{This thread is after the Beatrix/Jason thing, mmkay, peeps? That explains his bad mood and all that. If you didn't see that thread... then ignore me. =D}
"Oh, come on, you losers!" the voice of Caitriona Brady called out, stepping forward and entering the outside pool area. "It's nice and warm, if you come out into the sun!" Yeah, which there wasn't too much of. It was the first of June, so the temperature was rising and it was warm outside, but it was far from a nice summer day. But it was going to have to do for today, because, good weather or bad weather, Caitie Brady wanted to swim.
"It's fucking freezing, that's what it is." This was the reply she got, as two boys and one girl came around the corner, joining her in the pool area. The male who had spoke was Jason, typically, and Cait rolled her eyes at his bad temper. He had won their bet, after all. What was he so pissed off about lately? She didn't understand guys, particularly not that one.
Finn and Violet were beside him, with their swimming things in a bag. Caitriona had persuaded them to come down with her for just come free, fun swimming and perhaps and bit of childish splashing, the two hadn't seemed to mind too much. It was Jason that was continually whinging about having to come down, even though he was the one that loved water. Caitie just suspected he was in a whiny mood. He tended to have those, once in a while.
"Come on, JaceFace," Finn said, dropping his swimming bag onto a nearby lounger. "It's not that cold." He stepped forward, and grinned up at the sun, which was peeking through the leaves of the over-hanging trees in the area. "If you come out here, it's actually quite-"
"Shut up, FiFi," Jason interrupted, shooting a nickname back in return for the one Finn gave him. "I say it's cold, so it bloody is." He strode past and flopped onto one of the loungers, crossing his arms and frowning like a child about to have a tantrum. Finn blinked, and mouthed, "SOZ" at his brother's back, sticking his tongue out afterwards. Caitriona giggled, placing her stuff on Finn's lounger.
They all changed into their swim stuff. Caitie's was black, just a plain black swimsuit, and she didn't wait for her siblings to finish changing. She threw herself into the pool, gasping when the icy water hit her skin. She was shivering when she came up, and was met with the triumphant, I-told-you-so expression of Jason's. She glared back, dunking her head beneath the water, then pushing her dark, multi-highlighted locks behind her ears when she came up for a breath.
Glancing over at the pool side, she saw that Violet and Finn were arguing over whose towel was whose. Violetta was getting red, as she always did when she was angry and arguing, and the fight ended with her yanking the towel out of her brother's hands and pushing him, hard. Into the pool, as it were. Jason whooped with laughter, yelling, "Violent Violet's got him again!" to which she replied in a snarl, "Do want some, as well?"
She messed with the bows on each side of her red bikini bottoms, and wasn't looking at the pool. This proved to be a mistake, as Finn's hand caught her ankle and gave it a tug. Thankfully, she didn't fall backwards but forwards. Letting out a yell she bowled over Finn's pale shoulder and landed in the water, splashing it everywhere. Cait and Jason looked on in amusement.
"See what you're missing, Jace?"

Matt glared at the two girls giggling at him, grumbling something about 'stupid girls' under his breath as he reluctantly grabbed his towel and shades. They grinned, and he stuck his tongue out at them before saying,"Okay. Fine. I'm ready to go now. Happy?" One smiled, her brown hair falling in waves down her back as her chocolate eyes met his own and she laughed. "Yes, Matt, we are." He shook his head and said,"You'd better be. Because let me tell you, Aimee, being woke up at the crack of dawn--" A voice cut in and said,"It was noon, Matthew." He shot the other a glare, her lighter brown hair about the length of Aimee's. Her hazel eyes stared right back at him, laughter dancing in them. "-- is not my idea of fun."
He sighed and put his shades on, crossing his arms, which were covered by a blue jean jacket. A pale blue t-shirt underneath that with darker blue designs swirling across it and faded letters that spelled something you could no longer make out. Blue jeans covered his boxers, and a pair of Converses were on his feet. Aly rolled her eyes and said,"Come on, you lazy bum." Her and Aimee grabbed his arms, towing him out of the room and down to the pool outside. Once there, he shot the both of them glares before setting his stuff down in a chair. He shrugged out of the jacket and pulled off his shoes and socks. Next went the pants, revealing black swimming trunks with nothing else, really. It was strange, but for once Matt was wearing something plain.
Aimee and Aly had put their things together on a bed a few places down, giving him some space, and they came over in bikinis. Aimee's was white with red polkadots, and it was very cute on her. She had twisted her hair up and pinned it with a clip that was the same color red on her bathing suit. Aly was wearing a black bikini with white trim, the straps being white as well. Her hair was down, spilling around her shoulders and down her back. They smiled at him, and he gave in and said,"Okay, okay... I'll play nice." They laughed, and he made a face at them before turning and catching sight of another family as they entered. He watched, soon seeing one guy tumble in, only to pull in his sister. Well, family love, nothing better. Except, his family wasn't blood related. Not anymore.
