther and farther north. She spoke again, and he tried to focus on her words. Did she know what she did to him? God, this was so twisted... So freaking twisted... "Come on, baby. What've you been up to?" He swallowed again, his breaths a little ragged and shaky. "Me? Um... Nothing much... Just, uh... Classes, you know?" She smiled. Oh yes. She knew exactly what she did to him...

Matt's reaction made Emerald's grin grow even wider, and she said, "That's sure solves my problem, then, because I happen to have forgotten my purse." And then he cut her words of - thankfully - with a kiss. Then, before she knew it, she was... well, her feet were off the ground, and she exclaimed, "Mattie! I bet this looks weird." And she could bet that it sure as hell did, especially to those girls lingering about her boyfriend. They didn't bother her, though; she trusted Matt, and he hadn't been so... so... slutty lately, either. That was good, and because of it, she was able to ignore everything around her apart from him.
Oh, and man, was she pleased when he kissed her. The butterflies started up in her stomach, and she smiled against his lips. She, honestly, just couldn't help it. His kisses - just his presence - caused her mood to lift almost immediately, and her lips curve into a smile. He was just... when they were together.. she just... it was fabulous, everything about it. Life was just great right now.
Emerald followed Matt over to Jon, and smiled, leaning against the Intermise. "I take it you already know my boyfriend," she said in the same exaggerated fashion, amused at Matt's introduction. God, was that just adorable, or what? She shook her head, still grinning, and replied to Jonathan, "Yeah, Emerald. I think I might have sat near you in one of our potions classes, once...?" She let the question trail away, and then shrugged. Matt, regrettably, left to serve the customers, and Emerald waggled her fingers in a friendly wave at the new girl that had suddenly appeared near Jon, then scampered after her Mattie.

He laughed and said,"Then that's just perfect, baby..." After setting her down, he raised his eyebrows and said,"And yes, I do. But hey, I had to get you over here somehow, didn't I?" He grinned at her, pulling her closer. Then, once they were with Jon, he smiled, holding her close. He kissed her before he had to dash off, and he was soon surprised with her tagging along. He slid them a beer down the bar, and he turned and pulled her into his arms, pressing his lips to hers and keeping them there for a considerably longer time than the last...
Jon smiled as she left, his attention returning to Alyssa. Oh man. He would much prefer that they hadn't left. Alyssa then grinned at him and said,"Oh yes... I know..." Her hand moved farther north, and he struggled to speak, faltering in his speech. "Um... So... How... How... Is everyone?" She smiled, getting even closer to him as she said,"They're all..." Her hand found its target, and his eyes widened as a sharp intake of breath was heard before he groaned a little. "... fine." A cruel smile curved her lips, and she tugged at the zipper. He shot her a look, moving her hand before excusing himself. She smiled, watching him disappear for a moment. She then made sure no one was looking before she dropped a few pills in his beer. He wouldn't need any more after this...
Jon had disappeared outside, getting some fresh air. He was sweating, and he was having a difficult time catching his breath. He soon took a deep breath and went back inside, making his way to the bar. He sat back down, looking back at Alyssa. She pouted a little. "What, baby? Missed me?" Her grin soon replaced the pout, and he picked up his beer bottle in response, downing the rest of it. He then shook his head a little and said,"No, not really." She raised an eyebrow. "Really? Well, certain things are telling me otherwise..." His eyes narrowed at her, and he didn't respond, though he began to wonder why things were getting a little fuzzy. Ah, must be the beer. It might have been too strong. Or it was the smoke. Yeah, that was it. Oh, if he only knew...

"Yes, well... you could have just pulled me over here," Emerald had said, her voice now grumbly in a playful kind of way, as she wondered why on earth she and Matt were still having this rather useless conversation. Then he was busy doing his job, and the Fina girl found that she didn't like his attention being elsewhere very much at all. She hoped he'd be able to finish soon. Then they could just be together. And that was always pretty good.
When he had served a couple of customers, Emerald found herself being pulled back into his arms again, kissed once more. That was always really good, and she found her arms around his neck, which was where they usually went, and one hand soon found it's way into his dark locks. She pulled away after a while, slightly breathless, and said in a voice that came out more of a whine than anything else, "Mattieee... when does your shift end?"

Mattie grinned at her and said,"When all these people leave." He laughed a little and said,"Adam's away, and he left me in charge. He said he'd be back in a few days, so hopefully he'll be back soon. But it's a slow night, so most of them should be cleared out in a couple of hours." He smiled and kissed her again, not moving, even as he heard people requesting for drinks. He instead blocked them out, deciding that they could wait or they could go home and get drunk instead. He was rather enjoying himself here... Then the miracle came. He heard a voice -- a very familiar one, at that -- make a sarcastic remark.
"Whoa. Hey, Matt. This the girl that managed to tie you down?" Matt pulled away, and a grin spread across his face. He then pulled Emerald closer and said,"Yep, sure is." It was Adam, his buddy. He grinned again and said,"Adam, this is Emerald Darcy. Em, this is Adam MacKeltar. He's one of the best guys I know." Adam laughed and shook his head a little, saying,"Nah. I'm sure Jon's much better, or even Cal. Me? Uh, yeah, not seeing it. Afterall, I'm the 'bad' one, remember?" He grinned and his attention shifted to Emerald. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Emerald. I must say, you have to be something really special to get Matt to let himself actually call a girl his girlfriend." He smiled, and though he was messing with Matt, he was happy for his friend on the inside.
He really was happy for him, the lucky bastard...
((Editing still. But this was Katie can reply... The rest doesn't much make a difference yet. xDDDDDD))

Emerald glanced around, her eyes settling on lots and lots of people. Oh man, that sucked so bad; they'd be here for ages, yet. It was still early. She sighed, and said, "Oh well, then." She'd just have to wait, then, she decided, kissing Matt back happily. Hey, if wasn't going to take any notice of the waiting customers nearby, then neither was she. They could wait a bit longer, while she spent some - pleasant indeed - time with her boyfriend, now couldn't they?
Emerald was once again introduced to someone else, this time it being the male that Mattie had just mentioned, moments before. She giggled at what the Lioano said, and replied, "Wow, Mattie. You really have been spreading news of me, haven't you?" She shook her head, grinning, and then said to Adam, "Yeah, it's a pleasure." At the last thing he said, she replied, "Wow. I'm not sure whether to feel good about that, or..." She glanced at Matt, smiling. "...uneasy."
