She laughed and said,"Well, sorry to say, that didn't work out for you." She smiled, feeling his fingers caressing her cheek. She'd never really had anyone do that to her, but it felt pretty good, and she didn't mind. She just smiled at him.
Kai was definitely a handsome guy. Not one of those guys you feel are too good for you, but one of those guys that you just think about how lucky you are to hav met them. She did feel lucky, and she enjoyed being with him, even running her fingers through his hair. Everything just felt so much more peaceful, and she didn't want that to end.

He groaned softly into his arm which he had drapped over his mouth. "Faith...your kill'n me!" his voice muffled into his arm. It was one of those backwards sentances. Where it really ment keep doing that, instead of her actually killing him. After laying there for a few minutes, just staring up at her. He sat up a little, proping himself up on an elbow. He turned his head and looked at her. His green eyes were full of longing.. Rest assured it was nothing R rated. Kai just felt like any other guy would fell after laying his head in some girls lap and staring up at her. He wouldn't dare touch her though.
Other girls he would probably already been having a full make out session by now. Faith was different, he didn't want her to be pressured into anything like that. I guess you could say, he wanted to keep her around. He didn't want her to be some fling that he would forget about the next day. He wanted her friendship. "Faith...you really are killing me" he said softly. "I don't want you to ever think I'm a jerk or anything...but I am going to be honest, just a second ago...I felt like kissing you" There he goes again, be quite blunt and forward about things. He couldn't help it, she made him want to tell her everything. He wanted to confide in her. All he could wonder was, what the hell is wrong with him? He had never in his life felt this way about a girl. He didn't want to scare her away.
O.o.c// Man, I always come up with stuff like that when I am stumped on how to respond for too long. >.<''

She smiled slightly, getting the double meaning. When he sat up and looked at her, she looked at him. When he said he didn't want her to think of him as a jerk or anything, but he wanted to kiss her just a second ago, she was a little shocked. Mostly because no one had ever said that or implied that in her life, but also because, in some way, she had wanted that too.
Finally, she managed to say,"You did?" It was soft, more asking why he wanted to do that, but she didn't say that. Instead, feeling as thought she needed to be honest with him, and she could, she continued,"Well... That makes two of us, then..." She just looked at him, into his green eyes, as though surprised she had actually just said that.

For a second, he dreaded that she was going to bolt. However, when she confessed that next thing to him, he could help but smile. "Well, I hope you still feel that way, because.." He didn't finish his sentance, because he had slowly been leaning toward her. His lips gently connected with hers. He did it softly, his lips bearly touching hers. He was almost testing the waters, if you know what I mean. He pulled away, his green eyes opening to see her reaction.
He had tried to kiss her as gently as possible, due to her face when she had heard him say earlier that he wanted to kiss her. He had a feeling she hadn't been kissed many times, so he tried to make it the softest kiss he could. "I hope I wasn't being a jerk" He said quietly.

When he began speaking, she smiled slowly, noting the sentence trailing off. She felt his lips barely brush hers, as her eyes had closed just before. She opened them as he pulled away, her brown ones meeting his green ones.
She smiled at his next words and said,"No, you weren't being a jerk. You could never be a jerk..." It was soft, like his own voice, and quiet. She just looked into his eyes, rather amazed and very much happy.

He smiled "Thanks, I was afraid you were going to bolt on me" He admitted, grinning rather sheepishly. He pushed his blonde hair from his green eyes. He sat up and shifted so that he was sitting beside her. His shoulder pressed up against hers. One leg was sticking straight out, the other bent. His one arm resting on his knee. With his other hand he ran his fingers through her hair again. He really did like her hair.

She laughed a little and said,"No. I would never bolt on you..." She smiled at him, feeling his fingers running through her hair. Her smile widened. That really did feel pretty good.

He couldn't help it, a tear fell from his right eye. He was smiling though, something in his eyes brightened. That was exactly what Kai needed to hear. Maybe he got such problems with seperation and abandonment from people coming in and out of his life like no tomorow. Perhapes he just needed soemone to stop and say something like that.
"I'm sorry, I'm worse then a girl when it comes to emotions" He said, chuckling as his hand came up to brush his tear away. "That was really nice of you to say though...you've been so nice to me Faith" He leaned over and hugged her, his arms wrapping around her, his forehead pressed onto her shoulder. He squeezed her slightly, then let go. His arms going back to his sides, and his hands clasped in front of him. "Again..sorry. I get a little clingy"

She noticed the tear, but he was smiling, so she didn't get the concerned look on her face. Instead, she had that slightly confused but rather touched look as he spoke. When he wrapped his arms around her, she wrapped her own around his and rested her head on his shoulder. He pulled away, and she smiled at his words. "That's okay. It kinda reminds me of my brother, in a good way. He's always there for me, gives me hugs all the time. He just protects me, so it's a good thing." She looked at him and smiled, brushing his hair out of his eyes so she could see them clearly again.

He smiled, a soft little one that tugged at the corners of his mouth, as she brushed his hair from his eyes. Their green souls glanced right back into her's. He looked around himself, as if he just realized they were sitting in the library. One of his eyebrows raised, he then turned his gaze back to Faith.
"I take it back, your not just cool, your ah-mazing" He was being funny, the way he said amazing was just him being funny. His nose wrinkled for a momment, then he smiled. "I need people like you to be around me...it makes me feel, happier," he said. "Sometimes I feel so worthless, I may not act like it, but its rather silly of me of course. I hurt inside and I don't know why, I can't even recall what started it" He said, his eyes downcast. "You make me forget about it with your kindness though" He looked back up, his blonde bangs had fallen back into his green eyes again.

She laughed at the way he said amazing, smiling at him. He looked back up and she smiled, brushing his hair out of his eyes again. She looked into his beautiful green eyes and said,"I'm glad I make you forget about it. You shouldn't feel worthless or hurt inside. You deserve better than that..." She smiled and said,"You amaze me at how I just feel so comfortable around you. You're so sweet, and you can make me laugh so easily." She rested her head against his shoulder, smiling and saying,"I'm glad I met you... Really glad."

He smiled, and put his arm around her as she leaned her head on his shoulder. He put his forhead on her head, breathing in the her scent. The smell of her shampoo. "What ever you wash your hair with..I love it" He said, his voice muffled in her hair. What was that? He breathed in again, there was a little vanilla in there he was sure. There was something else too though. He frowned, he be damned he couldn't figure it out.
"A penny for your thoughts" He said, using an old phrase that he had always thought quite witty since the person never really gave a penny for them.

She smiled, feeling his arm around her. She was quite comfortable like this, actually. She laughed slightly as he mentioned her hair, and a penny for her thoughts. Quite a funny phrase, really. "What do I wash my hair with?" She paused thoughtfully and said,"Well, I use this vanilla and brown sugar stuff. It smells really good, but I didn't know you could still smell it in my hair." She smiled and said,"What about you?" Hey, his hair smelled really good, too. She wasn't losing her sense of smell...