He walked towards the pool, and unlike the other two, stopped a good ways back before getting a running start and diving into the deep end. He resurfaced moments later, spewing water and smoothing his hair back. Aimee handed him his shades, which he had left on the chair, and he took them and put them over his eyes, flipping over onto his back and smoothly gliding away from them and towards the more solitary side of the pool. Aimee turned to Aly and said,"So, which one of us goes into the freezing pool first?" Aly paused for a moment as the two walked along the edge, though she didn't stop walking. Then she said,"Well, let's see... How about you--" She never finished, because at that moment she found herself tripping and falling face-first towards Jason.
Aimee blinked, but as Aly flew towards Jason, Aimee found herself being kicked by suddenly airborne feet, and soon she was flying backwards into the pool. She landed hard, reaching the bottom in no time, and shoved off from the bottom hard. She reached the surface gasping, spraying water and grabbing onto the side of the pool for balance and until she could get her bearings. She groaned and said,"Well, I do believe that just answered my question... Me first." She sprayed a bit more water from her mouth before she opened her eyes and allowed herself to let go of the wall. She sighed and blinked. Feeling her hair, she swore a little under her breath. "Now where did my clip go?" She turned to look for it, scanning the water everywhere. Just what she needed... Now her hair was going to look terrible, and she was going to see Alex later, or at least that was the plan...
((Crap. But hey, I'm a little out of practice. *shifty eyes* ))

First there had been little chaos- at least, as little as you could get with Bradys in the room. Then, the other group of people decided to come in and BAM. Water flying everywhere. Bodies everywhere. Laughing Caits and Finns everywhere. Swearing Jasons every- well, there could only really be one of him, or else the population of world would hate each other. But still.
Jason was lounging back, on the chair, when Aly flew in front of him. He squinted in the sunlight before his eyes widened as warm skin hit him, and he exclaimed rather ungentlemanly, "Holy shit! Watch where you're freakin' going-" She collided into the lounger - and him, mind you - which caused it to skid along the tiled floor, before landing in the nearby plant area, which was filled with flowers and, well, dirt. Somehow he'd manage to catch her by the arms, and she was above him. Still getting over the shock of the fall (and the shock of who was on him), he managed to raise an eyebrow. "Why, hello."
Caitriona popped up cheerfully in front of Aimee, then, grinning and holding a red hair clip. "This is where your clip went," she replied. As Aimee had fallen, the hair clip had shot out and skittered across the water surface, landing near her arm and beginning to sink. So the girl had retrieved it from somewhere beneath the water, and was now passing it back.
Violet was still flung over Finn's shoulder, and she let out a squeal of, "Hey, I have that clip in purple-! Wow, he's fit." She'd just noticed Matt, on his back with his shades, floating a little away. Finn rolled his eyes at her somewhat shallow comment, then turned his head and looked over his shoulder at Aimee. He smiled apologetically (on behalf of Violet) at her, sensing that Matt over there must be her friend, and then let go of Violet's legs, causing her to fall into the water headfirst.
But no. Finn hadn't managed to get his own back on her, because let's face it; life's unfair. Finn never gets his own back on his mean sister (or anybody else, come to think of it). See, as she fell, she kicked and yelled, resulting in Finn getting a flailing foot in the nose. He yelled out then, and Cait burst into laughter. The male didn't look so happy about it, however, as he poked at his nose to see if it was bleeding. "You better not have broken it again, you silly-"
He turned to face Violetta, who had surfaced from the water, and was dismayed to find that she wasn't listening to a single word he was saying. She was, instead, leaning against the pool side, blonde hair falling over her shoulder, dripping, and waving at Matt, obviously hoping that he'd sit up and take notice in her. This only made Caitie laugh harder and Finn scowl.
Siblings.

And suddenly, Aly wasn't flying anymore. Instead, she was on top of some guy. Ok, scratch that, some cute guy. He was holding her arms, and boy was she glad as the chair skidded across tile and into the grass, and dirt. Her legs were straddling one of his, and she just looked at him. He swore at first, and she winced and squealed,"Sorry!" And then, they stopped, and she just stared down at him. A small breath of laughter exploded and she said,"Well, hello yourself." She took a moment and then said,"Um... I'm Alyssa Winthrop. Call me Aly. And you are?" She didn't get up yet. Besides the fact that she was still a little shocked and dazed, who wouldn't want to spend more time on top of a cute guy? She would.
