Golden hair, golden skin, golden bikini and a black velvet sky. Green eyes hazy, and red lips softly parted, Charlie was drunk and alone again. Lord knows what put the idea of a midnight swim into her pretty little head, but there she was, waist deep in heated water alone and for some reason faintly amused. Sure it was stupid, pointless and dangerous, and despite the apparently horrible social situation she was in, Charlie was actually in a very good mood. She was just getting to that point of being beyond caring anymore. So her best friend was still dead, and so Adam still hated her guts. She was fine and dandy. She was pretty cherry. It might have had something to do with the seven banana daiquiris she had consumed at another trip to Shaded Nights about an hour earlier.
Leisurely, she pushed off into the deeper water, kicking her legs lazily behind her, just enough to keep her afloat and moving towards the other end of the pool. Half way, she rolled onto her back, looking at the half clouded night sky above her. The air was warm and fairly humid, but it still brought goosebumps to her exposed skin. She didn't feel that cold though - the alcohol kept her feeling warm and fuzzy. A few more half-hearted strokes, and Charlie was done. It was nice and all, but she was getting bored and loosing focus quickly. In one smooth movement, she heaved herself out of the pool onto the tiles, grazing her slender thighs on the side as she did so. Carefully, she stood up, and shook the water off her hands, and squeezing out of her caramel hair. Of course, she had forgotten her towel, but the thought didn't strike her sluggish brain until she was trying to brush the water of her shapely self with a casual hand. Charlie started giggling. How daft was she?
(LULZ. Couldn't be bothered thinking of a slick cool title. xD Shoot me now kthnxbi. D:)

It was late; late enough that darkness enveloped the school grounds and gave everything suspicious shadows by the light of the moon. Late enough that everybody with an ounce of sense in their body should be curled up in their beds, fast asleep. Naturally, however, that was not the case. Not at all.
Along with the various other students probably still away in the school, Jason Brady was out wandering. Well, not really wandering, but... he'd just come back from Shaded Nights. At least, he thought it had been Shaded Nights. It had looked like Shaded Nights. The drinks - and yes, there had been many - had tasted like the Shaded Nights ones. And there were tons of pretty girls dancing around wearing not very much- much like, you guessed it. Shaded Nights.
But he couldn't really remember. What he could remember, was that there had been a girl. A very beautiful girl - he hoped - who he'd had a lot of fun with all night. He'd just left her outside the grounds; she hadn't been from Beauxbatons, he didn't think. She might even have been older than him; he distinctly remembered her asking him back somewhere, but it could just as easily have been 'back to my room' or 'to my house' than it could have been 'round that back alley'.
He'd been a little bored with her, though, as he'd already gotten what he wanted from her. More than once. So he'd wandered back to the school, becoming increasingly bored and even more awake than when he'd left, so he wished he'd gone somewhere with 'Back To...'-Girl. Maybe there was something else to occupy him? He doubted it. Students would be tucked up into their beds like little goody-two-shoes, wouldn't they?
At least, that had been what Jason had thought. But he was passing by the outdoor pool, feeling a little nauseous - thanks to alcohol - when he heard faint splashing. What the...? That wasn't a person, was it?
Wowza. That was not a person. It was one of the prettiest girls he'd seen all night, and he sincerely hoped that it wasn't alcohol that was making him see funny, or something. There was a tall, slim, tanned blonde in a bikini standing near the pool right in front of him, wasn't there? Because if this was a hallucination - or, worse, that he had passed out in the street and it was all a dream - then it was a very good hallucination. Even if it would be disappointing that it wasn't real.
Shut up, brain.
Jason resisted the temptation of alerting the pretty girl by saying something stupid and incredibly lame, like 'hey, you're hot'. Which was pretty much the only thing going through his mind at that moment. But still. He managed to stop it coming out of his mouth - and was pleased to realize that he wasn't feeling nauseous anymore - and just said nothing instead, moving further into the pool area. His feet slipped on the wet tiles, however, and he flailed clumsily for a second, before regaining his balance and wondering if she'd heard that.
Because that would really have been embarrassing if he'd been sober.
