Alec had rushed to the hospital wing, trying to keep the two boys as still as possible. One had woken up, and he had mumbled something about where were they, but he had told him to stay still. It was the other one. Not the bloody one, but the other one. It was Professor MacKeltar's cousin. Damn. This was really bad. His thoughts kept ending up on Darien, but he forced himself to think about these two kids. He would go back for his brother later. So much for family first...
He flicked his wand at the hospital wing door, rushing the two floating beds into the room and himself. He then shouted,"We need help out here! Now!" He managed to get the two boys onto the hospital beds, looking around for the healer. The MacKeltar boy groaned and tried to sit up, but he forced him back down. He seemed to be a little hurt, and he had some nasty cuts on his head. He looked around, hoping the Healer would get here fast.
((That's your cue, Katie darling! =D))

Who the hell was yelling at this time at night?
Emilia had just about managed to fall asleep on the stiff chair in her office, only to be woken once more about three seconds later. Was someone hurt? Confused and annoyed, she stumbled to her office door. She was hardly dressed professionally; it was night. The best she could do was a pair of low, creased jeans and a crinkled red vest top, both of which she'd grabbed off of a chair. She didn't usually keep many clothes in this office.
Grumbling a little, she soon came along Alec with his two injured boys. Her dark eyes shot open in shock, and she hurried forward, all irritation from before gone. Her wand came out immediately, and she said quite sharply, "Put that one on a bed." She was gesturing vaguely toward Adam, and Cal she took care of with a flick of the wand.
"Can you take care of the cuts on his head with a couple of spells while I deal with this one?" she asked, looking pointedly at Adam. It was more of an order than anything else; she couldn't take care of these on her own. Quickly, she pulled away any of Cal's clothes from the smaller gashes and took care of them with a few simple, weak healing spells which she hoped Alec knew of. Oh, if only Adeline was here... wait. Adeline. If this teacher had been on the scene of whatever had happened... you could bet Adeline had, too.
As she dashed across the room to grab a couple of potions, pastes and herbs, she asked offhandedly, "Have you seen Adeline?" Then, hoping that he had and that her friend was alright, she rubbed a few drops of a bright orange potion into one of Cal's large cuts. It closed up immediately, but there was still a long scab that could break easily, and Emilia wrapped a large bandage around it. She sighed. "He's going to be a little scarred... I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."
She glanced over at Alec. "So... what happened?"
{She'll check out Adam a bit later; she just needs to find out what's going on.}

Red. The colour stained her hand. A wave of bile and acid rose up in her mouth, pouring out over the floor.Now she was covered in blood and vomit. Not great.
It was so dark. So cold. Alone on the floor, the tangled duvet still wrapped round her shivering legs. The cool feeling of cotton against skin was the only thing keeping Lissie from pinching herself until the dream moulded into the standard scream and sitting up in bed, drenched in sweat. Her eyes were closed, not wanting to look, not wanting to believe or see the exact damage. No, she would manage for now with her imagination, which would suffice just fine.
But it wasn't helping her. By the constant drip of wet on her slack hand, her injury wasn't getting better. On the contrary, judging by the pain, it was getting worse. It was time for action, time for her to get off the damn floor and get help, tell someone. Lissie almost laughed at her stupidity. How could no one else in the castle not know?
But then why was it silent? Surely not everyone was sharing the same fate as her room mates. She couldn't be alone...The pain seared as she shifted, curling her legs underneath her and bracing herself. In a swift, silent movement, she was standing. She wobbled, closing her eyes and gripping the wall, the room spinning wildly around her.
She coughed again, feeling something spatter out of her mouth, something with the taste of bitter iron. Lissie groaned. She had to get help, god knows how bad a condition she was in.
The corridors were empty, so no one saw the 16 year old making her slow and painful way to the hospital ward. But when she got there, it was all too much. She keeled, her legs buckling, and she fell to the floor. She groaned, coughing up more blood, then she was still, out for the count.

Post by Domitan MacKeltar on Oct 16, 2006 18:45:41 GMT -5
Dom had made it to the hospital wing with the three girls in tow, but his thoughts were all on Adam, Ana, and Cal. They were his family, and he planned to keep them safe. He just prayed they had been safe through all of this. He had almost missed the young girl by the door as he was caught up, and he managed to stop in time to scoop her up as he came in. "Yeah, sorry to interrupt, but we have more emergencies here..."
He hurried the three girls into the room, putting the three on stretchers on beds first and then laying the last (Lissie) on another bed. He then turned to the healer, deciding to answer the questions, since Alec had moved on to working on a boy and hadn't answered. "Death Eaters, to put it simply. They attacked the Lioano students. I don't know who is injured, or even how the professors are doing. I was unable to stay for much longer, seeing the emergency of these three. I found that one passed out at the door." He gestured to the last one at the last remark.
He managed to get a look at the two boys, and his mouth parted in shock. It was Adam and Cal. His feet moved towards them, looking first at Adam then at Cal. "Oh... God... No..." He was having problems getting his mouth to work, and he looked at the Emilia. "Are they going to be okay?" There was a slight desparation in his voice, and he must have caught it, for he quickly added,"Is there anything I can do to help you?"