Aimee turned at the voice, and she smiled and took it from the girl. "Thank you. I'm Aimee Reynolds... You?" The question was posed to all of them, really, but mostly Caitriona and Finn. Speaking of, she looked up as someone explained that she had it in purple before commenting on Matt. She glanced over at him, and found his sunglasses on the tip of his nose as he lifted an eyebrow and looked at her. She made a face and said,"Don't start with me, Matthew. I do know where you sleep, and I'm not afraid to spread some friendly cheer around." She gave him a sweet smile as he narrowed his eyes, before he tipped his glasses back up and went back to floating.
She looked at Finn as he gave an apologetic look, then suddenly the other girl was dumped. Of course, for the millionth time that day, something happened in a split second that left her blinking. The girl yelled and kicked, and the boy was nailed in the nose. Her eyes widened, and she covered her mouth to hide the grin that had broke out. She couldn't help the fit of giggles, however, and succombed to them. A moment later, after he had yelled only to find her on the other side, she had recovered, and she waded over to him. "Are you alright?" she asked, a smile still on her lips. She couldn't help it, really, it was rather funny. "It isn't bleeding or broken?" It may be funny, but if it was, she would rather fix it than leave it.
Matt looked up at the next bout of commotion, only to find a blonde girl waving at him. He lifted an eyebrow and shrugged mentally. He then let his feet drop and straightened up, swimming over to her. He leaned back against the wall and looked at her. "Well, hello there. What might someone like me call a pretty little thing like you, hmm?" He smiled, removing his shades and placing them on the top of his head out of the way. Blue eyes found her own, and his hair -- which was still wet -- was starting to dry a little. It didn't take long, and only the back was very wet, really. It was still falling its normal way -- only pounds of gel could stop there -- but it was wet and dripping instead of being dry and not-so-drippy...

Jason watched her as she let out that little breathy giggle before, replying, and then he laughed himself. He glanced around her before watching, and laughed again- it was unbelievable! No one, not even Violet, had noticed Alyssa send them both skittering away into the flowerbed, nor the questionable position she was sitting atop him in right now. Everyone noticed Finn fall, but him? Oh NO.
"My name's Jason Brady, but ya can call me Jace." Oh, how nice of him. Then the male sat back and crossed his arms across his lower chest, resting them lightly somewhere near her thigh, and closed his eyes. Mm. She was keeping his legs warm, and keeping out the remaining sun. Plus, she was nice to look at. He could deal with her sitting on him for now. Heck, for as long as she wished it. He wasn't going to tell her anything otherwise, like 'gerroff'.
"My name's Caitie," Caitriona replied. "Well, Caitriona Brady most of the time, but hey, that sucks, so just call me Caitie or Cait." Finn appeared to be busy trying to drown Violet, so she then said, "The guy with the brown hair, who's built like a tree? Yeah. That's Finn. And the girl who's being all girly at your mate over there? She's Slutty McBitch." Cait heard an explosion of laughter from Finn's direction, as well as an indignant huff from Violet, and she added, "Nah, she doesn't like that nickname. Her name's Violent. Uh, Violet, I mean."
Tipping his head back, Finn continued to poke his nose, but it didn't seem to be bleeding anytime soon, although it was a bit clogged-up-sounding. He looked back at Aimee. "Do, I dink it's alride dow, thadnks, Aibee," he managed to get out through it, giving it one last pinch and then a sniff, clearing it. "Anyway, it's always Jason that breaks my nose. Where is he, anyway?" He looked behind Aimee to the trees, seeing only part of his brothers legs and then a girl on top. Looking back at Aimee, he looked incredulous. "Are you kidding me? Somebody's already trying to sex him up?"
The male swam up behind Violet, muttering something along the lines of 'some things in the world just aren't fair'. Violet herself had just grinned, leaning forward to say something in reply to Matt, when Finn grabbed her shoulders in an act of courage and shoved her below the water. "Slutty McBitch won't be talking today, Mr... Jerrolds, was it?" He smiled, and shook his sister beneath the water, who was fighting to punch him somewhere quite delicate, but missing. Then he let her go and swam off towards Cait.
Violetta came up looking livid. She turned to face Finn, who was sheltering behind a laughing Caitriona, and yelled, "YOU ARE SO IN FOR IT NOW, YOU UNFORGIVABLE ASS!!" Finn just burst out laughing, having heard her threats all before, and replied, "That was nothing! I was going to yank your bikini top down!" Jason's laughter at hearing the yelling could be heard over in the flower bed, which seemed to egg Finn on. He'd usually run with his tail in between his legs when Violetta got going.
Perhaps it was the unusual amount of pretty females - that weren't related - hanging around. Whatever it was, it was doing Finn Brady some good. Even if he was, at that moment, using Caitriona as a human shield from Violet's rage.

