Shuddering at the cool temperature of the passage outside - which, in summer, was slightly warmer than the other seasons - Alexander pulled Aimee into the hall by the hand, silently wishing that he'd grabbed his jacket from the chair as she had.
As usual, the flakes of snow were constantly drifting about, and Alex sat on a bench at the Lioano table, gesturing for his Intermise girlfriend to sit beside him. Sure, they were house tables, but who really cared less about that?
"Alright, mate?"
Alexander looked to his left, and saw that he had sat himself next to a familiar face. Adam McElroy, a blond haired, fellow seventh year Lioano was next to him, grinning. Alex nodded in reply. Adam, one eyebrow raised accusingly, spoke again.
"I heard you come in last night, Al. Pretty late, don't you think? Oh, and dude, I was trying to sleep! You made an awful lot of noise for one person... Slamming doors, and all... And to think I had the room next to you... I could hear everything! Luckily, everything went silent pretty quickly. You go to sleep, mate?" He said everything with a smirk on his face, and a glint in his eye.
Alexander rolled his eyes coolly, but glanced in Aimee's direction nonetheless. "Trying to sleep, were you?"

Aimee sat down beside him, looking at the boy on his other day curiously. Who was he? Ah well, she guessed she'd find out soon enough.
She smiled at their conversation, not taking much part in it. She was fine with sitting at the Lioano table instead of the Intermise one. I mean, she didn't know anyone in Intermise yet, so she was perfectly fine sitting here. She waited quietly for something to be directed at her.

"As a matter of fact, I was." Adam, looked at Aimee, blue eyes playfully curious. "Is this your... friend?" He asked Alex, letting out a soft laugh.
"Girlfriend, actually," Alex replied rather sharply, watching his Lioano friend closely. Adam nodded knowingly and said, "Ah, yes. I'm Adam. I'm Alex's annoying little Lioano friend." He held out his hand to her, the little green tattoo of the Kenmare Kestrels badge on the back of his hand, just at the bottom of his thumb easy to see.
"Your name is, pretty?" He said this in a teasing way, one which caused Alexander to look at him, eyebrows raised in a way that almost said, 'Don't worry, I'll punch you later'.

She laughed at his question, seeing Alex's reaction.
She took his hand and said,"It's a pleasure to meet you, Adam. I'm Aimee." She smiled, catching the look. She stopped herself from grinning or laughing.

"The pleasure is all mine..." Adam held her gaze for a moment longer, before letting her hand drop and yelling at someone down the table, asking whoever it was if they could kindly chuck him the fruit salad.
Alex looked up and down the table himself, and asked Aimee, "God, what are you supposed to eat for lunch? I never have lunch... Just breakfast then dinner... Do you?"

She smiled and looked at Alex as he spoke.
"Well, I do have lunch on some occasions, usually the days that I skip breakfast... Let's see..." She looked at the selection. "Well, there's fruit salad. There's sandwhiches. There's French fries. There's real salad... There's cheeseburgers. There's grilled cheeses..." She looked at him and asked,"What do you like?"
She grabbed a plate and got a fruit salad, smiling slightly. She then got some French fries and ketchup and grabbed a grilled cheese. She poured herself some apple cider and looked at Alex again, grinning.

Alex thought Aimee quite lucky as she got the last fruit salad pot.
There was a massive bowl full of the fruity salad anyway, but, unluckily, the one Adam had been calling to had taken him quite seriously when he said, "Chuck me," and had partially thrown the bowl. Half the contents landed over the Lioano's lap, and the remaining bit landed in his dish, as well as all over the table. The blond haired guy's face was priceless, and Alex let out a splutter of laughter.
"There was fruit salad, you mean," Alexander corrected Aimee, reaching for the fries. "I think I'll just stick with these and a cheeseburger. And a healthy carton of milk, of course."

Aimee found herself laughing as fruit salad went everywhere, mostly on Adam. She looked at Alex.
"Yes, there was fruit salad..." She dug her spoon into hers as she grinned, shaking her head slightly. She pulled the spoon to her mouth, holding a strawberry. She ate it and set the spoon back into the bowl, chewing and swallowing. She sipped from her apple cider before returning to her fruit salad.

"He's an idiot, no doubt," Alex said, and Adam stared at him indignantly, while flicking bits of fruit off of his soaking trousers. "-But a good guy, nonetheless." Adam nodded, and said sarcastically, "So are you, you heartless womanizer." Alex gave him a light, teasing shove.
Guys.
Alex picked up a piece of strawberry that had floated to the edge of his plate in it's little juice river, and bit into it. "Mm. Lovely."