Alec moved to take care of Adam's cuts, making sure he was slow and it was done properly. He heard Domitan enter, and he looked up, seeing four girls. Oh, man. This was not looking good. They were a very bloody mess. He sighed and looked up as Elizabeth entered. She brought three boys: Alex Aindrea, Adam McElroy, and Kai Soudai. (Saying Kai's on a stretcher, even if he wasn't hurt, and she knocked him out with a spell or something. xD)
Elizabeth placed the three boys on beds and looked around, seeing the damage. She felt herself almost losing it all over the place. She found the garbage can and puked. It wasn't the blood that did it, really. She wasn't sure what was going on. She'd seen blood, sure not like this, but it had never bothered her. She shrugged it off, moving closer to the beds. She looked at Emilia. "What can I do to help you? There are too many for just one person..." Indeed, there were, and there was bound to be more on the way...

Oh, God. It had been alright before. But now... the people were coming in hordes, and Emilia was feeing a little nervous. Since she'd been at the school, she'd dealt with little more than scraped knees and twisted ankles. It wasn't that she couldn't do this - she had to, she was trained to - just that she hadn't.
Breathing deeply, she turned to Domitan, shaking. "I hate it when people ask me that," she said, but replied anyway, referring to Cal. "He was hurt pretty badly, but if we can close up all his cuts, pray he hasn't lost too much blood and stop him loosing anymore, he should pull through." She nodded slowly, then touched the man's arm, pulling him forward and speaking again, gesturing toward Cal. "Now; take that orange potion there and gently rub it into any more of his cuts that you can find. For the ones you can take care of with a wand, don't use my potion; it's pretty expensive. If the potion doesn't make the cut disappear completely, just forming a scab over the top, wrap a bandage around it, to make sure that it doesn't bleed. Got it? Once you're done, change him into these." She passed him a pair of white hospital pajamas. "To make sure nothing gets infected from his dirty clothes," she explained.
She turned away, and went to the bed with Lissie on it, to try and figure out how badly injured she was. The girl was covered in blood and vomit, and Emilia drew a curtain around her bed, then changed Lissie into a clean, white hospital night gown. She cleaned around the girl's mouth, making sure she could breathe, then left a bin on either side of her bed in case she was sick again. Emilia couldn't think of much to do with this girl, as she didn't know what was wrong with her - although she suspected some kind of poison, by the way Lissie was reacting -, so just left her for a while, until she woke up and told them what happened to her. The curtains were pulled back, now that she was dressed.
Emilia rushed to the bed with Felicia on, and began to peel any of her clothes that covered gashes back. She was sticky with blood, and Emilia couldn't help but cringe as she grabbed another bottle of the orange potion. This girl's injuries were bad, and it seemed that the potion wasn't closing them. But there were more people coming in, and Emilia turned to Elizabeth, who had spoken to her previously. "There is, actually. You don't mind blood, do you?" she paused, giving her time answer, but continued anyway. "I just need you to try and fix up this girl's gashes, with the orange potion, and bandages. Like he is, look, like I told him to." She gestured at Dom. "And, if you could just keep an eye on the sleeping girl (Lissie), too, and call me if she wakes up."
Emilia moved to Adam McElroy's bed, and noted the bruise on his forehead. His eyes fluttered open, and flicked around the room in panic. "What- where am I-" He stuttered nervously, staring around the room, now sitting up. Emilia gently pushed him back down, and he went, feeling dizzy. She smiled reassuringly, saying, "Shh, it's alright. You're in the Hospital Wing. Does anything hurt?" Adam shook his head in reply, blinking, and said, "Nothing apart from my head." Emilia nodded, clearly pleased. "That's good. Now," She paused to glance over at Alex. "what happened to your unconscious friend?"
Adam coughed to clear his throat, and said weakly, "I woke, and there were all the Death Eaters and screams and stuff. I got away from my Death Eater, and rushed into Alex's room. He was being tortured, then I got hit by something, and knocked down. I must have hit my head because... I can't remember anything else." Emilia nodded slowly again, then glanced over at Alex again. She knew he would wake up soon; and his bones would ache.