She smiled and said,"Well, Jace, it's nice to meet you." She moved her legs a bit, trying to get so that she could actually, oh I don't know, do something besides lay here helplessly. Instead, she received a sharp pain in her ankle for her trouble. She gasped and looked down, seeing it slightly swollen. With a face, she turned back to Jace. "Well, I somehow don't see me getting very far for a bit... I seem to have sprained my ankle in the fall." He had crossed his arms and closed his eyes, so she figured she might as well settle down for a bit. For all she knew, she was going to be here a while. So she let her arms rest on his upper chest, her elbows holding her steady, though he was more holding her up. "So, Jace, what house are you in?" Might as well have a conversation, right? I mean, she wasn't winning any races any time soon.
Aimee smiled and said,"Caitriona, huh? It's neat; I like it. But hey, I can understand. Like Matthew over there. Hates his name, so he insists we call him Matt. As you can see, I just love to annoy him with it." She looked at Finn as she said his name, and then looked at Violet. When she heard the comment, she laughed and said,"No, I don't believe she does..." She looked over at Matt, who seemed to be nice and cozy with Violet. She rolled her eyes, thinking that Emerald had it in for herself when she'd fallen for this one. She smiled though, knowing that Matt was a one-woman man. Sure, he may flirt, or at least entertain a girl, but he would never let it get any farther. It was just the way he was, really. She was glad, too, because he and Emerald were perfect for each other in every way, and she could see just how happy they made each other.
She smiled and said,"Well, that's good, then." She looked in the direction he did, shaking her head a little. "That would be Aly... Poor girl's been in a slump since the attack, but I think she may be out of it now." She coughed a little before turning back to Cait. "So, what house are you in, Cait? And what about Finn and Violet?" She wanted to know where to find her new friends, ya know? Then an explosion of noise hit her ears, and she looked around, only to find Finn the source of it. However, he had made his flighty escape, and was now using Cait as a shield against the screaming Violet. She laughed, deciding that she liked this family. Nothing was ever boring around them. Nothing at all...
Matt just blinked as suddenly Violet was gone, instead replaced by the rather unattractive form of her brother -- not that wasn't attractive for girls, he just wasn't Matt's type. He laughed and said,"Ah. I see. Well, then, I'll just have to find some other form of amusement then, won't I?" He grinned, then Finn was gone and Violet was up and yelling. Deciding now was his time to make a break for it, he took of his shades and tossed them onto the ground outside the pool. He then dove underwater, heading for Aimee. Once there, he grabbed her ankle and pulled her under, causing her to squeal before disappearing beneath the water. He swam away fast then, surfacing on the other side of Finn and Cait. Once Aimee was up and spluttering, she shot him a glare and said,"Ooooh! You're in for it now, Matt!" She shot after him, and he laughed as he swam away, keeping out of her reach, for now.
Miley rolled her eyes as Reid continued his complaining. The two were rarely seen together, much less walking down to the pool, but Reid had wanted to see his little sister, and Miley had given in. Besides, he had needed help with his Charms work, so she had helped him figure it out before they decided to take a break. And, this being Miley, she had suggested running. This being Reid, he had wanted either video games or something with girls. So they compromised on the outdoor pool, a winning agreement for the both of them. However, Miley was currently suffering her brother's complaints about how stupid homework was and how he shouldn't have to do it. They walked into a pool area and put their stuff down, and he was still going, so she turned to him and said,"Reid, put a sock in it!" To go along with the phrase, she shoved a pair of socks into his mouth and stalked off.
He stared after her before pulling the socks out, spitting fuzz and glaring at her. He was wearing deep red swim trunks, his hair needing a trim. It was only about 3 inches long, but it was long enough for him. Miley was wearing a bikini, surprisingly, but it was far from revealing. It was simple, too. A baby blue in color with large darker blue polkadots. She saw all the people there but ignored them, running and diving into the pool. Reid watched as she proceeded to start doing laps in the pool, only acknowledging Aimee as she shot past trying to catch Matt. Reid, on the other hand, dove in and headed straight for Matt. He grabbed him and tugged him underwater, wrestling with him for a moment before Aimee caught up to them. Then he released him and let Aimee dunk him a few times before she swam off back to Cait and Finn. He then laughed as Matt came up dripping and annoyed. This time, the joke was on him, as he found himself being tackled underwater again. Well, he had started it, right? Right.

