Melody leaned into him. A total stranger. She was in desperate need of a friend, and possibly, here it was.
Hell. This ain't the way to do it...but, who said I have to stick to the rules!? F*ck the rules!
The girl placed her arms around his back. Only two days here and she was kissing a stranger!
What a vixen...
She looked up at him. "What now?" She asked coyly.\, yet there was a tinge of fear in her voice.

Sherry smiled and closed one of his eyes. His smug smile was back on his face.
"That, my dear, is completely up to you. I this point, I think we skipped at least seven steps in becoming friends and just became friends with minor benefits." He said with a nod.
And I just lost moral respect for myself for lack of self restraint, but I regained that and then some for actually pulling that sh*t off. Is it possible to give yourself a mental high-five?
"By the way, that is a really nice skirt."
Would it look better off? Okay, bad joke. I know. luckily we didn't mean it.
He smiled at himself and mussed up her hair a little.

Melody laughed slightly. "Stop mussing my hair!" she said lightly, laying a hand on his shoulder.
I believe that you are right. Friends with benefits are good...
She kissed him again lightly. "Should we get a drink?" she asked, keeping close to him in the throng of people. She looked at him, her grey eyes innocent.
Innocent? The hell with innocent!
"Oh, yes, thanks for the comment on the skirt. Now, I do know you wanna get into it..." She giggled.

"Get into what, my dear?" He asked closing his eyes, "Your skirt? No, no, no... That'd be outlandish. I'd much rather get into your head... Then into your pants. That's the way I roll."
He had to try really hard to himself from laughing about his stupid comment.
Yeah, that's right. Pull on that cocky confidence.

The girl laughed. "That's what they all say..." She was slowly losingher confidence. This always happened.
Not now
She smiled, then pulled him toward the bar. "I'm thirsty..." she said softly. "Butterbeer, please!" she called. She must have passed as old enough, because the bar tender brought her the drink.

Sherlock smiled and watched her get her drink. He wasn't at all surprised that she was given the drink, everyone seemed to be getting what they wanted without any real problems.
She seems nice.
"So, what say we do something?" He asked with a stupid grin on his face.
Stay confident.

"Ummm...sure!" It was easy to tell that she was losing confidence. She gained the trust of someone, then rememebred her horrible past.
"Like what?" she asked him.
Just stay cool...cool and calm...

Sherlock looked up. "I don't know." He laughed. She was upset about something, he could see that. "Want to just take a seat over at one of the booths and talk?"

"Sure." Melody replied, brushing her long blonde hair off of her shoulders. Her grey eyes looked around, until she found a booth in the corner.
"Over here..." she started to walk over to it.

Sherlock followed and sat down on one side, watching her as she sat.
"So, want to tell me what's bothering you?"
He asked with a comforting smile, a honest look of concern on his face.
"If you're willing to talk, I'm willing to listen and help out as much as I can."

The girl looked into her drink. "Just...something my brother did..."
"It's nothing..."
You always say that...

Sherlock sighed and put his hand on her hands.
"That's a lie."
He smiled again and took one of her hands.
"Now come on. Tell me what's the matter. I promise I'll listen."

Melody still looked down. She pulled her hand away. Odd behavior...but she was different.
"I said it was nothing, okay?" she said, sounding aggrivated.