Lissie was lying in her bed. It was peacefu, quiet. Then a door slammed opened, 3 flashes of green light, 3 screams. Well, technically, four screams. Because a 16 year old Lissie lying in a hospital bed, sat up in bed, shaking as she let out one scream. She covered her mouth, doubled over in pain. But everything stayed inside her. Almost. As her hand came away, she caught the sight of blood on her hand. This time, her stomach stayed where it was, as if she was used to seeing the fact that she was bleeding from the inside,somehow.

Before she even opened her eyes, Charlie knew she was in the Medical Wing, and she knew it was bad. A small sob escaped her lips - everything hurt so much. She felt freezing, but so warm at the same time. She could feel blood on her face, and scratches on her shoulders were August had dug her nails in, forcing her to watch....
"FELICIA!" the cry flew from her lips, and she was sitting up before she realized it. Big mistake. Agony clenched her whole body like an iron vice, and she doubled over, gasping. She couldn't see very well when the pain subsided again. Charlie slid from her bed, and knelt beside the bed next to her, when Felicia lay. The girl on the bed was bloody, and cut, not moving either, but it was definitely her darling friend, and she was safe. They were in the Hospital Wing, they were safe. Charlie gently took the unconscious girls hand....and let out a terrible wail.
"Sh-She cold!" she said, green eyes widening in horror. Her voice became panicked as she started checking for a pulse, for a breath, for any sign of fickle life, "She's cold, Healer she not breathing! Oh Jesus, oh fuck! Healer, Healer she's not breathing! Help, somebody please, don't let her die...please..."

Alexys couldn't really remember much about how he got to the Medical Wing. All he knew was that Prof. Edwards had saved his life, and told him to go. Taking the mans advice, he dashed - or more staggered - off to the hospital. He pushed the doors open, wand still clenched tightly in one hand, the other hand trying to stem a steady stream of blood that was trickling from his nose.
"Em, excuse me...someone....I was wondering if...if...if someone could help me, please," he began. It was quite a peculiar sight to behold, the seventeen year old standing in the doorway, swaying dangerously, fresh bruises on his neck and an old bruise on his chest, speaking quite calmly despite the fact he'd just been attacked and was still wearing his ridiculously bright green pajama bottoms, "Could you...could you thank Professor Edwards when he gets here - 'cause he's injured badly, I think, I...I...Think...Well, he saved my life....An' one more thing....Where's Serphius?"
And with that, he quite simply sank to the floor, stone cold unconscious.

Since when does the world spin so? Amber eyes stared upward at the ceiling, because focusing on anything else was nearly impossible. When the earth stopped its silly rotations in her mind, and her vision cleared she started to feel the dull ache in her pelvis area. Adrenline only erases the pain for so long, much like drinking alchohol. She finally realized she was in the Hospital Wing, and many bloodied up kids were entering. For a moment a grin spread over her face, so the attack had been successful? However, as her arm smarted where it was broken halfway up the bone, and she moved to look the other direction and she found the wave of pain from her twisted pelvis her anger reared its head.
"Those fucking idiots...get it straight next time!" she screamed, every bit sounding like she was hallucinating. Espeacially since no one else except perhaps Adam Mackeltar knew what she was talking about. Phoenix knew she was supposed to be a little banged up to throw suspicion off, but twisting her pelvis, giving her a concussion, breaking her arm, and scratching up her heart shaped face was TOO far. She grasped her pillow with her unhurt hand, and pushed it up against her face, moaning into it and having a fit of frusteration and anger. She just hoped that she had killed that Death Eater that had done this to her, because if she didn't she sure would give him quite the fiery death later. "Assholes..." she muttered, throwing her pillow on the floor. It seemed she wasn't the only dramatics going on, and so the small fourteen year old probably went unnoticed. Whatever. She lay back against the wall behind her bed, and curled her nose as pain shot up her leg and into her hip.