{OMG, LIGHT TEXT THAT I CAN’T READ. >_< *highlights it* And today's post will be long and somewhat choppy, as Kate wrote half of it yesterday when she was feeling very, very tired. Nonetheless, here you go. =DDDD}
“Aaaand nice to meet you,” Jason replied to her lazily, eyes remaining closed as he totally relaxed his mind and limbs. This was turning out to be quite a decent day. The male’s grey-blue eyes fluttered open quickly, however, when he heard Aly’s gasp. He heard her explanation, and then shrugged and nodded, closing his eyes once more.
She was leaning on him then, and he listened to her conversational words with an eyebrow arched, yet again. So she was one of small talk, obviously. “I’m in Lioano,” he replied, opening one eye to peer up at her. The sun shone behind her head like she was some sort of holy saint, or something. “Which is obvious. Which house are you in?” Hey; replying was polite.
“Thanks,” Caitriona replied with a smile. “And he hates the name Matthew? I love that name.” She laughed. “Finn had a mate name Matthew back in Ireland, but we all called him Mattie- well, the girls did, anyway. Lads always stuck to ’Matt’. Girls just seem to stick an ’ie’ on everything, Finn told me he’d noticed.” She rolled her eyes. “’Cause he’s weird and notices things like that. But I think the shortening of names just comes naturally to most.”
And God, could she talk, or what? When Caitie Brady REALLY got going… oh man. She tended to fill people’s ears with, well, CRAP.
Finn had barely heard Aimee introduce Aly, but Caitie had, and noticed Jason’s whereabouts for the first time since they arrived. Then she answered the questions. “I’m in Fina, and so is my dear brother Finn. Violent’s in Intermise - the sorting thingy musta been shitting us; her in the smart house? And him, over there? Jace?” She pointed at Alyssa’s back or, more specifically, the male who's legs were several inches below. “Ch’yeah. He’s a Lioano.”
Then Aimee was beneath the water herself, thanks to Matt, and Cait shrugged and grinned, feeling herself yanked by the shoulders, by Finn, to face Violet. The angry Intermise was circling them, and suddenly, she jumped. And it was then that Cait found herself in a sibling sandwich. Ew.
Flailing her wet arms and legs around and splashing water droplets everywhere, she eventually managed to swim free from them, and watched Violet wrestling Finn and trying to get him beneath the water from a safely far distance. Violetta’s job shouldn’t be very hard, really- she was probably heavier than Finn as it was, and if she caught him by surprise she’d probably be able to drag him to the bottom.
Plus, the world tended to hate him anyway, so she’d most likely just have to flick him, or something, and he’d go down. For now, however, he seemed adamant on holding onto the pool side and bellowing for her to let go, in between laughs.
Caitriona watched all this with mild amusement, ducking now and again if some water of a wild leg came flying her way, before her attention turned to Matt and Aimee. Who, as it were, were also play-fighting (at least, she sure hoped it was all done as a playful joke) happily. Wow- she was glad she’d decided to come down already. She and her siblings had gotten first dibs on the pool, but now the people were crowding in. There were two more, a boy and a girl, coming that way already, and Cait, usually somewhat shy, gave the, a wave, and a smile.
She needn’t have bothered, really, as the girl dove in right away without a second glance, and the guy went for Matt. Shrugging, she turned around, glancing back at Violet and Finn. What she saw made her giggle.
Finn had seen the new people arrive - particularly the nice-looking girl, Caitie guessed, as she was pretty sure her brother wasn’t gay, despite what Jason said - and he was, well, staring at them. The new people. Because of this, he happened to have relaxed his grip on the tiled pool side. Giggling, Violetta evilly tugged at his swimming shorts (stealing his idea, which had been to pull down her bikini top in front of Matt) and then shoved him down and away from her, leaning on the pool edge for more support.
She really was being a bitch today, Caitie thought as she laughed at the cruel stunt.
Finn gave a loud yelp, pulling his shorts back up beneath the water and waving his free arm around wildly, praying that nothing had been seen. Also, trying not to drown. He surfaced again seconds later and his face was red, even though, as far as he could see, no one had seen anything when Violet pulled his trunks down. Ah, yes. His dear sister, wherever she was. Now she would surely die. And be humiliated. Whichever came first. There she was.
The blonde blood-relation was scrambling up the pool ladder- or trying her hardest to, at least. She was almost crying with laughter. He reached there first, spluttering with anger, and tried to pull her off the ladder. She kicked him in the chest and escaped out of the water, where she stood, weight on one foot, her arms crossed. One of her eyebrows were raised, and she was looking down at Finn as he spluttered as if to say, ‘what are you looking at?’
“Violet!” he exploded. “You don’t do things like that!!”
The girl scoffed, and her voice lowered to a hiss when she spoke to him this time. “What are you, my mother? You deserved it. That’s what you get for embarrassing me in front of cute guys like Matt, and threatening to pull down my top!” She stepped away from the edge, wringing out her wet hair, and then lay back on a lounger near the flowerbeds, but away from Jason and far out of reach of Finn. Time for some sunbathing. Some evil sunbathing.
