"Shut up. Do you know what that means? Didn't think so. Doubt you can do it, either. Pity. And, no, I don't think I'm letting a potential danger to the school and it's students stay on the loose, whether the thing is fake or not. And don't worry about me making a fool of myself if it IS a fake. Headmistress Darcy will understand my fears perfectly, I assure you." Belle turned on her heel and stalked towards the exit, her wand held in front of her. She brushed past Charlie, shooting her a glare at her.
The edge of a crate caught Mirabelle's leg when she was past Charlie, and she gave it a kick. The wooden box tipped onto it's side, cracking and spilling cockroaches all over the space that was now between herself and Charlie. She gave a squeal and stepped back, toward the door. Luckily, she was quite near it, unlike Adam and Sonata; they had cockroaches or a row of shelves to face. There were boxes all around them.
Adam stared at Mirabelle as she turned to the door, and he shouted, "Don't you dare! Mirabelle... help us get rid of the bugs!" He grabbed a piece of wood and swung it at the roaches, hitting a few and sending them flying into surrounding crates.

"Oh shut the FUCK up!" Charlie snarled, drawing out her wand. She leveled it, and spat a curse. A particularly large cockroach near Mirabelle's leg burst into flames and vanished in a curl of dark gray smoke, "You will stay, and you will clean up your mess! Oh - and you can drop the God damned attitude while you're at it!"
Charlie set about exterminating the disgusting bug with an amusing mixture of curses, spells, and lots of stamping. If only there was a plague of cockroaches for every foul mood...

Belle's normally sweet, if rather snobby, face changed, and she spat back, "I will not! I don't take orders from anybody, especially you, you stupid little bitch! Don't you dare even try to tell me what to do, I will not be intimidated by your foul language!"
This time she really did turn on her heel, and when she reached the door, which had been open and shining light inside, she spun around and yelled back at Charlie, "And, while I'm at it, I might as well say that YOU need to opt for an attitude change, as well as buying something to cover your bottom half! It's freezing out there!"
Mirabelle then flew through the door, slamming it behind her and plunging the room into complete darkness, apart from Adam, who was simply standing there and giving Charlie light while she went on murdering every bug in the room.

Charlie gave an outraged yell of frustration, and anger, and went a little bezerk for a moment, before coming to a crescendo by totally battering a box off the wall by kicking it. Slowly, she stilled, scowling.
"If it is a Hand of Glory...." Charlie said, "It's useless unless you happened to have some random dead murderer's body fat hanging around. You know what - I'm going to keep that bloody hand, and show that cow right up!"

By this time, Mirabelle was halfway down the hall, heading out of the dungeons for the Headmistresses office. She didn't know that the Headmistress herself was currently in Professor Darien's office, asleep on his couch, but she would surely check all of the offices rather than give up.
Adam nearly dropped his wand when she kicked the box, and said, "Calm down! Don't let her aggravate you so! She's just a snobby know-it-all- WHAT?! YOU'RE GONNA KEEP IT?! No way, man. Look, it's not even a damn hand of glory or whatever." Taking a deep breath, he plunged his hand into the box, pulling out the skeleton hand. He shuddered, and said slowly, "See? Isn't it supposed to come to life and kill me?"

Charlie laughed as though he had said something very funny, and shook her head, "No, silly. It doesn't do anything like that! The Hand of Glory is the dried and pickled hand of a man who has been hanged. The Hand of Glory also reportedly has the power to unlock any door it comes across, aswell as immobilizing anyone in the house or building that the special candle placed in the hand has been lit in at the time. I used to have one. Great fun it was too."

Adam looked at it for a second, then back at Charlie. "Oh. Okay. So much for seven years of Defense Against the Dark Arts training." He thought for a second, before pulling the big, golden ring with the back stone in it off the hand. He flung the hand at Charlie. "Fine. There you go. We can tell Belle that we handed it in." He shrugged.
{Sorreh, short!}

"Mm, yeah. 'S fairly advanced, and pretty dangerous. Doubt the pussies here would even think of teaching about teaching it...This school really quite sucks in that department. Durmstrang, on the other hand...Wouldn't mind going there." Charlie examined the hand that had just been tossed at her. She frowned. It didn't look anything like her hand that she used to have. It didn't have much flesh, or skin for one. But then again, she didn't know how old this one was - or if it even was a Hand of Glory. Hers was pretty fresh. She glanced up at Adam, a sly little smile playing on her lips, "Are you sure you want to take that ring? Well, on your head be it..." She laughed lightly.

"Yeah." He looked at the ring. "I might talk to Professor James about it. She's Defense Against the Dark Arts, after all, and she might be able to tell me how old it is, how much it's worth, or even if it's cursed. It might curse you if you put it on your finger, or something." Adam put it in his pocket, and thought for a second.
"But... what if it's not a Hand of Glory? What if it's just a normal, skeletal hand? Ha, I just said that as if it really is normal... Anyway, if it is just a hand, that means it has to come from a body. That's in here. That was... murdered?"

"No, no teachers. I don't want to tell anyone. Well, not yet. And I agree with you. I think it is just a...normal hand." Charlie glanced up at Adam, then back at the gross hand, "Perhaps someone had and accident, or something! We just can go jumping to the darkest conclusions. Which, I know, is being slightly hypocritical of me, yeah..." Charlie smiled, and shrugged, "But things ain't always what they seem."

"I meant about the ring, not the hand." Adam said. "And yeah, I suppose, but it's still creepy in here. We should go. I hope Mirabelle's far away, because if you see her I'm afraid that I might be worrying about another murder..."
{WRONG DAMN ACCOUNT.}

Charlie clenched her jaw at the mention of Mirabelle. Seriously, that girl had her snobby little head so far up her own backside, she was starting to look like origami. Charlie nodded, looking around. The storeroom was quite creepy, wasn't that bad...She could always come back later, and snoop around. She returned her focus back to Adam with a small smile. "Yes, lets go. And don't say a word about any of this to any one, 'kay?"
Charlie made her way over to the door, and pulled it open, "Oh, jeez, Andrew's gonna have a party when he sees us..."