Post by Lareina Darcy on Oct 21, 2006 5:59:41 GMT -5
Death Eaters had swarmed the Lioano common room, as well as the corridors near it, by the time Lareina reached them, despite how much she hoped that both would be empty. She managed to race past any major threats, and only got caught a couple of times. When she reached the Hospital Rooms she was out of breath, and the world was spinning and becoming clouded with black.
Pushing open the door, Lareina stumbled inside, only to trip straight away over the body of a certain Alexys Prso that was on the floor in a heap. She landed on her hands, thankfully causing no further damage to herself or the boy, but rolled onto her back on the cool, white, clean floor and closed her eyes. At least she was relatively safe, at last.
"Lareina? Lareina Darcy?" Lareina tried to block out the noises of the adult Healer, along with the piercing sound of a girl screaming, another squealing desperately about her friend and the various moans from other patients in pain. She did move, though, when Emilia caught her by the arms and pulled her up into a standing position, whispering, "Lareina, dear... Are you hurt?"
Was she hurt... well, apart from a headache that was so bad she thought her head would explode, no. So she shook her head, and Emilia continued. "Then I need you to go and talk to that girl. Try and find out her name, what happened to her and how we can make her better." Lareina looked over wearily at the girl (Lissie) curiously, then nodded. She was tired and confused, and would have done what anyone told her, but couldn't help asking weakly, "Where- where're my sisters? Adeline, an'... an'... Emerald?" It was one of the first times Lareina had forgotten to spitefully call her sister Charlotte.
Emilia shook her head sadly, and whispered, "I don't know. But I don't think the Fina students were attacked tonight. I can't be sure, though, but... let's hope, eh?" Then, the Healer left Lareina and rushed over to Felicia's bedside, unable to help the panic rising in her body. She flapped Charlie's hands away as quickly as she could without being rude, and checked for Felicia's pulse; she found none. Listened for breath; found none. Cast various spells on her; found no sign of life. Breaths coming quickly and panicky, Emilia turned to Elizabeth once. "You teach Defence Against the Dark Arts, right? Try some spells and anything you can to find life in her, and if you do..." She paused. "Keep her alive and come find me."
Emilia went around to the other side of Felicia's bed, where Charlie was sat on the floor. She bent down beside the upset girl, and said, "I need you to get up and change into these if you can." More pyjamas were passed over. "When you have, get back into bed and stay there. I will treat you best, and when, I can." The girl looked pale and sick, her focus coming and going. Emilia suspected a strong Cruciatus Curse was the culprit. Before Charlie could argue, Emilia left in a hurry, her attention on a boy on the floor near the doors.
Oh, God... where was Adeline when you needed her? The Headmistress had always been good at calming people, giving them hope... and one of the things that these witches and wizards needed most was hope, especially at a time like this.
Emilia checked Lexi's pulse, and was relieved to find that he was alive. Just unconscious, thankfully. She levitated him to a spare bed in the back, and cleaned up his bloody nose. It looked badly broken to her, but she still need Lexi's story of what had happened to him to be sure, and waved her wand, muttering a spell that would surely bring him around. While he was waking up, she scurried across the room to get the potion that would fix that nose if his.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, Lareina had pulled a chair up to Lissie’s bed, giving her as pleasant a smile as she could manage, considering the night’s events and her own personality. She coughed a little into her hand, and then asked awkwardly, “Er… are you alright? What’s your name?” It wasn’t the warmest greeting, but Lareina was rather feeling like shit on a plate herself. You had to give it to her, though; at least she was trying, making an effort.
{*sighs* Not the best post. I’m really sick, as well as tired, so forgive me if I made mistakes. I’ll post with Adeline and Braeden next, when they bring in Darien.}