Muttering something along the lines of, “yeah, well, I didn’t”, Finn turned around. He was met with Caitie’s laughing face. “You’ve gone red, you know, dear brother,” she commented, laughter still in her voice, as she turned from him to lie against the cool pool edge, allowing her legs to drift up to the surface and float there. Ahh, things were back to normal. Jason had a girl on top of him, Violet was being a bitch, Finn got upset and she? Well, she was just watching it all happen. Usually with Lauren-Kate, but the girl hadn’t been seen around lately. She hadn’t even seen Aeryn properly, yet.
When would the Bradys be together again?

She smiled and said simply,"Intermise. Thus how I ended up with Aimee and Matt over there..." She let her arms cross on his chest, though instead of resting against her, they were keeping her stable as she then proceeded to rest her head on them. She was looking to the side now, feeling the warmth of the sun on her back and from Jace on her front, and it was really just making her feel sleepy and peaceful. So she decided she'd try to take a nap, since night time sleeping wasn't going so well. Her eyes fluttered closed, and she just let herself relax. She wasn't asleep yet, but rather she was just letting herself relax and rest fully instead of partially. It was nice, though, especially with the light breeze that barely played with her hair.
She laughed and said,"Yes. It's strange, isn't it? On everything, hmm? Like Finnie?" She grinned and said,"Personally, I tend to stick to, uh, non-'ie' ending names. I mean, if I put an 'ie' on the end of my boyfriend's name, he would sound more like a girl. So I just stick to 'Alex'." She smiled and said,"Fina, huh? One of my best guy friends is in there... Jonathan Halliwell, the head boy? Also, Matt's girlfriend is in there. As for Lioano, well, Alex is in there. And one of Matt's best mates. Two, actually. But that's besides the point... Oh, really? Intermise? I never would have seen that one..." She grinned and said,"But I suppose it has its reasons, hmm? At least, we can only hope."
Matt and Reid finally stopped, laughing as they tried to regain their breath. Finally, Matt said,"Long time no see, Reid." He grinned and said,"Yeah, Matt... Long time no see... So, how's that girlfriend of yours?" Matt smiled, his eyes softening, and said,"She's great..." Before he could continue, Reid said,"Save it. I don't want to know all the details, mate." Matt laughed and splashed him before getting a larger one in return. Then, he was dunked, and he came up with a glare for Reid as he spewed water. Then he dunked him and sped off, laughing. Reid caught him, though, and dunked him good before racing to the edge of the pool, climbing out quickly before Matt could get to him. Matt shot a glare at him, stuck out his tongue, and started floating again. Reid, on the other hand, saw Violet, and his eyebrows lifted. He slid onto the lounger beside her and rested his head on his arms crossed behind his head as he said,"Well, hello there. I don't believe we've met..."
Miley was swimming by whenever Finn suddenly lost his trunks, and she paused, blinking as he pulled them up and shot after his sister. She just stared at him, mouth slightly parted, before Reid shot past her, spraying her with water as he did so. "Reid!" He just laughed and waved at her from the ground, and she glared at him before making a frustrated noise and diving under for a moment. She came back up and smoothed her hair back before swimming over to join Cait and Aimee. She tended to avoid boys unless in groups. Besides, when she was alone with a boy that she wasn't related to, she got very shy. She hated it. She smiled at Aimee and said,"Hey, Aimee." To Cait she said,"I'm Miley Danvers. Intermise. What about you?"

Jason smirked. “Aren’t Intermises supposed ta be smart? As in, watchin’ where they put their feet and not knockin’ the wind outta random guys they trot past?” He raised an eyebrow, and laughed at her as she closed her eyes, her head near his on her arms. “Nah,” he then went on, as if disagreeing with himself. “My sister’s in that house, after all, and she’s pretty much dumb as a brick mosta the time.” Unless she was humiliating Finn, of course. She was conniving and smart, then.
Cait laughed back. “Finnie.” She shook her head admiringly. “Seriously. ‘Finnie’. That’s hilarious, and definitely his new name from now on.” She waited to hear what Aimee’s boyfriend’s name was, and then snorted. “Alexie. That’s pretty awful. He does sound like a girl, you’re right about that. So, no. Maybe we don’t put an ‘ie’ on everything, and maybe Finnie dear is just a retard.” She then nodded decisively. “No, wait, Finnie’s definitely a retard. I knew that already.”
Nothing sweeter than sibling love and affection, eh?