She laughed and said,"I bet, but he seems to be a pretty good guy underneath all of that." She grinned.
She ate another strawberry and said,"Yes, they are. Very."

Adam woke up from his sleep, looking over at the alarm clock. Damn. It was noon. He wanted to be up about 5 hours ago. He grunted, rubbing his eyes sleepily. Man, he might have reconsidered finishing off an entire six-pack, and entire pack of cigarettes, and popping the sleeping pills. He groaned as he sat up, his head feeling heavy. He grabbed his wand, muttering a spell. His headache instantly disappeared, and he was wide awake. Okay, well, maybe that wasn't the greatest idea of the century, because as soon as the headache was gone, his thoughts from the previous night came rushing back. He put his head in his hands and closed his eyes, trying to block it all out. It was impossible. He simply couldn't. He growled and gave up, getting to his feet.
He went to the mirror. He was wearing black boxers and a gray t-shirt, so he really needed to put on some real clothes. He went over to his wardrobe, digging through it. He found a nice pair of black pants and slipepd them on. He then pulled off the t-shirt and pulled on a dark green t-shirt with the design on the front. He put on socks and his black shoes, slipping on his black jacket, leaving the collar unbuttoned so it hung loosely at the sides. He got to his feet after tying his shoes and grabbed his wand, stuffing it into his pocket. He combed his hair quickly, stiffling a yawn. He refilled Cian's food bowl and used his wand to give him water, replacing his wand in his pocket after he finished. He was hungry, so he decided to head down to breakfast. He unlocked the door and walked out into the hallway.
He then made his way down the stairs, heading for the dining hall. Well, that was just one way of putting it. It actually had a name, but he really didn't care enough to remember it or use it. It was the place where they ate. What was the point in giving it any other name, much less actually using it? Ah, but that was beside the point. He walked into the hall, going to sit at the Lioano table. There weren't too many seats left, so he chose one beside a blonde boy (Adam). He hadn't met anyone else in his house. Well, besides Felicia. But that was another point entirely. He didn't know any of the guys, much less who was next to him or anything. He had just gotten there yesterday, for crying out loud! How was he supposed to know who was who just yet? He wasn't, and he didn't.
He reached for a cheeseburger, thinking it would do since there were no chicken cordon bleus. Ah, but he'd be fine. This would do. He put some French fries on his plate and a small bowl of ranch sauce to dip them in. He then pulled out his wand and conjured a black bottle, filled with Corona, but there were no labels on it. Hey, he had his ways. It was magiced to look like a bottle of Dr Pepper to anyone else's eyes except his own, and it would smell like Dr Pepper to anyone else. He took a large gulp, setting it down again. He then started to eat his cheeseburger, taking a few bites before he moved to the fries. He didn't eat everything at once, and he usually drank something after he finished eating. But not always. He listened boredly to the conversation coming from his left. He had his usual 'don't fuck with me' expression on, and he was silent as he ate.

"Thank you!" Adam stood up, causing a few more bits of fruit and juice to fall from his sticky trousers. He turned around to Alex, who immediately choked on his strawberry with laughter again, and said, looking down at the wet patch, "Now this looks attractive, do you not think?"
Alex nodded convincingly, and Adam said he'd be back in a bit. "Probably gone to change his trousers," Alex muttered. He turned to Aimee."Can't have anybody seeing him like that, can he?" He grinned.
He finished off the strawberry, vaguely noticing the person that had been revealed to have been seated behind Adam.
{Man, they remind me of Harry and Ron xD But just much hotter versions. xDDDD}

Aimee laughed and said,"Oh yes, very attractive indeed." She, too, noticed the person who had been seated beside Adam. She had never met him, but she didn't feel like simply introducing herself. He seemed to be in a pretty back mood.
She looked back at Alex. "So what do you think of lunch?" She grinned, eating a French fry.
Adam looked at the guy on his left as he stood up, seeing bits of fruit bounce to the floor and roll about slightly before falling still. He looked back up at him, seeing the wet spot on his pants and hearing him say he'd be back after making a joke or two. He then looked at the two on the other side of him, a boy and a girl. Apparently dating. Pfft. Who needed relationships? They were just a distraction. Even a simple friendship was just a distraction. One could say that Adam wasn't the best optimistic you've ever seen... He took a bite of his cheeseburger moodily, thinking of the fools at this school. Sadly, he would have to deal with them for now...