Post by Headmistress Adeline Darcy on Oct 21, 2006 7:17:34 GMT -5
The way down to the Hospital Wing for Braeden and Adeline was hard. Death Eaters had surrounded them several times on the way, only to be blasted back by the eager Braeden, ready to spill some Death Eater blood. Then, Adeline had almost collapsed on the stairs. But, despite all of this, they managed to reach the place with everyone alive, Darien still on his stretcher. They both paused when they reached the doors, and eventually, Brae asked, along with a wave of the free hand that didn't have a wand in it, "Could you...?" The question trailed away, but Adeline understood, and pushed open the door.
The sight that met her eyes made more stinging tears pour down her cheeks. Oh, her students, her poor, poor students... She caught sight of Emilia, and called her friend's name weakly. The Healer heard, and turned around, only to bark an impatient order at the Headmistress. "Adeline! You took your time getting here, didn't you?" She didn't notice the wound in Adeline's arm. "Get over here and fix up Mister Prso's nose!" Order came back into the previously faint Adeline, and she strode over to Lexi, wiping tears from her cheeks and waiting for the boy to wake.
Emilia went to Braeden, and said, "Andrews, I need you to keep an eye on the Aindrea lad; he's about to wake, I think, and he should be in some pain by the way he's been moaning in his sleep. Did you get hit by anything?" Braeden nodded, and told her the torture curses he had been hit by. She gave him a little potion bottle, then explained it. "That should take some of the pain away, for about three hours. Only take a little, and give it to the boy when he wakes up." She gestured at Alex, and Braeden, startled by the woman's bossiness - but slightly respecting her for the orderly attitude also - did what he was told, and went to sit by Alex's bed.
Levitating Darien's stretcher, Emilia placed him on a bed at the back. He was pale, but by the way his eyelids were fluttering, as well as his slow, steady pulse, she knew he was alive; but only just. He had been hit by some sort of numbing curse, and it seemed to be slowly shutting down his body. Emilia had only seen this a couple of times before - it was a rare thing to see, as the spell hardly ever properly worked - and was afraid she didn't have the potion to cure it. It would have to be a potion, as she hadn't heard the enchantment and couldn't - wouldn't - remember the counter curse. "How odd..." She couldn't help the murmured words leaving her lips.
His clothes didn't seem too bloody or dirty, and there was nothing to get infected, so Emilia simply pulled the bed covers over the Care of Magical Creatures teacher and rushed over to her store rooms. She searched frantically, ripping open boxes and finding nothing. In sheer desperation, she rushed back out and bellowed, "Braeden!" The Potions Master came running, and Emilia explained quickly that he had to brew up the potion to heal Darien. He shook his head, exasperated, and said, "I can't! That potion takes months and months to brew, and there's no way I can-" He was cut off as one of the arms he'd been waving - to get his point across - knocked a large glass vial of potion off it's low shelf.
Emilia jumped and flung out her hands, catching the glass object before it smashed, and turned it over to read the label, exclaiming angrily, "For God's sake, you nearly broke my... my... Oh sweet Merlin!" She held up the vial, which contained a clear, sparkling liquid, and squealed, "This is it! This is the potion!" She ran back into the Wing, and Braeden, rolling his eyes, went back to Alex's bedside. The Healer lifted Darien's head and gave him a little of the potion, smiling happily. This patient was going to be hard work, she knew; he probably wouldn't wake up for a while, and she'd have to keep an eye on him constantly. Adding to that, she had to give him a little of the potion every two hours, which would mean getting little sleep herself. It would be much easier when he awakened, and he could take the potion himself.
As well as that, though, Darien would be in extreme pain. The potion caused all of his nerves to feel as if they were burning - but really not doing any damage. It had to painful to force his body to feel again, but the pain would subside eventually, lessening every day, the more he took the potion. But it would be alright; he would have plenty of things to distract him from the pain, as Emilia was sure Adeline would visit him frequently, and he'd also have to plan his first lessons.
But it would be alright; everything would be alright.
{Okay, I don't know if I got his injury right, or the thing that could stop it, but I did my best, so... tell me if it's wrong and I shall change everything. xDD}

Post by Alexander Aindrea on Oct 21, 2006 12:45:45 GMT -5
Ah, sleep is so peaceful... Just floating about in the blackness, the time flashing past you, no pain, no suffering, no death. But you always have to wake up. There's always that awful moment when you first open your eyes, where you wonder what time it is, what the hell happened while you were asleep and where you are. Where you wonder who loves you, who hates you and who wants to kill you. Just that one moment, before the peace and quiet gets ruined by someone screaming, swearing or murdering, and you're back in the real world once more. The lovely, humane real world; not.
So when Alexander Aindrea woke in the Hospital Wing, the first thing he felt was a throbbing pain all over his body, as if his bones were vibrating in a steady rhythm; the first thing he heard was a mixture of shouts, cries and his own groans of pain as he struggled to sit up; and the first thing he saw was a concerned looking Potions Master peering down at him, standing out obviously against the painful white of the ceiling.
“Mister Aindrea?” Braeden’s deep voice bounced around Alex’s sore head, making feel like it was burning. The Lioano groaned, and propped himself up on his elbows as best he could. Brae passed him the potion, after he had taken a little himself, and Alex drank some too, before flopping backwards once more onto his pillow. He was strangely breathless, and just about managed to murmur, “Where- what…” He shook his head, confused. “What happened to me?” He remembered the sounds of other injured witches and wizards surrounding him. “Uh, I mean… what happened to us?”
Braeden coughed a little, wondering where to start. “The house of Lioano was attacked,” he eventually said. “Both boys’ and girls’ dormitory. I don’t know if any are dead, but a lot are injured. But, as far as I know, there are only Lioano students hurt. Nowhere else has been touched. We defeated several Death Eaters, but several escaped.” He glanced down. Alex was shocked. He couldn’t remember much, really. It was good to know that only Lioano was attacked, though Aimee was alright, and… and… Adam. Where was Adam? Alexander had a rushing feeling of gratitude towards the boy, although the reason why was quite unclear.
{OK, I just posted… because I was bored. =D}