“Yeah, I know the Head Boy, but I don‘t really see him around much,” she then said in agreement. “I know the Head Girl better. Intermise she’s in, right? Yeah. Does she interfere, or what? She’s already got Jason busted for some random crap he’s done around here.” Cait then laughed, and explained a little. “I think he just peed her off by hitting on her. He does that a lot, with, like, every girl he comes across. Our Jack’s worse, though.” She referred to her other brother, who was better behaved than Jace but awful when it came to girls. The least he ever had going at once was two. The least.
“And yeah. We only can hope. With looks like that and a brain with less intelligence, she’ll have to watch herself, and she‘ll have to do it pretty good.” Caitriona glanced over at Violetta on her little bed thing, and wondered if she’d gotten any wiser at all. Like Aimee said: you could only hope.
Violetta herself shaded her eyes from the sun slightly with one hand, and watched as a guy went past. A good-looking guy, as it was. A guy named Reid, though she didn’t know that. He sat near her on another lounger, and then he spoke. Before answering, she lazily turned so that she was lying on her stomach, arms crossed on front of her with her head atop them. Similar to the way Aly was sitting on her brother right that minute, though Violet herself didn’t make the connection, and probably wouldn’t have wanted to, really. Girls on her brother was enough to make her puke.
She turned her head slightly to the side so that she could make eye contact with one of the new people, and replied, “Hey… I don’t believe we have.” She flipped a damp strand of hair over her shoulder with a light toss of the head. “My name’s Violet Brady. You are?” She was somewhat interested in this newcomer, yes. And no, it didn’t have anything to do with his body. Alright, maybe a little bit. He WAS hot, after all. You could hardly blame her for taking an interest…
But back to Caitie, down in the water. The female newcomer had approached her and Aimee, and she smiled at her again, replying, “Hi, Miley. My name’s Caitriona Brady, and I’m a Fina.” Though you probably wouldn’t believe it. “Hey,” she went on, hoping to get the two girls’ attention. “We need some more fun down here. I have a beach ball, over there. I’ll just get it.” She turned slightly, and yelled out, “Someone throw me the ball!”
Jason resisted bellowing back, ‘Fuck off, lazy bitch, get it your damn self’ as he would have usually, due to the dozing girl on his front, and instead stuck a finger up at his sister from behind Aly, so that she couldn’t see and it wouldn’t really disturb her. Caitie saw, however, as it was aimed at her, and then scowled at Jace, before childishly sticking her tongue out. She got no response at all from Violetta, which caused her to yell a bit louder.
“Violet! VIOLETTA ROSABELLE BRADY!!” Still nothing, as the blonde was somewhat preoccupied waiting for an answer from Reid.
“SLUTTY MCLAZYBITCH.”
Now THAT got her attention. Letting out an annoyed little huff, Violetta stomped off the lounger and went to the one upon which were all the Brady belongings. She snatched the orange beach ball, decorated to look like an actual orange, and threw it hard at the pool, not particularly who it hit - if it hit anyone at all - before laying delicately back onto her own lounger, and glancing at Reid with a roll of her eyes. Damn, she’d had to help somebody. That sucks.
The beach ball itself bounced hard of the head of, well… three guesses. Yep, Finn. You got it in one. It bopped off of his head with a gentle noise and Caitie caught it well, laughing at Finn’s face. His jaw was clenching and unclenching, and he let out a very high-pitched growl, staring daggers at his blonde sister on her lounger. Man. Things really weren’t looking up for him today. People just seemed to want to bash him with beach balls or pull down the material covering the real- you get the idea. Things sucked today.
Rolling her eyes at ‘Finnie’s’ apparent anger, Cait turned back to her newer friends. “Wanna play?” she asked with a grin, moving her hands so that the ball spun between her fingers.

She laughed a little and said,"Nah. That's just a lie..." Her smile faded a little as she said,"We're really not all that smart. Probably make more bad choices than anyone else, and instead of you Lioanos and getting yourselves hurt, we hurt others..." She stared off to the side for a moment before forcing a smile and a slightly cheery tone into her voice as she said,"And since when do bricks have brains, hmm? Last time I checked they were still inanimate..." She laughed a bit before letting her eyes close again, deciding that today the past wasn't going to bother her.
She laughed and said,"You know, I just might have to start calling him that now. It's catchy." She grinned and smiled sadly. "Yeah. He's been through a lot lately... He was in a coma before the Valentine's Day Dance, and he woke up then and surprised us all at the dance. It was great. Plus, it was his birthday, so it was equally great. As for the Head Girl, I don't know her very well. Mostly because I'm usually with Matt, Aly, and Faith, really. And when I'm not with them, I'm always with Alex." Her smile widened, and she wondered what he was doing right now. She wanted to see him, but that was going to have to wait until tonight. Right now, she was enjoying spending time with her new friends.
He grinned at her and said,"I'm sure I'd remember such a beautiful woman if we had... My name is Reid Danvers. It is most certainly my pleasure to make your acquaintance." He offered his hand to her as he stated his name, palm slightly facing up, but not quite fully. A little more diagonal. "And as much as I was dreading having to swim and sunbathe, I do believe you have changed my mind completely." He grinned and settled down even more, closing his eyes to the sun. He was silent for a few minutes, enjoying the warmth of the sun and the company he was in. He pulled out his wand and magicked up his sunglasses, putting them on before returning to his former position. "So, Violet, what brings you here on a day such as this?"
Miley smiled and said,"Ah. Then perhaps you've met my brother, Joseph? Oh, wait. You probably haven't... He spends most of his time either playing one of his instruments or studying..." She shrugged, watching as Cait was flipped off by her brother. She rolled her eyes at this, then watching as she yelled at Violet. She couldn't help but chuckle at the last name-calling. This, of course, caused Reid to lean forward and nose his sunglasses down, lifting an eyebrow as he waited for the return of his maiden in distress. Then she was back, and everything was great again. He grinned and replaced his shades, covering his gorgeous eyes before leaning back once more and relaxing completely.
Miley gasped as it hit Finn, covering her mouth with a hand and biting her lip to keep from grinning or laughing. Aimee laughed, but she did have the decency to cover her mouth and look apologetic. Miley looked at Finn and asked,"You okay? Hey, wanna join in? I promise I won't kill you with it." She smiled, and Aimee couldn't help it. She laughed hard now, head thrown back and eyes closed as she laughed helplessly, putting a hand on Cait's shoulder to keep her steady. Matt looked up and clapped a hand on Finn's shoulder as he passed, swimming over to the girls. "I'm in," he said. Aimee nodded, getting over her giggles, and said,"Me too." Miley smiled and agreed,"I suppose so. It could be fun..."

"You hurt others?" Jason asked, eyebrows raised to show that he obviously didn't see this girl ever really hurting somebody. Man, if only he knew. The male's eyes narrowed, and he couldn't help a smile at her comment. "Yeah, exactly. Violetta's barely a step up from inanimate." He glanced over to where she was near Reid, and snorted. "Talk about girl with a one track mind..." Yeah. Flirting with Reid. He could bet anything that he knew where he sister wanted that friendship to lead...
"I can just imagine a male's reaction if you actually called him that," Cait laughed. "You should so do it. In a public place." The girl listened to Aimee's description of what Jonathan had been through, and she cringed. It sounded really awful for him, but at least he was getting better, right? "That really sucks for him," she said, trying to best to imagine what it was like but probably couldn't get anywhere near to it. "And yeah; the Head Girl definitely hasn't got off to a good start with Jason."
Violetta raised her eyebrows and grinned at Reid, listening to his complimentary words. She adjusted her bikini top before she leaned over the space between the loungers to shake his hand, and she said, "A pleasure indeed." She chuckled slightly when he said that she'd changed his mind about coming down to the pool, and observed what a charmer he really was. The way he lay, the way he looked at her, the way he spoke and the words that he used. Pure charm. To be honest, it felt good to the girl not having to make such an effort to talk to someone, for once.
"Oh, you know, the usual," the blonde girl replied to Reid's question. "Sun. Water. Relaxation." She paused, and grinned. "Romance. Though the last seems quite scarce around here nowadays. At least, it did." Ah, hell, why shouldn't she flirt a little? He was hot. She was hot. They were hot, and they were chatting away. It was the perfect situation for some flirting, right?
"Hmm," Caitriona chewed on her lip, trying to place the name Joseph to a face. She couldn't really, and if she did know the male it would be a very hazy image. "I don't think I do know him, but I'll keep an eye out," she eventually said to the girl, nodding and offering her a smile. And if Jason's manner made her roll her eyes from the get-go, before she'd even properly met him, then Cait wondered what it would be like if the whole group stayed friends and hung out a lot. Jace was bound to begin to annoy her after a while; she was pretty, after all, and he wouldn't leave her alone. It was always the same.
Finn, of course, managed to see the funny side because this sort of thing happened to him all the time, and he smiled and glanced at Miley. "Hey, why not? I'll play." Then Aimee's laughter made him crack a smile, and then that turned to laughs to and he and Caitie laughed along with her. Oh, the joys of Finn and his accidents. Then everyone was saying that they'd play, and Violet called over from the lounger, "I'll watch." Jason, from his position under the trees, said, "I would watch, but I have better things to do."
Cait scowled at him, and snapped, "Who asked you?" Then she turned, holding the ball and said, "So, what are we playing?"
